It sounds like you have some nasty issues going on...I would suggest a new doctor, call your local hospital & tell them what's going on & then they can refer some names.....or check to see if there is a local support group for gluten free in your area & contact them...they would share...
  2. I think this is one aspect of being gluten-free for health reasons is so hard.. We mostly don't appear to be ill or look like we have a serious disease....plus for the layperson who knows nothing about health issues just can't wrap their head around a statement that eating food could make us terribly ill not to mention...

Many hospitals are not up to par when it comes to gluten-free...others got it....same with nursing homes....When I go to our local hospital there is only a handful of foods that are gluten-free & they usually are terrible.. so I have my hubby bring in gluten-free food that I can enjoy....I refuse to eat cardboard bread ...

  6. I have a gluten-free chiffon cake recipe but it has champagne in it!!!! Yours looks good as well without the booze.... I don't drink but I cook/bake with beer & wine!
  7. there are many great cookbooks but look on the recipe section here you will find good things.. also betterbatter.org has many recipes on that site for free. Plus there are so many excellent gluten-free boxed mixes available... Baking Classics by Annalise Roberts gluten-free on a shoestring by Nicole Hunn gluten-free artisan bread in five minutes.. there...

  10. Full flavor foods makes gluten-free gravies that are excellent.... McCormicks was just okay.....krusteaz was again okay but there are better ones.....
  11. Laura, the meatballs are called CASA, they have both the wheat ones & the gluten-free ones... the gluten-free is stated on the front of the bag.... I usually make my own but with work they are good in a pinch.... I've served them many times & gluten eaters & gluten-free all liked them.....makes an easy appetizer...
  12. freshcetta, Sabatasso's, & Schwan's gluten-free pizza are one in the same.....this info comes directly from Freschetta......Sabatasso is sold at Costco...... I just found a gluten-free ready made/cooked meatloaf at Sam's plus they have gluten-free meatballs in their freezer section.... I belong to both sam's & Costco...

Just didn't want to offend or discourage anyone from ever cooking a gluten-free comfort food...pasta/noodles can be a pain to cook correctly, the problem I see with gluten-free noodles is the falling apart when reheating....but again some like them that way... I found these gluten-free noodles to stay together when reheating...

I do have to comment on slimy gluten-free noodles......I 've been gluten-free for over eleven years making gluten-free soup also for that time & I have never had or served a slimy gluten-free noodle.....Some brands do break apart easily..... If you want to make a soup using egg noodles buy Seitenbacher egg ribbons...
  17. yes, really,,,, the loaf size is just about half....price wise not much different....but again soft & pliable... no heating up the bread....I would guess it is a popular gluten-free bread re-named & a packaging change...
  18. The gluten-free bread at aldi is like a half loaf .....$3.99... One would need almost two loaves of Aldi to be the size of an Udi's loaf....The multigrain was soft & pliable but with it being so small the price isn't that great .... I did find gluten-free chicken noodle soup.. It comes from Canada is very good...
  19. there are so many just google gluten-free noodles & more than you ever would think tons of recipes come up....They all are very similar in ingredients....For egg noodles you can buy Seitenbacher egg ribbons on the A store online....they are the very best ...

I can remember eleven years ago I thought I would kill for a greasy pizza hut pan pizza..but I stuck to the cardboard gluten-free type pizza back then....now there are amazing places to get a great gluten-free pizza plus carol fenster has a wonderful pizza crust if you prefer homemade...
  21. Good Bye gluten has a decent bread, Schar, new grains, are a few names that has decent breads... if not you can always make your own....Udi's, Rudi's , Canyon Bakehouse a few more names....
  22. Let your doctor be your guide... bleeding is never good whether it be from a hemi or something else.....some are nothing to worry about other bleeding can be... Seek medical help until you know for sure....
  23. You are young... ask for a biopsy & scope... But yes, you need to be consuming lots of gluten for the test to be accurate.....and on the other hand you could be ncgs & no test for that just an elimination diet....... I find it odd that you feel so much better but would think about eating gluten again... all...
