  2. Apple announced today that it has developed a breast implant that can store and play music. The iTit will cost from $499 to $699, depending on cup and speaker size. This is considered a major social breakthrough, because women are always complaining about men staring at their breasts and not listening to them.
  3. Applauding Jestgar!
  4. Yes, the unbelievable, unbearable discomfort of dh prevents so many of us from getting a dx b/c there's no way we are going to go through aggravating dh in any way, shape or form. DH will certainly cure one of eating gluten! No doubt about it.
  5. Good one IH! Hummmmm.... melikamaui, get a whole bunch of disposable toothbrushes! He can give them to his dates.
  6. They should have done the IgA at the same time. Problem is..... gluten free & it will turn up negative.
  7. I don't know but when mine is active I always wake up either from a nap or overnight with a few new blisters & bites. The longer sleep (nightime) results in more blisters.
  8. I do believe lactose could cause symptoms 6-12 hours later. That may well be your problem. Try laying off of it for the next few days & see what happens.

    ARCHIVED Doctors

Oh my! what a horrible thing to happen to you! Why do doctors always assume we are liars?
  10. I'm sorry. I hate being the bearer of bad tidings. But I also must tell you that the dh can flare even after going gluten-free. The antibodies have to get out of your skin before it lays down for good unless you get glutened. BUT maybe you will be one of the lucky ones whom it just disappears for. I surely hope so!
  11. I hear that Raven & agree wholeheartedly. I am rather jaded myself. $$$$$$$$ talks!
  12. No, I'm going to say they're dh just sitting there sort of "dormant" for the time being.
  13. Oh, and another thing. Lookie, lookie!!!!!! I missed this when it was first posted. But you (WE) will have chances when this becomes widely available. Read the thread. YAY!!!!!!!!!! https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/91988-in-vitro-method-for-diagnosis/ Woooooooooo Hooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Yes. I meant to say that but have been in a time crunch lately.
  15. Yup, looks like dh. Does it itch? How bad? Does it burn or sting? Okay, here's your second chance roxie if the biopsy & repeat blood turn up neg. --- you can have the dh biopsied. BUT you STILL have to KEEP eating gluten until it's ALL done!
  16. Woooooooooooo Hoooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go In Vitro! Thanks beachie!
  17. Why don't you write her a note & ask her if she would see your boys? I bet she would. Explain the situation to her & see what she says.
  18. I get them online --- they may be in stores; you'd just have to check. If you can't have soy then you have to go with the Solgar brand. And YVW!
  19. Well, yes, sort of. When you go through the w/d you get all kinds of weird stuff happening to you. When I went through it, it was like everything I had been experiencing before going gluten-free got more pronounced. But I didn't have much in the way of GI symptoms as I have dh & we often have little to no or much milder GI symptoms. But others say their...
  20. Yes, I don't see any point in doing the biopsy at this time. There is little chance of it turning up positive. The deck is stacked against it. Are you in a major city or near one? I think you need a real celiac expert doc. Few & far between but some are really great & have dx'd people based on things other than blood panel & endoscopy. I've heard...
  21. Yes, 1974, that's what I've read on this board is that you go back for testing to see the levels going down to make sure the subject is a) not eating gluten --- also assures no cc is happening make sure the diet is working so to rule out other maladies being a factor. That's so scary about the other board & the stupid doc saying it was the mom...
