  1. Three months is just a start to healing, Bonnie! I know how hard it is, but you will feel better in time. I struggled mightily with burning mouth, throat, stomach and awful abdominal pain (the gripping bloaty stuff where you want to cry) the first four months. Sorry to tell you that BUT REMEMBER, EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT and heals at different rates. I thought...
  2. Stay the course, Fran---you're doing great! hope the report is good. I hold you in my thoughts!!

    ARCHIVED #*@($ !#*^% Doctor!

CASS! This is what happened to me for 2 years. I am not saying you are the same as I am, but I just want to tell you...I was put on Synthroid for "hypo" (I was exhausted, losing hair and FAT and puffy. My TSH was 5.3 one day 4.3 the next week....) then, I zoomed to HYPER and jumping out of my skin...my brain buzzing with anxiety and trembling. Heart bursting...

    ARCHIVED #*@($ !#*^% Doctor!

I don't know, Cass....I met some pretty humorless jerkwads the past few years...I don't think they would get it!!
  6. Amen to that, sister!!!!!!!! If I didn't "save my own life" and stop "listening" to doctors....well, I'd be dead.
  7.
  8. hell, ya...I eat it for a guaranteed million too, cass...get back some of the money I spent on medical "help" the last few years sorry about the glutening ....here I was thinking when I am past the 6 month mark, I would try PF Changs because everyone seems to like it so much .... why do you think Lara bars give you grief? just curious...
  9. 'shroom!! (gulp) I'm staying on YOUR good side !!
  10. Totally agree! Good ideas!! And given my experiences the past few years, I can attest to the fact that you can indeed go a long time without food,(ugh) but without hydration...YIKES!!! Ditzy head anyone???
  11. I think that the SA idea is worth investigating but I also think fasting is not necessarily wise for you right now, Jay! I know you told me you did the testing, but I also wonder if you are just having trouble DIGESTING fats. Lamb is not usually a problem food, but it may be too much for you right now. HYDRATE--lots of water. You may be dehydrated--that...
  12. .....and EXACTLY why people like me get so very sick losing 90 lbs. and start to lose muscle mass and hair and cognitive function and suffer nerve damage and on and on and on and cannot get the help that is required. It's criminal. Doctors are hopelessly out of date regarding diagnostic criteria. I found Dr. Green's book informative but I agree.....
  13. groan... hate THAT song Beyond the Sea- Bobby Darin
  14. I am soooo happy to hear you had a good time! I knew you were worried about the flight and with my chronic back, shoulder, neck and pelvic floor pain...I can so relate. Sitting is excruciating, but I, too wish to travel as soon as I can. You are one brave cookie! Thanks for sharing . Right now, I live vicariously through others ...and I could...
  15. I think we posted simultaneously... oops what do we do now??
  16. Awesome!! You do have one smart and gluten-savvy doctor there! GOOD for you!! I saw 3 neuros in 3 years of burning nerve pain and massive muscle mass loss and not one of them looked at all my symptoms and saw celiac. Then again, neither did the GI doc I saw for over 10 years with "IBS"....or my own PC doc with celiac children...until I went back in with...
  17. Rocky Mountain Breakdown--Poco

  20. oh no! sorry, hon....
  21. Actually, the radiation is so low that no protective shields are even necessary for the patient or the x-ray technologist. In fact, the radiation is the same level in the background radiation you receive flying in an airplane from New York to California. That is only 10% of the radiation exposure of a chest x-ray. Actually, I am hoping I won't need...
  22. okay, girlfriend...that seals it....you're in charge of fishing....
  23. um...on a deserted island??
