  2. I think there are now 15-20 places to buy gluten-free freeze dried or long storage survival food on the net. Some places use the gluten free pantry foods.... Sorry I'm on a time crunch now but google & you will get many to select from.... I have purchased from several places...
  3. I don't think there is anything to replace good Ole Grass fed beef or organic chicken but have you tried protein shakes? Also some vegans may be able to give you some suggestions....I know some nuts are full of protein, quinoa too. My vegan friends eat lentil loaf & nuts & quinoa....there are some tasty gluten-free vegan meals available....

  7. We found them several years ago , they are okay but kids said don't buy anymore! We had a bag of each three flavors.. cheese got eaten first the others didn't even get finished,,,, bird's liked them.!!! I guess we liked the homemade gluten-free ones that resembled & tasted more like the original ones....

I too have used Schar...several bakeries now sell them.... for a recipe I have used recipes from betterbatter or Nicole hunn from her bread cookbook....both were very good...I'm loving the pinterest gluten-free , so much to choose from... it can take several hours of my time as there are so many recipes...
  9. I just found out See's candy shoppe is all gluten-free now.....I make the cookie/candy turkeys for thanksgiving & needed a replacement for the malted candy that is used for gluten eaters & I found the perfect size ball at See's.....
  10. I would use a gluten free flour blend like cup4cup , better batter, or King Arthur flour blend....& make as recipe states.. Just change out the flour... you also could google the recipe using gluten-free Swedish Tea Ring.... I bet you would find one esp. on Pinterest gluten-free..... I have seen gluten-free bloggers also...

  12. gluten free registry, gluten free roads,find me gluten free to name a few....chick-fi -la , Wendy's, red robin, arby's , burger king, chipotle, five guys, to name a few fast food joints......that have a gluten-free menu.... we use the first two ..... I suggest that you carry along a gluten-free goodie bag for a just in case scenario...

Bartfull do you have a Costco near you? they carry the restaurant size loaf of the gluten-free Udi's....it is like a large loaf of wide deli bread.....first time I made a whole sandwich with it I was stuffed after being used to the 1/2 size piece of bread! I call this larger size the he-man size! great for grilled sandwiches...
  14. bartfull is so right on.... one can get ill responses from certain foods even if it is gluten-free but I to do not believe it was gluten that caused a response... We eat cheese whiz in broccoli casserole.... Oddly enough is one for you: I can eat a gluten-free product by itself but when I add another gluten-free food ...

I did this with wheat flour but every baking thing I've ever read said to lightly spoon in the gluten-free flour into measuring cup then level off with a knife...this is the first time I have seen it another way.. now days I usually just use my scale because the gluten...

  17. The no flour peanut butter cookie dough is very moist did you use that recipe? I usually just use my old wheat recipes & sub out the flour.....I use KAF, Jules, Betterbatter or dup4cup....I've made ten different gluten-free cookies for the holiday & I took some for a party & even the gluten eaters gave...
  18. some people just need to know for positive because that is just the way they roll, if a doctor confirms then it becomes more "REAL" to them & their brain understands but when no formal dx's , there is after awhile that they become skeptical if they truly have the disease...the gluten-free lifestyle is or does not...

  23. I agree with Kareng something was wrong. Canyon Bakehouse is a very good company...& I too like the 7 grain. & their burger buns...
