    Yes, you should check her medical history out esp. if you are not sure what she has been doing in those five years....I would want a full history work-up so you know for sure what her needs maybe now besides celiac....Bodies change quickly at that age for a female....Plus I'm fairly sure she could have a few emotional issues with a major change at that age...

    You should do well at the family condo.....I get naked nuggets & fries (gluten-free) at chik f lay....that is terrible you got sick at Outback & Red Robin... I know some chains are better with food handling than others... There are some gluten-free places I just can't trust... 'I did get sick at Outback my very first...

    I can bring you canyon bakehouse bread if you want.....I can get it at 6.49 a loaf... We cart a real freezer with us , it will be empty going to Ohio.. I 'll be glad to bring you anything you can't find or want.....I can give you my cell number ....

I do have the places "the gang" suggests just thought you may know of newer ones....I don't sit in a big gluten-free mecca area either.... so while I'm in a big city I buy lots of things I can't find else where... We don't have stores like Anderson's , Jungle Jim's, meyer's so it is a treat...

    Don't be scared... Go to one of the gluten-free travel sites ie; gluten-free registry, gluten-free roads, find me gluten free there are many & they will give you the places in the area (town) you could ever want.... Of course if you can get to Disney a wonderful gluten-free meal is always there! We always feel safe at Outback...

    Jules is good... I agree the shipping is usually very high , that is why some online shopping is better because you can pick up free shipping.... If you want flours with more of the good grains then the almond/ coconut , whole grain blends are much better....

    Colleen, here I sit in Pittsburgh, Pa thinking not much here to offer a gluten-free person!.. I do like the Raisin Rack in Canton..... & Columbus has a big Whole Foods not that WF has a lot of gluten-free....We also like Jungle Jim's in Cinnci.... Do you know of any extra tasty gluten-free restaurants in Columbus? Don't know if...

    betterbatter is a good choice & price is good as well...I use several blends as I like one blend for a few things & another for other things.....here are a few top choices: Betterbatter Jules tom sawyer cup for cup King Arthur flour Mama's blends Meister authenic foods classic blend....

    They are popular for a quick fix when nothing else is available.. I thought when they first came out the food had little nutritional value more like quick gluten-free junk food, lots of processed stuff....so I haven't had any of these since I avoid that kind of stuff now...I would hope by now they have added healthier...

    we actually fry with it.... has a higher heat index. Put over salads, potatoes & I use it for oil when baking gluten-free sweets...I also have used it as a moisturizer on the face .. I like coconut oil for that too.... we get a liter bottle at Costco for ten bucks....

    If you don't want to mix up your own mix I tested Bob's Red Mill pie crust & it was good & very easy to work with.. I usually just make my own but in a pinch Bob's works!!!! Whole Foods has a ready made pie crust that is also good for ready made....

    I never heard of this! but I have been in allergist practice where there are signs no perfumes, no nuts, no dairy are permitted in this office...a bit different than in a grocery store....people can be so crazy... for instance we were eating at a Texas Roadhouse where peanuts are everywhere & shells thrown on the floor...

    Hello & Welcome.. Please know that you must be consuming at least two slices of bread a day for about three weeks or longer to have an accurate blood test... You haven't stopped gluten for only a few days but get back to eating it so your test comes back with accurate info...It may be hard to do but I recommend biting the bullet now & not be feeling...
