  1. I used to work with the nephew of the Publisher of Martha Stewart Living, and would always bother him to talk to her about asking editorial to do recipes or features on gluten free. He said he did but I don't know if he did. I don't think so.
  2. This has been widely debated. McDonald's fries are gluten free. The fries have been tested and the GIG states they are gluten free (but ofcourse it is each individuals choice whether they are comfortable eating them).

    ARCHIVED Restaurants

What is this place?!!! I recently found out that Yogurteria in Great Neck has gluten free food. I haven't gone yet so I'm not sure if it's just that they sell stuff or can make stuff there. I think it's both. Their website says they have stuff from The Grainless Baker and Everybody Eats.

    ARCHIVED Long Island Doctor?

If you're on Long Island, I would suggest going to Columbia in the city. They have a special celiac center and Dr. Green is one of the leading doctors in the country on celiac research. Open Original Shared Link
  5. Well I also voted for you and bookmarked your website! I knew your intention was to bring awareness to celiac and thought that was great. Are you allowed to let us know if you do win?
  6. I also have the Zo, and just used it for the 1st time last week. I made the Manna from Anna bread. It was so delicious!! I've been having grilled cheese and tomato soup all week long. In fact I just finished another grilled cheese. You could also just eat this bread without toasting if you wanted to make a sandwich like a all those gluten eating people ...
  7. Ok so at this point you went last night, but for future info; last time I went to a Yankee game I got Cracker Jacks and Cotton Candy. Ok not the most nutritious or filling meal, but it got the job done. Oh then after the game I made my friend go over to the McDonald's across the street with me and get fries. Overall it was an extremely healthy evening...
  8. Thanks so much!! LOL!!
  9. I checked it today and OMG just like Stefi said, a gluten free brownie at Starbucks. However it's in the same case as all the other baked goods with all their crumbs. They were sitting on a plate that was higher than everything else but it was still in to close proximity for me to risk trying it. But I decided to call corporate and let them know that...
  10. I'll definately look tomorrow. I have 4 Starbucks within a block of me at work (literally 1 on every corner of each block around my building). I'll report back
  11. Anyone have a brand recommendation?
  12. Sorry, I didn't mean to offend anyone. I meant it more in that it is just an ironic coincidence sort of way that contaminated gluten was the problem. It's not like I was sitting at my computer laughing out loud when I read that. I love animals and just lost my dog this past summer, so I certainly didn't mean it the way you took it. Maybe the moderators...
  13. Open Original Shared Link Ok obviously I feel awful for the animals that died (and their owners), but does anyone else find this slightly amusing that it turned out to definately be the gluten.
  14. LOL!! My old co-workers have started to call me Sally since I was diagnosed with celiac!! We still laugh our butts off about the time my department went to Virgil's for lunch (bbq place in Times Square) and the bbq sauce wasn't gluten free which ruled out most of the menu so I ended up having 2 hotdogs w/out the bun. So I basically had 2 hotdogs rolling around...
  15. She will be selling. Last years vendor fair is where I 1st tried her bagels. It was a love affair at first bite
  16. I keep checking to see if he will post an update. I've been thinking about him too.
  17. Happy belated birthday!!!
  18. Namaste cake mixes are incredible and they do not contain any gluten, wheat, corn, soy, dairy, nuts, casein or potato. I love the chocolate cake mix. www.namastefoods.com
  19. I told you her bagels and english muffins are incredible! I wasn't kidding around when I posted about her last year
  20. Thanks. I had to go on the website and look. I think I'll stick to my tampons for now.
  21. I was accidentally glutened Friday night; to be honest I still can't figure out what it was. I didn't eat breakfast that day, for lunch I got pizza from Risotteria (I can't possibly imagine I got glutened from there) and for dinner we made stir fry at home. DH thinks maybe there was cross contamination in the water chesnuts or bamboo shoots we added; which...
  22. Ok I clearly missed this thread!!! What the heck is the diva cup??!!!
  23. I love risotto with shrimp and asparagus but that may be taking on a bit more than you had in mind, especially for a 2 year old Go on Epicurious.com and type in shrimp... there are tons of recipes.
  24. These are hands down the best gluten free english muffins (and bagels) around. They taste exactly like regular ones. Open Original Shared Link I believe Stonyfield Farms yogurt is gluten free but that was one of the things that wasn't worth the hassle to me so I just stopped eating it.
