  1. It is less then 10 minutes. I am getting ready.
  2. I don't think that wheat sprouts is safe, if you do have celiac. But I am one that reacts to barley grass planted in the garden, so I would ask for more information on that.
  3. I got out of the gym. I will plan to be there at both 1 and 3 pm central time. If nobody is there, I will leave after 15 minutes. And yes 1pm Pacific. Diana
  4. I hope if you stay tempted to cheat that your body will give you some loud protests. I mean it is for your own good. I am glad for my body letting me know when I accidentally blow it. I just want to say too that it is understandable to want gluten back. It seems so sudden and final to you, perhaps. Many of us had grief at first. Hopefully you will...
  5. Hi Cambrozi, and welcome! Are you feeling fine besides the problem? My cycle seems to be regulating itself better since avoiding foods I am intolerant to. I didn't have the issue with spotting, but timing and heavy flows were a problem. Diana
  6. Hi Snowflake, Yes, I did withdrawal I dealt mostly with foggy brain almost to dizziness. I had extra bloating and fatigue. Meanwhile it seemed like people expected me to feel better right away. One day when it was particularly bad, I did some aroma therapy. I diffused peppermint essential oil in the room. I felt better. If you don't have a diffuser...
  7. I better just have water and there isn't too much chance of cross contamination? Go ahead and make your favorite cupcakes, though and (Barring discussion about it) I will never have to know! I just got a recipe for cupcakes, I printed it off, and expect that I will be able to use it one day. Lisa, and whoever else is having thoughts about sweet treats...
  8. I keep going in chat and not finding anyone but me to talk to. So, tomorrow at 3 pm central, be there if you can. Subject: Coping with Celiac Disease. Whatever about it. Edited, because I need to take the children to gym at 1, although, if I can I will check at 1 since I made the error. I also can't change the subject. Diana
  9. One more comment: As a mother of 7 I think it is usually more stressful to deal with a child's illness than your own. When they have a headache, I think about the worst headache I ever endured, multiply it by two and consider my child has that! Most things do get less scarey over time. Hang in there.
  10. Yeah, well that is helpful news! I wouldn't say "good" when someone finds they have celiac, but it is very helpful for she and you.
  11. Celiac Ninja: Natural medicine often causes me to be worse instead of better at first. I think it helpful to clean out the body and nourish it carefully. I find supplements an integral part of my program. I am coming from a Creationist standpoint thinking God made food on purpose to care for us. No harm in leaving behind junk foods. Please do...
  12. Sorry, I don't know. Sorry you are going through this. I hope it will resolve nicely and you will get some definitive answers that you can rest on. Diana
  13. I am sorry you have suffered like this. I don't know why you are going through this. I do know that my situation seemed very hopeless. My heart had big problems, I got short of breath easily on occasions, but now I am much better. There is hope and just that you are looking for a solution is a good thing. Gluten certainly does cause bloating and fatigue...
  14. I guess the original post here, the baby has come by now. My Functional Medicine, health care nurse told me that nausea and vomiting in pregnancy is due to low magnesium. Any of us have that?
  15. I am avoiding night shades in hopes that it will aid healing for me. Yes, I have noticed a bloated tummy after potatoes.
  16. I would leave the histamines at the drugstore, but That's me. I left prednisone at the store recently when I had an unknown rash. The rash went away a few days later. I would see if you can figure out which foods do cause a problem. I have had my allergy tests and am glad for them. I hope yours will help you out too. Diana
  17. Trixim, Hi! I am coming from a super-sensitive viewpoint Feeling for you. I know the feeling of the struggle to just feel normal and the body's lack of response. My last 6 years I've spent taking mega doses of supplements, but all the while not knowing about gluten! I can relate to people around not understanding. I also try to act normal/content...
  18. I brought along canned salmon, sardines, and chicken on my last flight. make sure they have a pull tab. Hard boiled eggs in an egg carton were edible to. I also had my own gluten free muffins in meal size packages. It wasn't the easiest 20 hours of flight, but I got there with my own food sustaining me. One thing to mention. Pull out any cans of...
  19. Hi Smith, I just wanted to say that I thought my trigger event was mono 30 years back. It was after mono when the foggy fatigue took over my life. Now, I think I may have gotten mono, because the celiac disease already had me down. At any rate, I hope you will soon have some definitive answers. If you have had blood drawn, in the last 6 months...
  20. Hi Sarah, I can relate to the constant exhaustion and bloating. I used exercise as one of my first attempts to combat the fatigue. I too gave up on doctors since their treatment seemed to make me sick every time. They couldn't seem to help when I "needed" them so why use them when I didn't. I do use an MD now, sometimes, to help with diagnosis, but...
  21. Super=sensitive view: BZBEE After at least 30 years of symptoms and probably more years, I am 11 months gluten free. I recently discovered intolerances to nearly all of the foods I have been eating. I have likely not healed to the max because of those other intolerances. Yet, I do feel better and like I am heading back to wholeness. Just do the best...
  22. Ha, Oh, yeah. Now I guess we better keep our mouths closed, stay inside and shudder! Having lived a few days, I think that was absurd and not likely to reoccur! It reminds me of the time I tried to convince my friend that birds droppings wouldn't land on me... I am okay. I needed to laugh, though. Thanks.
  23. I bloat up after having my teeth cleaned. I wonder if it will change when I have not eaten foods I am intolerant to for 6 months. Bloating is one of my bodies favorite reactions to things which it doesn't like.
  24. I found I gained 9lbs and 9 inches overnight once after eating pizza. I have a problem with cheese and wheat as I found out several times later. Low cortisol can also make one retain fluid according to my functional medicine nurse. My weight has tended to swing by 10 lbs or so over days and weeks. I lost 30 lbs once in a week. I took a supplement...
  25. My blood pressure tends to be high at the beginning of my appointment. At the end of my appointment it use to fall into the normal category. But it always tends to be lower at home. All of my years of being undiagnosed, I really couldn't grasp my symptoms well enough to report them. "I get really tired at times.' just didn't define it well. It is...
