ARCHIVED High Positive On Igg Elisa Test For Foods I Don't Eat?!
IrishHeart replied to Carebear's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
FWIW, here are Dr. Weil's thoughts on this. (since the maintream medical community does not seem to believe in their reliability). If people feel they are useful, then by all means, they should use them. "With certain exceptions (such as sensitivities to lactose and gluten, both of which have a genetic basis), food intolerances are often highly individual... -
ARCHIVED High Positive On Igg Elisa Test For Foods I Don't Eat?!
IrishHeart replied to Carebear's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Introduce the food to your blood? That is not how the IgG test I had worked. It was a blood sample, drawn in the doc's office and sent to the lab. The test is supposedly designed to show an intolerance to foods you are consuming. How else would the body create antibodies to it? Maybe your test was different from mine? -
ARCHIVED Help Me With These Tesults...please?
IrishHeart replied to Mnicole1981's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
It was due to those, ovarian and uterine cysts, heavy bleeding, and everything else. I never carried to term. I lost 5 pregnancies. It was devastating. I was in perimenopause early and had all those symptoms I listed. I was a mess. You're very young, hon. Maybe a gluten-free diet might correct some things!! -

That's right! Thanks, Lisa. I wonder why it was not updated on Dr. Fasano's site yet? (That's the one I always take the list from). One member (meggielynn) had this one done DGP--and the doctor said it was not useful, but when she went to my doc, he thought otherwise. Deamidated Gliadin Peptide (DGP) Antibodies, IgA: Anti-DGP test is a relatively... -

Eat gluten until the biopsy ---as hard as it is to suffer the symptoms. Let us know what happens. I would tell the doctor your Celiac testing is incomplete. The panel includes: tTG-IgA or tissue transglutaminase-IgA AGA-IgG or Antigliadin IgG AGA-IgA or Antigliadin IGA Total IGA The presence of tTG antibodies is highly suggestive of celiac... -

ARCHIVED High Positive On Igg Elisa Test For Foods I Don't Eat?!
IrishHeart replied to Carebear's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
My opinion? Do not waste your $$$. (1) Your erroneous test results speak volumes, don't they? If the results are supposed to show an intolerance (based on foods that are supposedly triggering antibodies to foods you "flood your system with" and then die down when you remove the offending foods), how does it explain the kidney beans?? (2) There... -

here is a thread from last fall re: Gas-X products. Some may contain wheat, according to the poster. -
((hugs)) Relax. There are many people who give in to the temptation or the urge or the frustration and regret it later, but it's not the end of the world. You're human and the good thing is, it will pass. (literally and figuratively) Drink a lot of water, get back on track and let it go. The fact that your son has been affected by going...

IrishHeart replied to Mnicole1981's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
There is nothing to freak out about. Those test results show you are within normal ranges. So far, so good. The folate level was high, but it is not tanked, so you are not folate deficient, which is common with celiac. What did the doctor say about that? and your Celiac panel was.....??? -
ARCHIVED When Someone Asks, "how Can I Get That [Celiac]?"
IrishHeart replied to Finally-45's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Yep. It's what keeps plastic surgeons in Jaguars and beach front vacation homes. It is a rare one who is "comfy" in her own skin, realizing she is beautiful, just as she is. -

Could be CC from the pizza could be too many carbs could be dairy. Hon, I know you drink this smoothie all the time, but flax is fiber and if you do not get enough WATER in there, you're going to blow up. Add some juice or water to the smoothie and follow it with a glass of pure water. maybe that will help? Lay off dairy... -

I was just coming back on to say something to this effect, Raven...(great minds!) I started perimenopause in my late 30's. I had multiple miscarriages and painful & invasive infertility treatments to no avail. Endometriosis, uterine cysts and fibroids, etc. I had a horrible and prolonged early menopause that I put up with for 9 years, (insomnia,... -
