  1. If you can get the Boars head pre-packed, those are the best. We also like the hormel Naturals Open Original Shared Link I like the smoked turkey and the honey or smoked hams. M says the regular turkey is a bit slimy.
  2. Perhaps you should take a look at the safe and unsafe food lists to see if you have eliminated the gluten containing ones. Of course the safe list cannot list every single food we can eat /celiac-disease/safe-gluten-free-food-list-safe-ingredients-r181/
  3. When I had babies, the neighbors brought food. i was thinking of some things I would have felt comfortable letting the neighbors do: watch baby so I could shower in peace run an errand (have a stash of cash to send with them) drive me and baby for a brief erand so I could get out walk the dog vacuum baby laundry take other kids out to play play...
  4. Gluten particles don't float around in the blood stream and become semen if that is what you are asking. Kissing someone with gluten in thier mouth could get gluten in your mouth.
  5. I wouldn't let them feed me. I like the idea of them helping with chores.
  6. Are you asking if canned foods contain gluten? In the US, that should be listed in the ingredients. There is no reason I have seen, related to Celiac, not to eat canned foods
  7. Sounds like the stomach virus that just went thru a school here.
  8. I live with gluten eaters. I think the key to that is: 1. They must "buy into" the Celiac diagnosis: Both my boys had friends with Celiac (I didn't know this at the time) so they had an idea that it was real. They and my hub wanted to make me well 2. Old enough to be responsible for thier own food: My boys were 13 and 16 and were already responsible...
  9. Crazy, ain't it? "Ingredients List: Tomato Puree (Tomato Paste, Water), High Fructose Corn Syrup, Salt, Dried Onions, Partially Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil (Soybean And/Or Cottonseed), Spices, Hydrolyzed Corn Gluten, Soy & Wheat Gluten Proteins, Grated Romano Cheese Made From Cow's Milk (Cultured Milk, Salt, Enzymes), Garlic, Citric Acid, Yeast,...
  10. Asked if the gluten is listed and how to see the ingredients before we bought them as I didn't see any on the website. Looking at this response, I'm guessing that the trace of gluten won't hurt our diabetes? they appear really clueless. It does worry me if the coffee does contain gluten, how would you know when you ordered that it wasn't like all other...
  11. See Mommida? We can make a joke out of almost anything!
  12. I usually use the tip of a sharp knife or a fork tine and poke a little hole in the wrapper
  13. Glad your doggy is OK. You can't really hijack a thread that has no direction!
  14. When I left class Tue night, our experiments were in the kiln at 1000F. Won't see them until next week. Yes. Its a proven fact that every year 23 people in the US drown in thier own sweat!
  15. I like them on salad, too. Just check the brand you are buying for ingredients. I once saw a brand with "wheat" flour in it. If you live in the US, here is a list of the ones that Frito Lay will say are gluten-free. Other may be but these are the ones they test. I get Santitos all the time and my fat behind loves them. Open Original Shared...
  16. That's good. Sounds like the mom listened to your suggestion. If you go to the doctor, have a list of questions. Ask for copies of her previous Celiac antibody tests. Ask that they send you any new blood work they are taking that day when they get the results. If you haven't recieved them in 2 weeks, call to see if they forgot to send them. Sometimes...
  17. What do you mean? Didn't they remove it the first time? Usually, if you have an appendix problem, they remove it before it becomes worse and more dangerous. Once its removed, its unlikely to be an issue.
  18. You can keep them in your diet. The amount of calories you choose to consume is your choice.
  19. Not eating something will not make you sensitive to it. For example, People usually only eat watermelon 2 months of the year. They aren't sensitive to it when they start eating it again. You could find that you had a sensitivity to something and didn't know it until you deleted it. You could certainly eat anything when not at home. For a person...
  20. They are avalable in the US. I bought some in a kitchen goods store and ordered on-line. I only use them to travel. I don't eat much toast or bread. On this link, we discuss where we got them & Jestgar has a liink to make your own bags
  21. It was thier US website. It had products for sale in the US. There was no way, that I could find, to see the ingredients of the plain or flavored coffees before you ordered them.
  22. Why don't you email or call and see what they tell you. we can see if they are consistant or maybe tell one of us something else. They may be wondering why all the interest in gluten.
  23. They answered my first email within a few minutes. But haven't answered the one asking what it is and if its clearly labelled. I'm wondering if "Our coffees contain a trace of Gluten" is Swedish for CYA.
  24. Only you and the moderators can see it. Yours has no warnings. If you didn't follow one of our simple rules, like say you tried to sell us your cure for wrinkles and put your wrinkle cure website up, you would be warned. It would then show a bit of green in the bar. You would get a PM about why you are warned. Post your wrinkle cure once and never again...
