  1. YVW Gluten-Free! And it's cheap too.
  2. Ditto that IH.
  3. No, no, no! don't use any shampoo or conditioner with oatmeal! Many of us won't use ANYTHING topical that contains oatmeal (especially those of us with celiac rash - dh). Oatmeal is grown next to wheat, harvested on the same equip., processed on the same lines --- in other words --- contaminated.
  4. I know Suave are including the conditioners. I just called them (again) not more than 3 weeks ago.
  5. Here come some more (((((HUGS)))))!
  6. We found out we had celiac before we got in the kind of shape that some on this board did --- such as IrishHeart. We do have this place to come to for help & moral support. We can even pitch hissy fits here & it's understood. We don't have a terminal disease. We don't have to take pills for our disease. Eating gluten free is not bad...
  7. And leave it to dear Dani to put it so simply. I would have made a hash of it trying to get all technical & would have ended up tangled in my spurs. Perfect Dani! My hat's off to you!
  8. Hi & welcome to the board! We will be happy to be your mentors now. There's a whole bunch of us! I would never touch anything that states "may contain" or "contain" wheat. Throw them in the trash! Spices in & of themselves are gluten free but when you get into the "mixes" & "blends" you had better watch it. Personally, I stick with McCormick...
  9. Yes, Nora, can you provide the text or link for us please?
  10. I do fine with Suave & don't worry about their source of Vitamin E --- it does not contain gluten. I have not tried the Dove.
  11. Ask any questions anytime Janine. And this is the place for ranting if you need to; also for voicing frustrations. We understand. Been there, done that you know. The best thing you can do is to read as much on this board as you can & ask if you aren't clear on anything. I also will say that most celiacs have to lay off the dairy for a while. Most...
  12. "He didn't think any of it was dh because it wasn't on places dh normally is". Bad statement. He doesn't know anything about dh --- ie: have any experience with dh. By the book; can't think outside the box. To make blanket statement like that is poor medicine. Like my friend husband who went to the ER with classic appendicitis & they said he couldn...
  13. I second what Cara said. I will tell you though that my withdrawal symptoms lasted a month but I had no headaches. Each of us is different & no one can predict or tell you your withdrawal will last x days or x weeks. But I will tell you like Cara said --- it DOES get better & you will be happy! You just have to hang in there & tough it out. Whole...
  14. I read on there that they say the list is not yet complete so I'm figuring they are trying to get things in line with gluten-free. YAY!!!!!!
  15. Googles, the Hershey's site says all the Reese's PB cups are gluten free except the seasonal shaped items. Open Original Shared Link company info. updated march 29,2012
  16. Try this: Open Original Shared Link if that doesn't work --- are you on the phone? Maybe that's the problem.
  17. Thanks ciamarie! I had no idea about the sulfites. Sheesh! It gets harder & harder. How are we supposed to use pain relievers? what can we use?
  18. I'm on their website right now in another tab & it's functioning fine.
  19. Or how about seeing if there is a celiac support group near her? I would just bet someone from the group would be willing to shop for her.
  20. And Frito's.
  21. I'm sorry you're feeling so rotten & can't get any answers. First, you need to get a copy of the blood test results -- an actual copy. Then post them here. It's more than possible that the doc did not do the FULL celiac panel on you. Many of them don't even know what the FULL panel consists of. Furthermore, the blood tests are never false positive...
  22. Here is a list you can print out for Hershey's. Open Original Shared Link ENJOY!
  23. VERY interesting since you're going to be wearing your purple s$#&. Sorry, couldn't resist.
  24. It could very well be b/c of celiac. You may find you can get those foods back after you heal. And you may try them at say 6 mos. & not be able to tolerate them but try again @ 1 year & you will or 2 yrs. We all heal at different rates so it will be a trial & error thing.
