  1. Stomach Distress by Liddell is a homeopathic remedy for nausea and other stomach issues.
  2. Oats made in the US are all contaminated so should not be eaten by celiacs. Quaker is the worst brand for cross contamination too. That is a no no for celiacs.
  3. I don't usually eat the cereal but hey you gotta splurge sometimes but I like to eat healthy when I can...plus I am looking on gaining weight so bring on the sugar lol
  4. Yoplait will not hide anything so just check the label. I have not had a problem with Yoplait. Dannon sucks...they won't guarantee anything to be gluten free
  5. It's a big change in life so yes it will be overwhelming and stressful and every time you go out to eat somewhere where they serve gluten you probably will be a bit anxious. I have been gluten free since 2004 and I still get nervous going out to eat at different places. The anxiety does calm down after you adjust to the diet. You are going to have to not...
  6. Sorry to hear you are feeling so bad. Have you changed your products like makeup? Things like that could have glutened you. I know the feeling of being glutened at it is never fun so I hope you feel better soon
  7. I use alot of CoverGirl lipstick and Bare Escentuals too
  8. I don't recommend biopsies because they can rule celiac in but not out. The only reason to get a biopsy would be possibly to see how much if any damage has occured so far into it.
  9. Yep they are fine:) enjoy
  10. I called themlike a few months ago and they told me they could not guarantee it and in some flavors they even said clearly that they were not gluten free. Maybe they changed. I stick with Ludens because they actually could answer it without a doubt that they are gluten free.
  11. They are fine for celiacs. They are not healthy though. Fruity pebbles are ok too and Trix just became gluten free too.
  12. I do Pilates. It is a good way to relax too
  13. I would get sick alot at first but now my immune system is pretty strong. If you are prone to getting sick you should definitely be on a good multi vitamin and be strengthening your body by getting proper rest and nutrients.
  14. Skittles are fine. As said in previous posts...maltodextrin is safe in the US unless clearly stated on the label
  15. Welcome to the board. If you ever have any questions feel free to ask anyone. Everyone here is so friendly. No question is too stupid on here so don't ever be afraid to ask something.
  16. Not only would I check your medications but I would check even products you use such as makeup and shampoo. I have never seen my intestines ball up and move as the food goes through my system and seriously that would freak me out if that happened. I do know that some people have had that before finding out about gluten and that could just be one of your symptoms...
  17. Never heard of it but it sounds like a great place for celiacs.
  18. Tide is gluten free.
  19. Not only are you not feeling well from it but you have damaged your intestines. They say even eating gluten once a month is just like not following the diet. And not following the diet is slowly killing yourself and increases your chances for cancer and other deadly diseases. I would not recommend you doing that. Wellshire Farms I believe thats the maker...
  20. Stay away from it! You need to check this stuff in everything like makeup, shampoo, and stuff like that. You would not think that stuff can gluten you but believe me it does even without you recognizing it.
  21. I am for Prometheus because they are an awesome lab for the celiac testing and doctors actually accept those results too. They are very accurate and test for alot. One of the best labs in the US for it. Enterolab testing is also good , even though I have not had it done I would recommend it from everything I have heard about it.
  22. Some celiacs react to even uncontaminated oats. The protein in oats called avenin causes reactions in people because it similar to the protein in wheat, rye, and barley. I stay away from all oats because I do not trust them. It's a big risk so I would rather stay with the definite safe stuff.
  23. Doctors are full of it sometimes when it comes to celiac. Listen to your body. Every test in the book can come back negative but you can still have a problem with gluten.
  24. You have every right to be angry. Some people have no class about it.
  25. I felt worse before I got better. It took me a long time to finally get back to normal. For some people it takes a while so hang in there. Make sure your products like makeup are also gluten free because even the smallest bit you ingest can cause you alot of misery. Also, maybe you should get a full celiac panel done because blood tests are used to monitor...
