  1. I don't know. I like CeraVe Open Original Shared Link
  2. This says they will be sold at Target only. Open Original Shared Link
  3. A lot of companies test for gluten. Legally, they feel better about calling things gluten-free. Its possible its made on the same lines as beer? That might be more reason for them to test. I like Hornsby's. They have one that says dry on it and its less sweet.
  4. Oats - Open Original Shared Link Rice probably comes from the same "cross-reactive" nonsense. Coffee, unless you eat the bean, has almost no protein in it. This just makes this whole idea even sillier. I imagine someone thinking - "What food would cause the biggest uproar and get me the most attention?" Open Original Shared Link
  5. Maybe gluten isn't your problem? I remember you posting your test results and they were negative? I would hate for you to miss a problem while you are assuming it is an intolerance to gluten.
  6. Did you see this calorie packed goodness? https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/104925-a-true-indulgence/
  7. We take our chocolate, coffee, wine and snack foods very seriously on this forum! This combines two of them! Now...we just need a glass of wine....
  8. We do have links on that thread to reputable sites. Unfortunately, we can't force people to read them. Nor can we keep up with all the odd theories, cures, and other myths that might pop up. We try, but it's really up to each person to use some common sense, recognize scams and attention seekers and seek out reliable info. If people don't believe...

  10. I wonder how these internet pseudo-doctors came up with this nonsense? What’s with all the talk about certain types of food causing “cross-reactivity?” There is not yet reliable data about cross-reactivity. As for the alleged possibility that many gluten-free foods or drinks (such as coffee, milk, orange juice, etc.) would trigger symptoms in celia...
  11. WHY? WHY can't they add gluten to this things! I do not need these luscious treats! Open Original Shared Link
  12. 10 days is not enough time to heal. It might be months or a year or more. Give it some time. As for letting bees sting you - that won't help with Celiac and can be very dangerous.
  13. For just the coffee pot part - we have used a Magic Eraser. Need to rinse well as it leaves a little dust. Also, it can be hard to get into the pot
  14. Alcohol should be so highly processed that there would not be any remaining grain proteins - no matter what the grain. I'm guessing most would be corn based in the US. When I go to the hair dresser, her hairspray has wheat germ oil in it. I let her spray but cover my mouth. I think if you keep your mouth shut and maybe wipe off your lips, even with...
  15. If I clean a pot with vinegar - I think it tastes like vinegar for a few times. I run water through a cycle at least 3 times to get it all out. Its probably not gluten as vinegar is gluten-free because of how its made. And vinegar in coffee would make me feel icky!
  16. Heinz vinegar is made from corn. Maybe you didn't rinse enough? Open Original Shared Link
  17. You probably missed it but she has only been gluten-free for a week. Probably a little early to worry about being extra sensitive. As we all know, it usually takes more than a week to even realize what foods have gluten. I remember a couple of posters talking about someone eating corn flakes or Rice Kripsies (both with barley malt) for several years...
  18. That's not spam. Its fine. I wondered why it had a minus in front of the number, too. We don't delete topics or posts here unless they are really objectionable.
  19. I don't think the infant feeding studies have determined what exactly is going on. In fact, the studies seem to say that introducing gluten before 4 months or delaying to after 6 months both increase the chances of celiac development. Also, there is no scientific evidence that there is a " trigger" for Celiac. It seems like it might be true but doesn't...
  20. Gluten is too big to be absorbed through the skin. The medications that are absorbed are specially made to be small enough and have special additives that allow them to pass through to the blood stream. Gluten must be in the intestines to cause us to make the antibodies that cause damage. Open Original Shared Link "What ingredients should I avoid in...
  21. It can take months to heal and feel a lot better. Eliminate gluten and maybe, dairy. Dairy is hard to digest for the first few months for many people. You don't have to eliminate all grains. Coffee is harsh on your stomach but does not contain gluten. There is no such thing as cross- reaction, so don't worry about that. I don't know much about the...
  22. We don't delete past posts or accounts. I don't think you gave any identifying info. If your posting name is your " real " name, Scott, admin, can change the name for you.
  23. Look at Simona's recipes. She is known for her gluten-free bread baking
  24. There are lots of bread recipes on this forum. Go to the main page and use the google function in the upper right corner. Use the little cog and select the view as posts.
  25. All yeast, except maybe brewer's yeast, is gluten free. Don't spend extra for a pack that says " gluten-free"
