  1. I believe a lot of people do not feel well a lot of the time and are so used to it they don't even realize it. I know so many people with digestive issues and fatigue that are supposedly healthy. I also believe that some of us are like the canary in the coal mine. Also if you are celiac this really destroys your gut and sets you up for many digestive issues...
  2. Sounds like me. I am hypothyroid and am cold below 70 and hot above 80. You need to get your thyroid peroxidase antibodies checked to see if you may have Hashimotos Hypo - its common in celiac and autoimmune. That is what I have. Synthroid is useless. You need to take Armour thyroid or Cytomel. Read up on some of the thyroid threads here and read Georgies...
  3. Actually it takes about 90 minutes for breast milk to digest. Also a mom should nurse at least every 2-3 hours, but many babies nurse more and this is normal. My son nursed every 1 1/2 hours. I work with moms who had babies that nurse every 1/2 to 1 hour as well. The thicker milk can come in within a day or 2, but can be delayed longer than 3 days in...
  4. Yes I was nauseated for a month. You are having withdrawal and detoxing. You should be having 2-3 stools a day - that is good.
  5. You can take a guar gum supplement for fiber. There are lots of fiber powders at natural food stores that are ok.
  6. I would get his thyroid checked. Hypothyroidism is common in celiacs and can cause fatigue. Make sure you get the whole panel including the Thyroid Peroxidase anitbodies - they should be under 20.

  8. If you ever took antibiotic, or steroids even as a child you could have candida overgrowth. Celiac diseasae also makes our guts unhealthy and more likely to allow the candida to grow. Rice did not give you candida overgrowth, but may be feeding it, especially if you are eating white rice. Do you have celiac? I was confused by your last post. I think you...
  9. Stick to natural organic yogurt without sugar if you want to help your gut. I don't know if it has gluten.
  10. What are the main ingredients??
  11. I agree, I would be worried. I ordered the same chicken entree. My meal arrived with a huge breadstick laying on top of the chicken. The waitress said Oh, is that gluten?!!
  12. I had to ask. Before they only ever did the TSH.
  13. I can only speak for natural products. I use Avalon organics lavendar face milk and moisturizer, Tom's of Maine Toothpaste, and Shakai shampoo and conditioner. Giovanni's hair products are all gluten free as well. I use Burt's Bee's lip shimmer's for lipstick and Kiss My Face lip balm. Avalon organics makes a nice hand cream as well.
  14. What reactions do you have??
  15. I suggest you read a lot about candida. Read up on the candida diet. There are extreme and less extreme versions of this. You definitely don't want to be eating lots and lots of starchy stuff. When you eat rice, make it brown rice. There are so many different ways to try and combat this. I am currently using THreelac. Some others on here recomend a...
  16. Natural flavors can mean gluten!
  17. Is Aveda colors gluten free??
  18. I think Soy Delicious is gross! The soy dream vanilla is awesome. Stay away from the strawberry though!
  19. You can by a good coconut flour at Dr. Mercola.com
  20. I toast my rice wraps for 1 minute, then put in the stuff, wrap, and put back in toaster for a couple more minutes. Works fine! I find that some batches are softer than others also!

Where are you? The PF changs in Boston has a dedicated gluten free section in their kitchen!
  22. Interesting, I was thinking canidida as well. But, I had heard that apple cider vinegar was ok for candida? I would stay away from soy if you are following IC diet. You may have candida overgrowth. I was thinking that also, but did not want to overwhelm you. Candida can cause IC and many many other problems. Do you eat a lot of refined carbs or sugars...
  23. Yes those are the right tests. When you get your results let us know what they are. A lot of times the docs say they are normal when they aren't. The TPO should be less than 20 by the way.
  24. You may be one of the few who does actually have to muchacid. Did you try it right before you ate? Sorry it did not work for you. Are you trying the IC diet?
