  1. Actually, I have found some higher end ones that don't have microwaves and even some don't have fridges. Usually, you can get a fridge if you tell them it is for a medical need. I stayed in a really nice hotel and they brought me this dingy, dented fridge It was clean and worked but still.... I stayed in a hotel with fridges in the room but no microwaves...
  2. Sounds like it might be an allergic reaction to something? Have you been touching or eating anything different since it started? Like an in season fruit? Maybe pollen in the air? The thing with allergies is, even if you weren't allergic last year, seems like you could be this year. Have you been gardening and might have gotten some poison ivy or "itch...
  3. Even if you don't become completely vegan, you might try googling that word on here. We have a few gluten-free vegans running around. Might give you some ideas.
  4. This is a bit off topic here but - any doctor can do the blood test for Celiac. If it is positive, they will send you to a GI doctor.
  5. If you have Celiac Disease - It is forever.
  6. Are there any of the chains that are known to be good with gluten-free? red Robin, Outback Steakhouse, California Pizza Kitchen, PF Chang's, Bonefish Grill, Cheeseburger inParadise? I think they have that small chain with the French name? We don't have it so I can't remember. Edit - Mon Ami Gabi
  7. That's not it at all. How could a grill be glutened? - people grill bread on it , grill pizza, use marinades with soy sauce or malt vinegar or who knows what else. The basic rule of Celiac is - don't eat it if you don't know the ingredients and how it was prepared. Bring your own food, just in case. I thought you had been gluten free for longer...
  8. I am trying to get you to think and to take some responsibility for yourself. You seemed mad that they didn't have any food for you. And it surprised me that a Celiac would eat what others made. Also, on your other thread, you seem to be eating at fast food places and assuming it must be gluten-free if that is how you make it at home. I just want you...
  9. You go to all the trouble to get gluten-free products but will eat whatever people cook at a BBQ? Do you have Celiac disease? If you do, you have to stop depending on other people who haven't a clue about gluten or could care less about your health to make food for you. You are going to have to be much more careful. You can't assume BBQ chicken or a side...
  10. Ok. You are going to need to use some common sense here. You've got temporary summer employees, you've got a lot of gluten around, you've got a lot of fried things that are battered in flour....... I don't even see how that could even be gluten free. The ingredients wouldn't even matter. You are going to have to keep a little snack with you always so...
  11. Ew! I would use it in my hotel but not on the floor in a public restroom area! Just cook the eggs before you go and take bread or crackers that don't need toasting for lunch. Save the toasting for breakfast or dinner.
  12. SOunds yummy. We had a restaurant that served goat cheese coated in crushed nuts ( forget but I think pecans) then baked. They put it on salad. So good.
  13. Here is an address and email, right on their website Open Original Shared Link
  14. Why aren't there frozen veggies and some frozen chicken left from last payday? I'm just saying what I am saying to my kid on his own with a food budget for the first time. If you don't plan for running out of money - you will suffer.
  15. How do you do fried goat cheese?
  16. You asked about the food and we answered. I have to say that $7 for hard cider. $2-3 for Fritos - that's a lot of frozen veggies and rice and carrot sticks.
  17. If alcohol doesn't agree with you - don't drink it anymore. There are people on the world who can't tolerate alcohol. You might be one of them. Or, you might find, that after a year or two of gluten-free and healing, you can tolerate it again.
  18. You say you are super sensitive. That is a very small percentage of Celiacs. What most Celiacs use or eat won't work for you. That is why you haven't gotten many answers. For me, it's no big deal what's in the dye as I don't get it in my mouth. But I don't think of my self as "super sensitive". I would think you would need to call and quiz the manufacturers...
  19. I don't see anything with gluten, fiber ( except the beans), or any veggies or fruit? Sorry, hard cider doesn't count as fruit.
  20. I like those USA pans, too. I have muffin pans, cookie sheets, a round pizza pan - the ridges help crisp up a gluten-free pizza crust.
  21. I know some people love them, but I find them difficult to use. They are wobbly. When you try to put them in the oven filled with liquidy cake batter, you have to be very careful not to spill. Or put them on a cookie sheet to stabilize them.
  22. An elderly couple went into a doctor. They told the doctor "We’re having some trouble with our sex life. Could you watch and offer some suggestions?" The doctor replied, "I’m not a sex therapist. You should find someone else." The couple said, "No, No, we trust you." After watching them make love, the doctor said, "You don’t seem to be having any troub...
  23. A bus filled with politicians on the campaign trail was driving through the countryside. The bus driver, caught up in the beautiful scenery, lost control and went off a bridge. A farmer living nearby heard the horrible crash and rushed out to discover the wreckage. With grim determination, he buried the politicians. The next day, the police came to the...
  24. The rub was just salt, pepper, smoked paprika & garlic powder. Haven't eaten it yet, so we will see. For pork, we like to marinate in Worcestershire sauce, garlic and black pepper.
