  1. Please tell me I am not the only person that will go into a movie theatre just to get popcorn and not actually go to a movie?!!!!
  2. The other day I was craving nachos like crazy, so I got some tostitos, all the stuff to make chili and some cheese and made myself some awesome nachos! Cupakes!!! Right now I am craving namaste chocolate cake mix with Pillsbury vanilla frosting.
  3. Okay that is exactly what I was gonna say.
  4. My new favorite thing to make is risotto. It was something I always wanted to try and make but was kinda scared to because I always heard how hard it was. A couple weeks ago I finally mustered up the courage to try; and was not only impressed at how good it was, but also that 1) hubby actually liked it - he is the pickiest eater ever and I really didn...
  5. I didn't eat the chips because they looked like they had definately been thrown in the fryer. I was going to ask but didn't bother. I actually just had iced tea because I was there for a goodbye work lunch, so it wasn't really appropriate. (Ok that and we were having margaritas in the office at 4:00 for someone's birthday - lol)!
  6. I second Namaste. It's the best!!
  7. I went to Dos Caminos today (the one on 3rd Ave.) for my goodbye lunch today at work. It was very good and the staff was really, really knowlegable about gluten. When we sat down, I told the waitress I was allergic to anything with wheat or flour and she said, "oh is it a gluten allergy?" I said yes and she told me what on the menu I could have and told...
  8. So I'm starting a new job next week (same company but going to another magazine), and I'm praying they don't want to go out to lunch as a welcome thing. Obviously at some point I'm going to have to share the celiac thing (I went there for a few hours today for training and already was refusing Snackwells), but I just don't want to have to go into it in my...
  9. The graham crackers from The Grainless Baker make the most incredible graham cracker crust. Open Original Shared Link
  10. I eat Tostitos or Fritos.
  11. Those are great; I tried them once. Next time you go to Dr. B Well, try the butterfly cookies by The Grainless Baker. They are like linzer cookies, just shaped different. I was buying the Josef's one and the lady at Dr. B Well suggested I try the Grainless baker ones. Awesome suggestion. They are so good. They also have the graham crackers from The Grainless...
  12. WOW!! Thanks for this info. I think you may actually have talked me into ordering some stuff. Garlic cheese bread... mmmmm!!! How are the twinkies? I'm not a huge cookie person, but I wouldn't mind a twinkie.
  13. Ughh, I am so sorry for you. I wish there was something I could say or do to help. I wish i could snap my fingers and they'd be cured. Maybe make sure you always have some carrot sticks, candy bars... anything gluten free around that appeals to you so that when you find you need a snack you have something and won't be tempted to make a rash decision and...
  14. A couple of my family members have had lipo (one more than once). You should know that it is extremely painful, and really a temporary solution unless you keep up with working out to maintain the new look the surgery gave you. One of my family members had lipo on her under arms, and while it looks better than it did, she still has a lot of loose skin...
  15. I am most definately thinking of her today and sending hugs.
  16. I'm so sorry to hear you are not feeling well. When I get glutened I'll sometimes drink some Pepto Bismol. It doesn't help much but I think it's a mental aspect. I find putting a heating pad on my tummy eases some of the pain.
  17. Hehe!! Ursula you are to funny. Pigs in a blanket are those little hot dogs that have dough wrapped around them. They're served as h'ourduerves (sp?) at parties and stuff.
  18. So I decided to see if I would be able to make pigs in blankets for New Years. Well it was a success. I used Chebe frozen breadsticks for the dough. I just let the bread sticks thaw out, then took 2 breads sticks together, smooshed them down a bit, and wrapped around the mini hotdog. Then baked according to the directions on the back of the Chebe package...
  19. I got one too!!! I'm so excited to use it. And I promptly ordered the Anna's Bread mixes. You only need to use the machine for her sandwich breads. The specialty breads like banana and pumpkin can be made in the oven. I made them for Thanksgiving and they were wonderful.
  20. Ok I'm a little late to the party, but I am on my 4th glass of champagne so I've been here in spirit. Happy New Year's to everyone (a bit early for those not on the West Coast).
  21. A very healthy and happy New Year to everyone and your families. Thank you for being there to help me with any questions, struggles, advice or just a good laugh. Although many of us have never met face to face, I consider many of you friends. So thank you for your friendship. xoxo
  22. Wow what a bargain for the cookies! Are they going to fly them to me on a lear jet, and then hand feed them to me while dabbing the corners of my mouth to make sure I enjoy each tiny crumb! I'm not one to complain about prices, but that is just insane.
  23. LOL!! That was to funny! Thanks for the laugh. Wait, you mean every 29 year old doesn't have an internal h. and takes a higher dose of calcium daily than a senior citizen!!! Hehe!! (No but seriously, the recommended dose on the bottle says 2 pills a day and my doctor wants me to take 3). What can you do but laugh, I mean none of it is life threatening...
  24. Wanted to let everyone know, I happened to go to Sam's Club today and they changed how they make the rotisserie chicken. It's now gluten free!!!
  25. I rinse everything off before it goes in the dishwasher. However trying to get my husband to do that, well you'd think I'm asking him to jump off the Empire State Building. We also have 2 scrubby brushes. So if I'm washing a pot that had gluten stuff in it, I use the gluten brush.
