  10. yes, the end of the month we have family coming in - one spare room is 'ready' - we have alot to do. plus, i can't get everybody to commit what exact day they are coming, so all my plans on who to put in which house/room are all up in the air. on the up side, these plans will probably change one hundred times from now til then! the tossing out things...
  11. experimental night tonite - i have rice paper wraps, assorted veggies and frozen shrimp. i'm thinking of marinating the veggies and rolling them up with cooked shrimp. but i also have cream cheeeeeeese. and i wonder if i wrap them up and fry them how that will be. playing with my food again.....

  15. mondays and tuesdays i can usually count on eating alone so i get to 'play with my food' - last night was (rice) flour wrap with turkey, cheddar with peach salsa. it was yums, so it will move on to round 2 where husband will be the guinea pig taster.   16. my husband is a huge buffet fan that's all he plays on the boat. well, we got the (above ground) pool all cleared up - no dead bodies, thank the Lord! he picked up a sand filter secondhand and it is working wonders. last year i *could not* get the water right (THAT right THERE will make you believe in creation lolz how could humans be ph balanced...

  18. saturday, we made baked butterfly shrimp w/spinach & arugula salad. i just chop up a bunch of herbs & garlic, stick them onto the shrimp, bake them in unsalted butter and put olive oil, lemon juice, salt & pepper in the greens. that's it nice & light yesterday we had the church youth luncheon (fundraiser thing) so we made giant samwiches...

  23. here you go, bunz - this is simona's recipe, i thought it was on this forum, but i can't find the link.. i use lactaid for the rice milk, sometimes sub flours, etc and if you omit the sugar, it will be savory. the batter is pretty forgiving and this summer i am probably going to adjust it ever so slightly to make funnel cakes. just fry in deeper oil. ...
