  1. Wow! It was more popular than I thought! Seriously, it sounds like something is going on and it might not be Celiac. Please explore all your options and keep an open mind.
  2. Probably. Might depend on the brands. Read the ingredients?
  3. Celiac symptoms are also symptoms for many other illnesses. Because this came on so suddenly and it is getting worse on a gluten-free diet, I would not limit my search to just Celiac ( if it were me). Yes, I know that won't be a popular stance.
  4. I think, but you could check, that Utz doesn't make anything in the chip factory with gluten. I was just going to respond on your Smarties thread. You are eating various brands of a candy type, maybe one of those brands isn't as gluten-free as the others? I haven't checked the gluten-free candy list, but remembered the name brand are gluten-free? Not...
  5. Maybe Celiac isn't the issue? Maybe you contracted a parasite? Or some other intestinal issue?
  6. Not sure if this law will apply to restaurants.
  7. I asked this on another thread, too. Which lunch meat contained gluten? I haven't seen any in the US, so I think it would be helpful for everyone to know.
  8. I haven't found any regular lunch meats that have gluten in them. Which brand are you referring to ? You might find a contaminated deli slicer, but pre- package cold cuts are usually gluten-free. I'm in the US so I suppose it could be different in another country.
  9. That is an old internet rumor. Bags are heat sealed usually. A wheat based glue would dissolve in hot water. A few teas are "malted" so you would want to check ingredients for barley or malt.
  10. If you use that as your guide, you won't be able to eat anything! I have even seen people who claim to react to plain water! Read the ingredients and try not to let internet rumors and misinformation get to you.

  12. Haven't found any of these types of drinks to have gluten. What are the ingredients you think might be gluten?
  13. He might have wanted to make sure you are really gluten-free. And rule-out refractory sprue.
  14. To add to what Irish said - A body makes antibodies as a response to an invader - like a germ. Normally, these antibodies attack the germ. In the case of Celiac, the antibodies attack the intestines. This may be the body's way of keeping us from digesting something it thinks is an invader. However, destroying the intestines isn't really a good idea...
  15. There are no valid stool tests for Celiac disease or gluten sensitivity. 2 days gluten-free shouldn't make any difference.
  16. Open Original Shared Link What is a gluten challenge? A gluten challenge is the period of time when gluten is added back into a person’s diet to assist in the diagnosis of celiac disease. Antibodies take time to build into the blood stream before they can be detected through blood analysis. For a gluten challenge we recommend eating 1/2 slice of bread o...
  17. Oh! You haven't been a Mommy long enough! Sleeves have new meaning to a Mom!
  18. The whole point of my post is that what you were calling gluten (colors and flavors), doesn't sound like it was gluten.
  19. When you posted about the movie popcorn I thought - just some clueless people telling her that as I have never heard of any movie popcorn having gluten. Some of us tried to explain that to you. Then you mentioned some restaurants putting gluten in dishes that wouldn't normally have it. I, mistakenly, took that to mean they were adding flour to the...
  20. Because you disagreed or had a sarcastic answer for every suggestion you were given.
  21. Well...even tho you started asking about asthma and some minor shortness of breath feeling and tiredness....when people tried to explain some common reasons for that, you knew it wasn't any of those things. Too bad it's not severe anemia caused by Celiac. That is easily curable. Cured those issues for me.
  22. It needs to be a fresh outbreak Open Original Shared Link
  23. Could ask to run the Celiac panel again if you think you have been very gluten-free for 3 months or longer. The numbers might not be perfect, but you could see them going down. Or mention that you want to get them tested 6 months gluten-free and get that scheduled. Open Original Shared Link
  24. I have moved this. No need to post the same thing multiple times - tends to confuse some of us.
  25. Odd link but I think I found what you were linking to. It mentions ingesting with the inhaling. To me, it is just common sense that if it gets in your throat, some will get in your stomach and onwards.
