  1. I agree with Laura..... I have heard Goat milk is easier to digest then cow milk...
  2. We find the larger loaf at Costco.... $ 7.99 for one loaf.... I believe this is the loaf that is also sold to restaurants who make gluten-free... It is good to make a Real size sandwich but we don't like it toasted but do like it grilled!!!! It comes into the business frozen; many times it is out on a bread shelf, we do put it back in the freezer after we...
  3. There is a product called Epicor... we have been taking this for several years to help keep us free of the colds, flu, virus that floats around in this planet. With kids in school they pick up everything & carry it home to share with the family....We have not had the flu .virus since beginning this product several years ago....It is a lifesaver for us...
  4. first off, you can drop off a gluten-free loaf of bread at my house!!!! I get celiac disease & it will be ever so greatly appreciated!!!!!!! For many people it is very hard for them to wrap their minds around celiac or NCGS....some just can't understand that food ( the staff of life) could possibly be a cause of their issues....I've said this years ago...
  5. For what it's worth my knee is bone on bone,,, for about 2 years now.. I was to the point where I couldn't walk much without assistance & couldn't do steps... I went to several knee docs, all agreed with the bone on bone dx's but like Ken & Cheryl I have severe reactions to the planet so all three docs agreed that I would have to be wheel chair bound...
  6. I have osteopenia & have tried the drugs which made me ill & then all the reasons cyclinglady gave .....I take natural forms of bone builders & have stayed okay... I do need to add much more exercise. My mother's doctor almost forced her to take these drugs then all she did was have fractures & jaw problems.....
  7. I may have lost a message or two but you have been already DX'D with the skin condition DH? IF this is the case then you NEED to be gluten free for life......sorry if I missed that in previous messages....
  8. HI, Don't wait to long for the second knee... Our PT daughter thinks the recovery is better when one doesn't wait until they are wheel-chair bound.... some docs say the same... my hubby waited two years on the second one when doc said do it within a couple months... the outcome has been totally opposite from the first one.. He even fell on the first one a...
  9. being celiac or gluten sensitive is the same results in the end, both require a 100% gluten free diet/lifestyle...24/7 to maintain better health.....as far as how much gluten does one need for testing! Some say two slices of bread is enough daily... My thought is if you are going through testing let's get the most correct...
  10. If you have celiac or NCGS the result is the same, a gluten free lifestyle 24/7 , 365 days a year......I'm repeating a previous poster: DO NOT go off gluten until all testing is complete including the biopsy.....I don't believe in skimping on gluten before testing , you want a big bunch of gluten in your system so there...
  11. I think it depends on how strict the place is when being made/processed.... there are many gluten-free foods I don't eat because I react do to CC.... for instance the new law stating 20ppm is safe for celiac---- if one is super sensitive then that is not safe for that person.... but may be fine for another celiac...
  12. You may be gaining weight because you now are absorbing the nutrients from the food you eat or being gluten free doesn't always mean you are eating healthy foods... The gluten-free diet lacks protein, & fiber plus some vitamins....the gluten-free diet contains lots of starches ie: cornstarch, tapioca starch, potato...
  13. constipation is VERY common in celiac maybe even more then the BIG D.......I've been gluten-free twelve years & still have major constipation issues......
  14. Makes no sense at all for me! But perhaps they are thinking of less than 20 ppm's? which for me is not gluten-free....
  15. No pizza in the Pittsburgh, Pa area yet!!!! We are not on the list but maybe down the road they will add more pizza hut's
  16. The pizza they are using is Udi's gluten-free kit... that is safe & gluten-free... problem comes in that it is prepared as safely as it can be but it still is a place that has tons of wheat products so the CC is the problem... plus it becomes an unsafe pizza if someone decides they want to add maybe peppers &...

  20. There are many gluten-free onion soup reipes over the net but there are ready made gluten-free ones too... although we loved Lipton's we found good alternatives that are gluten-free..... Book's is a kosher gluten-free one... Vogue Cuisine , Chef Swagger's Kitchen Riega onion soup mix... Mom's gluten-free onion mix....just a few... many...
  21. I can't answer your question about TJ"s chicken but the word "Brined"" stuck out to me... Again I don't know their brining solution but I do know when some people "brine" meats they add in beer, & such... I would doubt that would be a factor a Trader Joe's but the brining solution could contain a gluten product....
  22. Frushcetta/ sabatasso are one in the same plus it is listed under another name but all the samegf pizza with a different name label... They are frozen & even the gluten eaters like it. We add veggie toppings....it does have cheese tho... Bold is another popular one in my area.... For making a homemade pizza we love Carol Fenster recipe then add whatever...

  25. My vote goes to insensitive. but if you think about it she was trying to get a response from you& you gave her nothing! Good for you....I just chalk it up to ignorance! People like this love to make others feel bad ....another good reason to have some tempting gluten-free goodies around.. I always like something Italian that smells like I want to dig...
