  1. mleh, i'm making him paint today. i think we finally found a painter for the gables and high spots. he wants to start tuesday, which is the first one who actually suggested a target date. now, that being said, he showed up late and it was already pretty dark to look at what we wanted done. and he brought his dad, who was pretty juiced up....... ...
  2. good to see you, barty i have 2 ice cream type thingys i want to make and i keep running out of time - dah!
  3. it took about 2 weeks for my gut to stop sounding like a war zone. when i first took them, i was like: those noises can't be good! and i was afraid and stopped taking them for awhile until i (lolz) read the insert in the culturelle package. it's just the flora getting established and doing their job.
  4. my 'friend' jeff does bbq in knoxville, tn that is just smoke, no rub, no sauce. pork butt and it is to die for. if you are going to head this direction, let me know and i will find out the name of his place. i just put a little sweet baby rays sauce on it i had some yesterday and it was so good!
  5. yummmmz - i was thinking the vanilla with blueberries i have my hubs home for 4 (four) whole days. and zero kids for 3 (three) of those days - i don't know how to act! i am having bonefish (copycat recipe) for dinner tonight, too!! bang bang shrimp! <the fireworks theme - happy 4th *i* would like to have plain rice noodles and maybe...
  6. i don't know about anybody else, but my husband was *super-cute* when he was all nervous trying to get with me he made up all sorts of excuses to show up where he knew i would be (i could see right through it, btw lolz) he called me to ask about Really Stupid Things (my dad hired him, i was his boss) i was used to the smooth talking type and had no use...
  7. lolz, a Toothbrush Necklace <a Dating Celiac Must Have! i do like the automatic second date! that way, it is the way it's always gonna be right from the start: no gluten kissing
  8. in my dreams, k, in my dreams my bff and i came thiiiiiiiiiiis close to opening a hot dog truck (got shot down on the permit, blah, blah) so, we all ate lots and lots of hot dogs - thankfully they were sabrett's yes, sirree, it was Hot Dog Summer.... sure, y'all, come on over! bring your swimsuit - head soaking is optional
  9. c'mon i gots plenty. and beers because beer has food value. (food has no beer value) <hubs favorite saying lolz
  10. it's my take on a cuban sammich - roast pork, ham, swiss. the pork is roasted for like, 12 hours, it is stupid good edited to add: google 'media noche' <i think that's how it's spelled. midnight snack!
  11. i was skeptical myself (and i was the one getting sick! lolz) and we also are not rolling in 'dough' but i found that if i replaced things one at a time, it was do-able. i figured out the pot/pan i used the most and that was replaced first (saute pan, in my case). if you have a 'ross' store, they have decent stainless for pretty cheap(er). or maybe and...
  12. good for you, addie! i have this sandwich i make, and it's awesome. my kids are all bugging me to try to sell them at the street fair they do in town on labor day weekend. plenty of lead time. except, i would like to see if i can fake people out and get some udi's rolls <like the delicious ones they sell to red robin) so i contacted udi's....
  13. i had both stainless steel and non-stick cookware. the stainless can be cleaned really well with brillo and you should be fine. i don't use the non-stick ones anymore because they were scratched up and gluten can hide in the scratches.
  14. quoting you, dude. ok, so, not even enough gluten to be semi-enjoyable. so, the point is..........?
  15. see if you notice if she has a tummyache if she eats cheese or butter. i skipped it for probably 6 months (with much relief) and was able to add it back in - if her gut is being irritated by something she is having a hard time digesting, it may hamper her healing progress.
  16. i had to experiment with digestive enzymes/probiotics until i got the right combination. i also had much D and this has since cleared up but not until i got the right combination for me. (i need them, you may not) but i also suspect, because of the many years i was undiagnosed, that my pancreas is also not up to speed yet. i also notice that if i forget...
  17. it also says some had a relapse.... to argue over 20 mg of gluten is kind of hey have one bite of pizza? i guess whatever floats your boat - it wasn't a long term study, right. so, that's what you are: a living, long term study? report back in 10 years, i suppose. you must have been diagnosed for a reason.
  18. sorry you are sick but if you want the test to be accurate, you need to keep eating the gluten - i think a few slices of bread per day should do it, though. celiac walks hand in hand with thyroid, but thyroid problems also benefit from gluten free diet. get tested - hang in there! did they do biopsies when they did your endoscopy?
  19. i tried (the plain) kind in the big bag yesterday and i am so happy so far - no digestive issues, no headache, no rib thingy - if i am still good tomorrow, i gots me a new favorite oatmeal (OATMEALLLLL!!! yeh!)
  20. hello, friend. you seem to be obsessed with the buttholious. there are people on here who will get really sick from drinking regular beer and soy sauce made of wheat. if you are too weak or unwise enough to resist these things, please do not try to encourage others to engage in things that will hurt them. i am thinking that since you are still ingesting...

  22. this is the statement i was questioning. not bread crums. and that's what i asked. but, thanks for reading......
  23. do it especially for baking gluten-free it is the bee's knees
  24. liver. take her to the dr...
  25. what you are, in actuality doing, is making people unnecessarily afraid to eat plain ground beef. i have never once been glutened by plain ground beef. it has to be labeled if there is anything added to plain ground beef. where ever they make it, they have to label it if there is anything added to plain ground beef. if you would like to make a statement...
