  1. Open Original Shared Link. Sounds interesting
  2. I guess you could report them to the FDA. I believe the legal definition in the US of spices is that they can't contain grain. They must be spices. Also, if they are adding wheat without labelling, that would be another legal problem. I'm guessing that they are trying to have a CYA statement and it's not been handled well. They probably mean that...
  3. Maybe he just feels so much better, he's doing all the things he would have done? Parenting may have to change a bit. What we can let slip with a sick child, we may not be able to with a more active one. I have 2 boys and I spent a good bit of time everyday wearing them out. You may have to find more physical activities for him now that he is becoming...
  4. Green beans with left-over parsley and some butter.!
  5. Hub and I had left over steak....so steak salad with blue cheese. The boys went to Buffalo Wild Wings for 50 cent Tues.
  6. I want to believe it has gluten so I don't add it to my thighs!
  7. Here's the cutting mats. I have gotten them at the Dollar store, Walmart, Bed, Bath & Beyond, etc. if you cut meat on them, they go in the dishwasher. You can curl them a bit to pour your cut veggies Ito the pot. They don't last forever. But they are cheap and fit in a suitcase. Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link At my house...
  8. Its a re-run. I saw it before. Its the stupid one where they ambush people at the grocery and tell them they shouldn't eat wheat. "Do you have gas and bloating?" "Sometimes". "Then you should cut gluten out". As if you can't occasionally have gas and bloating for other reasons or foods. Frustrating!
  9. It's gluten free. However, for me, it gives me stomach pain and bloating. I am fine with sucralose but it's harder to find diet soda without the aspartame. Yes, we know artificial sweeteners aren't good for us.
  10. And it isn't trying to sell us something!
  11. What were the results of his Celiac antibody panel? They certainly did that first? Even if he doesn't have Celiac, he can have a gluten intolerance. That is usually diagnosed by a good result with the gluten free diet.
  12. If blue cheese is on there, it should not be, at least in the US. From what people ave told me, in the UK most hot dog type things have gluten. Canada has some. The US doesnt seem to have any. I think it's a country or cultural preference. Always read the ingredient. You never know when some company will decide its a great idea to add wheat.
  13. That's amazing in so many ways! 20 Years ago when my in-law came from Russia, you could not have done that. Its great to see the progress and joy of the people.
  14. This is what it says on the US website that I provided the link to earlier in this thread. "Some people suffer from an intolerance to foods containing gluten, which is a type of protein found in wheat, rye and barley. Frito-Lay has validated through analytical testing that the following products contain less than 20 ppm of gluten. Please note: The...
  15. I assume you mean they want to remove his intestine? Because it isn't healing? This isn't enough reason for his father to feed him gluten free? I would get a lawyer and maybe the doctors can help you with some sort of emergency court order to keep his father from poisioning him? Removing part of an intestine is serious.
  16. This rice lists just rice for ingredients and says gluten free on the website: Open Original Shared Link The other "flavors" say gluten free also.
  17. Its in the US,too. We have had several threads in the last few weeks about this. It is happy news. Open Original Shared Link
  18. Probably because they are not gluten free? "Potato Slider Rolls These whole grain rolls blend a smooth texture, a delicious potato taste, and a hint of cane sugar sweetness to provide the rich flavor needed to complement sliders and small sandwiches. Made with stuff you can pronounce and ingredients you recognize Organic wheat flour, water...
  19. I think the best way to find out would be to email the company. I know some of the local BBQ sauces here are made with apple cider vinegar.
  20. Just an FYI, the original posts are 5 years old. They are probably not on this forum anymore.
  21. You have only been gluten-free for 4 days? Just start eating a regular diet with gluten. Your family practice doc can order the blood tests.
  22. Antibiotics tend to kill the good bacteria on out " guts" that help us. Have you tried to put them back in with some probiotics or large amounts of yogurt? If you want to be tested for Celiac, which isn't a bad idea, you need to be eating gluten. The blood tests look for antibodies you make to the gluten. You won't make antibodies if there isn't any...
  23. According to the gluten-free menu on- line, the onions are not gluten-free. I have heard that that location was a test for gluten-free products and may have had the onion for a time. They should have been able to give you a gluten-free menu as they have one!
  24. Last night, as we were eating a dinner of steak marinated in gluten-free teriyaki, baked potatoes with butter and cheese, corn on the cob, wine and ice cream for frappachino chip ice cream, hub said something like " I love this Celiac food".
  25. It could have been a virus. Sometimes, the vomitting gets the balance of good bacteria off. Maybe some probiotics or yogurt everyday? She's good in the morning because she hasn't eaten for 12 hours. During the day she is eating and is having problems with the food. Just one thought.
