  2. That's weird. Let me see if I can find something out. I'm in KC.
  3. you did get answers to the MRI white spots on your other thread.
  4. Did you try your local Celiac Support group? A lot of them have activities or get-togethers for kids. google "Celiac group st louis"
  5. Do you know how often they poop and how much? I know they are a little old for a bathroom monitor, but because they are having issues, it might be good to look and keep track of. This might help you to know if they are constipated or not. Would give you something definite to show a doctor?

    ARCHIVED Subway

What are the " wraps" made out of? I worry that the fillings are cc'd, too. I didn't know they had any tortilla like thing that is gluten-free.
  7. Some food dyes can do this, too. If its occasional, that might be it. My hub got " college s hook colors" tortillas chips. His school colors were black and gold. Gold were the regular color and they dies the others black. He pooped green for 2 days and scared himself! Black , blue and green dyes tend to make poop green sometimes. See if she had a...
  8. Eat first, bring food, eat after...... If the food is going to be hard to resist, I bring something I really like but don't eat often, like Fritos or a Snickers bar or peanut M&Ms. It's a good idea to always carry some nuts or a granola type/ Lara bar with you. You might get stuck somewhere with nothing to eat. As you go along, you will find...
  9. I think in this case, she can stop the iron for 2 or 3 days and see if that is the cause. Simple, easy fix. If it is the cause, she might be able to reduce the dose or change brands. And she can have some peace of mind.
  10. Not likely to have gluten. Barley malt as a sweetener would add calories, forgone thing. And it pull be listed in the ingredients. I have Celiac type symptoms from some of the artificial sweeteners.
  11. some of the iron supplements can do that. A malfunctioning digestive system can do that, too. You may need more time to heal. The easiest thing to do is, don't take the iron pills for a couple of days and see if the color changes.
  12. My boys work outside in the 100 degree heat. Potassium is something they need to make sure they get enough of. They drink more milk and fruit juices ( apple, grape & orange). One will eat bananas. My mom needs a bit more potassium and her doc prefers she drink juice and milk rather than take a supplement. Just another way to get more potassium. ...
  13. Not sure what the normal range on those blood tests are. They are different based on the lab. But obvious inflammation and scalloping....Welcome to the club! We will send your secret decoder ring shortly!
  14. Last summer, here in Kansas, the corn withered and died. The sorghum looked great! Perhaps it's a bit hardier than the corn?
  15. You should be eating a full gluten diet if you are doing an endoscopy to diagnose Celiac. Being gluten free for several months can heal or partially heal your small intestine. Then the Docotor will say, " See. You don't have Celiac.".
  16. It is possible you have Celiac and something else going on, too. I'm not familiar with "coad".. If that's is serious enough that you can't have an endoscopy or a pill cam, maybe that's causing your issues? Did they do Celiac blood tests? Hopefully, you are getting some tests on your prostate? 5 years ago you had a small problem! Hopefully, you are...
  17. Check with the company, not someone's mother's cousins plumber says only the green ones are gluten-free. I posted the link before, but this is what they say. Also, if you read the ingredients, they don't have any gluten listed in the 3 I read. Powerade is a Coca cola product. "None of the Coca‑Cola or Schweppes brands contain gluten, ...
  18. Did you have the no calorie version? Artificial sweeteners can bloat you. Some of them bother me. Otherwise, Powerade should be gluten-free. I don't care for it so I haven't read the ingredients lately. Very few commercial mass produced drinks have gluten in them. DId you check with the company that makes them? Says they are all gluten-free. Open...
  19. YMBCI.... You can have multiple pages on a thread about pancakes falling apart! And people understand!
  20. If you are going to be tested for Celiac, you need to resume a regular gluten filled diet. You don't need to eat dairy, but you should not be gluten free.
  21. Mine does. Sometimes laying down on one side then the other helps. Sometimes it just takes some time for the soreness to go away. Also, a little baked potato or rice Chex helps me. I think it is just something simple for it to work on and get it back to working properly.
  22. My older son found his Celiac knowledge helps him meet girls in the Dorm cafeteria.
  23. Ciders are nice when its hot. If you really liked beer, you might want to wait a month or two more before trying the gluten-free ones. They are different. Its good to let your taste buds "forget" sometimes.
  24. That's funny. M is the Gluten Police. He will take things out of my hands to read the ingredients if he thinks they have wheat in them. He stops people from helping themselves to chips until he is sure I have had some.
  25. Took M up to B&N to buy a book for his HS summer reading. They have a Starbucks and occasionally, I'll get him a Frapachino. So I got him one. He got the Mocha cookie one. They blend Oreo type cookie crumbs in it. I had already had coffee and didn't want anything. The 2 guys working, thought it was odd I didn't want anything. Then they gave the...
