  1. Good questions from Guhlia... I also wonder if he have issues with another food such as dairy? It causes constipation for a good number of us here. Or could he have gotten an accidental glutening?
  2. Gluten can pass through breast milk...so you would need to be gluten-free yourself while breast feeding. I have read quite a few articles on breast feeding/celiac/infants etc. and the most recent research says no gluten up until 6 mos reduces chances or delays onset of celiac, however, not introducing gluten before 7 mos of age increases the likelihood...
  3. Your welcome! That is cool about the bbq too--I haven't looked through all of it yet...
  4. So glad things are beginning to improve. I'm praying for rest and a break from pain and illness for you. Let me know what happens with your shoulder. Will talk soon--will write you my NYC summary soon and try to put in a few pics PS: Love the new kitty pic too...
  5. Really? Good to know...I love their frollini cookies !
  6. Has this problem started recently Deb or could it have been damage accumulated from a long time ago?
  7. Stephanie- Thanks for posting your input... I bought the magazine once...but couldn't bring myself to buy another--it was like $7! That was incredible to me...but at the time I thought it was b/c of such a small subscription base, and that the price might improve. Sounds like some poor management or something...
  8. Hi! Someone from my local group posted on an online store she has been using: Open Original Shared Link You can buy hundreds of individual size items from the site--ketchup, salad dressing, mustard, bbq sauce etc--and they are all name brand and list ingredients. So, if you want to buy some Kraft dressing packets to take on a trip with you, you could...
  9. Marcia- Well, techincally the FDA is there to monitor them and force those kinds of companies/products not tested, regulated to carry the warning "This product is not intended to cure, treat etc. any disease...." That warning should technically be on the product you saw...but its usually more in the fine print...
  10. Yeah, like Monica said too...Senna is an herbal laxative...definitely don't want to take it on a regular or frequent basis. Your body can become dependent.
  11. Judy- So glad, no clots... Praying praying for you today. Just rest...you'll get through this... Update us when you can... Love ya friend!
  12. I prefer Living Without also...just got my latest one in the mail--always has great recipes. This issue is graham crackers, crepes, tortillas...just to name a few...
  13. Oops--that stinks! I've been using it for a few months w/o any issues. PS- Thanks Patti--maybe I'll give the "stone" a whirl

  15. Well, it does make it more difficult and confusing with kids...but we have a system that works well in our house. My dh does still eat gluten...but we have separated things out. He has his own skillet, griddle, mixing bowl, spatula for gluteny foods he might cook. I also gave him a drawer in the kitchen and that is one of place he keeps all of his gluteny...
  16. I do believe that you can get stool sitting in your colon for longer than it should, and that is why I think the psyllium is a good tool for cleaning that out--but I don't think a full-on cleanse is necessary. If you are regular now and going everyday, things are probably moving pretty well through there. Diet is key--we eat things are bodies weren't made...
  17. What brand did you get Patti?
  18. Hmm...that's interesting. How long of a period of time did you try it for? Another idea is combine psyllium with a few other items. I had C for years and tried all kinds of things to improve it. For me the psyllium has worked great…but it took me a few tries to find a brand that really did the trick. The one I use has 2 other ingredients, one of which i...
  19. I use 2--one is a Tom's of Maine all natural deoderant. The 2nd is an aluminum-free Adidas. It works pretty well. Go here to see it: Open Original Shared Link
  20. To second Jillian... I just went to NYC and Baby Cakes was really great! Good cupcakes and great chocolate chip cookies...
  21. I used to get the brain fog too...but curiously, once I gave up dairy I never had it again. So I am beginning to think that my brain fog was based on casein, not gluten issues (as I had originally assumed).
  22. Approach colon cleansing with caution...some of the cleanses are harsh and might only aggravate your system. One of the best ways to "cleanse" naturally and without harsh herbs or chemicals, is psyllium. Psyllium is an all natural fiber supplement that expands, absorbs liquids and pulls out old stool and toxins. That would be something pretty safe for...
  23. Yeah, most folks I've known w/gallbladder removal had the D go away after a short period of time... I have a lower dose magnesium/malic acid (80mg) supplement I can take w/o any issues--but we have some higher dose mag pills that cause the cramping, D and burning--ugh. Those are 400mg. I usually take two of each. For me, reducing side effects is reducing...
  24. Steph- So glad to see you back! I had been thinking about you...but never got around to pming you I ate those crackers once, but haven't since. I didn't notice a reaction per se, but every once in a while I just get a vibe from a product, usually from a statement they've made, and I choose not to trust them. Weird maybe...but I've stopped using a few...
  25. Dishsoap--that's random! Thanx for posting--I use some of their products too. On a side note--I also use Seventh Generation and Earth Friendly products too...good stuff
