  1. MINT NEED ALL WATER NOW! MINT LIKE ALL GARDEN! MINT TAKE OVER NOW! lolz mine is still behaving, looking all quiet and unassuming in it's separate pot, away from all other innocent plants. husband went out and hacked off a yellow squash the size of a nerf football and he says i got zucchini on deck. note to self: need a good gluten-free zucchini...
  2. (i like your little disclaimer in your sig line, gary ) if it's on the internet, it must be true lolz! my vitamin D was low - from what i understand it takes awhile to get up to 'normal' numbers - and i also supplement with b-12 (sublingual) - i do feel so much (very noticably!) better from taking the extra D. are you taking a probiotic? you could...
  3. barty - they have never NOT messed it up one way or another. very carefully cutting up zucchini, onions, etc on a paper plate, toss in olive oil, salt & pepper, turned my back for one second and she throws it into her non-stick pan. not eating that. salt & pepper & granulated garlic on rib-eyes, waiting to be grilled (mine on foil on a shared...
  4. too awesome, ski, it's a great feeling! but i had the hardest time boo-hooing over MY BABY lolz worse than the other 3 - you would think i'd have been used to it by then lolz LOLz brain fog, indeed - you are hilarious, w8n4! we watched the Giant Moon rise over the mountain on the river last night - so bright on the water it was like perpetual fireworks...
  5. yes, ma'am, i have done that - it was right in the beginning and my dear friend brought me over a flourless chocolate cake. in my defense (of my stupidity lolz) i had no clue about cc whatsoever - and i only had a little piece. oh, boy, lesson learned! so, don't feel alone. and, yes, you either need to speak up or bring yourself something to eat...
  6. two weeks isn't a very long time - also, how long have you been sick? if your intestines are damaged it will take a while for them to heal. wow -- they lost your biopsies.... good thing they weren't testing for ANYTHING IMPORTANT - sheesh.... your experience with your doctors sounds like mine: IBS <the elusive and mysterious 'catch-all' diagnosis...
  7. it is *exactly* like that in the beginning. i think i lived on turkey sandwiches (on gluten-free bread) for, like, a month - hang in there that being said, have you been checked to rule out other causes for your symptoms? you don't want to miss something else, although celiac is to blame for numerous problems if that is what is wrong. dumb gluten...
  8. "who's the meanest mother????" "YOU ARE" "that's right. don't you forget it." i still get mothers day cards addressed to 'the meanest mother in the whole world.' and they all turned out good. (OR ELSE!) i used to set them up to teach them lessons. ie: my youngest had 'sticky fingers' for a minute - until she swiped her own zoo trip...
  9. yah, my grandson got a toy car and he was a 'nudge' - wouldn't sit by the other kids, wouldn't participate, wouldn't dance - at then end of it they had a drawing and he happened to win. he didn't do jack to earn it and now when he goes back he's gonna be mad when he doesn't win every time.... yay..... it is a 'carnegie' library - http://en.wikipedia...
  10. my g.i. did my endoscopy - so i guess she is a g.i. surgeon? i see you are in canada, so i don't know how that all works with the different doctors. i got my results pretty quick, (she told me AND made sure she told my husband in case i didn't remember lolz) and the office called with the pathology results so i requested copies of everything at that time...
  11. what's for dinner???? ALCOHOL???? i leave you people alone for ONE DAY and y'all fall off the edge wine spritzer, huh? maybe i'll try that.... anyways, yesterday i took the kids to the library for their summer reading thingy - they had a guy playing guitar and singing the silliest songs - then they all danced the gangdam style dance - hilarious...
  12. i already had stainless steel pots and pans, so we just scrubbed them out with brillo really good and 'viola!' - gluten free! we did have non-stick frying pans, though, so i went and bought some stainless ones. (kept the old ones for 'gluten times' for the husband, although we primarily eat gluten-free he still likes a grilled cheese or that nasty balogna...

  20. i doubt they will - my son and the kid's mother are not together and i'm sure she doesn't regard my opinion as relevant - the best i may be able to do is get a copy of the test results (but i have asked and not gotten them. i'm sure she doesn't want to 'fool' with it) (i know, right? liiiick! oops!!! spit spit spit spit spit lolz) <my husband...
  21. i finally convinced my son to get my grandson tested (and figured if he had it, convince my son to eat gluten-free as well because he has digestive issues) and i have no idea what test they did or what the numbers were but the pediatrician told them feeding him gluten-free would actually be detrimental they will probably never get him tested again and the...
  22. i forget i know allll the back ways and shortcuts up there - yep i bet it's that far from dingman's. i was thinking you would pass it while you were still on i-80. any other place i could recommend would be even further (and something i don't trust as well) have a great trip! and if you find any good places up there i would love to hear about them not...

  25. that's a bona fide sin down here! i have a really good recipe (but i think everybody likes it because it's more like dessert lolz) it's like custard on the inside with a crunchyish outside. reminds me of that joke - attributes of women: kind, considerate, sympathetic, helpful, blah blah blah attributes of men: can carry heavy s$#& POTENTIAL...
