  1. Try gluten free digestive enzymes with your meals. It helps some.
  2. Geez, I always wondered why I always felt fuzzy headed and a little yucky after I ate those. I stopped eating them because of this!! I get that reaction to all the flavors.
  3. I would get your own toaster and collander. I also got new kitchen utensils and pans for me.
  4. I would get your own toaster and collander. I also got new kitchen utensils and pans for me.
  5. Taking a brisk walk in fresh air helps me.
  6. I love Food For Life Brown rice wraps. You need to warm them, then fill, roll up and toast. Yum. Also, there is a new gluten free bread made in Brattleboro,vt. It is called Against the Grain. It is unbelievable. They make bagels, rolls and baguettes. The ingredients are Tapioca Flour, mozzerella, and eggs. My non-gluten free son said it was the best...
  7. I think gluten intolerance can cause liver disfunction. I know that I am chemically sensitive and assume it is because my liver does not detoxify the toxins quickly out of my body.
  8. I go to Boston all the time, but I have avoided breakfast. The one place I know of is Fire and Ice in Harvard Square on Sunday MOrnings. They have a brunch buffet. This is how it works. They have a big grill in the middle of the room to cook everything. If you have gluten issues, they will take your food in the back and cook it in your own pan. The...
  9. I have had low platelets and borderline low white counts for a while. My white count is finally up to normal. My platelets range anywhere from 89,000-130,000. This is called ITP. It is an autoimmune disorder which causes the spleen to attack platelets. As long as they stay above 30,000 you are usually ok. I get mine tested every six months. There are...
  10. Coco pebbles are full of artificial junk and sugar - not good for anyone. Envirokid would be a much better choice, they even have coco pebbles knock off.
  11. If you were going to do dairy, I would recomend raw dairy products. Read up on this online. If you are only lactose intolerant you would be able to digest raw products, because the enzymes have not been killed by pasterization. Raw dairy is much much better for everyone.
  12. I may be wrong but I thought Coco pebbles weren't gluten free anymore. Also, you should stay a way from junk food while you are healing. You should stick to whole foods.
  13. Have you gotten your thyroid peroxidase antibodies checked? These show hashimotos hypothyroidism (autoimmune) and should be under 20. This was the only test that showed up abnormally for me. Very common in celiacs.
  14. what is this thumb pain you are talking about? What is it like?
  15. I eat either Julies Organic Vanilla or Stoneyfield Farms organic vanilla with no problems.
  16. Are you gluten free?? I think your LDL would go down on the diet. I don't know of anything that would drop it, but if I were you I would look for natural ways.
  17. This is for any Vermonters or people from Southern NH or Western Mass. There is a new gluten free bakery opening in Brattleboro Vt. soon. I will e-mail with more details when I have them.
  18. Ditto everything Georgie said. All my tests were normal except the thyroid peroxidase antibodies. You must get these tested. They should be under 20. The TSH range has been changed for about 3 years!! The range .3-3.0. Your doc is clueless. Time for another one I guess. Any doc that can't admit that they are not always right is not one to go to. ...
  19. I also have ITP. My platelets are lower than normal, but not too low. I have to be checked every 6 months. This has not changed at all on the gluten free diet for me. What are her counts??
  20. Have you checked all your toiletries? Did you get new toaster, kitchen utensils, pots and pans? Also a lot of people need to eliminate dairy as well for a while. I would recomend getting a good gluten free digestive enzyme to take with food to help you digest things. It can take a long time to see results and you may have withdrawal in the beginning,...
  21. My son loves the chocolate ones and he is picky and is not gluten free.
  22. Get her thyroid checked. Especially her thyroid peroxidase antibodies. Get the whole panel not just the TSH. Being very thin can make you cold as well. Does she perhaps have a low grade fever going on?? I get these a lot and they make me shiver.
  23. Does anyone know if Columbo soft serve frozen yogurt is gluten free??
  24. Prolonged stress can reak havoc on your body and health. A lot of my health issues started after prolonged stress in my former marriage. Even now, if I get stressed so many symptoms return. It can cause adrenal fatigue/burnout.
  25. How are your B-12 levels. The RDA is way to low. You can not overdose on B12, so try a sublingual version.
