  1. I like the Banana ones. Never had the berry.
  2. Thanks for posting. There is one in a mall by me as well and I never would have thought to try there. Did they have a specific gluten free menu or did they just let you know what they could make for him safely?
  3. Ohhhhhhhhhh; good to know! Now I'm definately buying it. I checked it out, but I figured who the heck is this person and I had no idea if it was good. Now I know it's worth getting
  4. I was supposed to have lunch with my friend from there last week but we had to cancel. We are scheduled for today so I'll have her bring me an issue
  5. I like Annika Jordin. It has a very solid feel to it.
  6. My staples are: - Tinkyada - Chicken Taquitos from Trader Joes - Refried Beans (for the Taquitos) - Kraft Mexican Shredded cheese (again, for the Taquitos) - Frozen Tilapia from Sam's Club - Frozen Chicken (Tysons) from Sam's Club - Rice - gluten-free Bagels from Joan (www.gfgreatbakes.com) - Tuna (wonderful on a toasted sesame gluten-free bagel...
  7. Wow, I am so sorry your daughter is treating you like this. It's hurtful when anyone is so inconsiderate but you would expect her to go out of her way to accomodate you. I kinda 2nd Carla's suggestion, but I know as a mother you probably want to be there; and knowing what a wonderful person you are, you would not be comfortable threatening not to come...
  8. I was watching Ellen the other day, and she had a video of a little girl that had been using her mom's chapstick on the cat's butt!
  9. I already take calcium with magnesium and vitamin D (for osteopenia) and a B complex vitamin for B12 and Folic Acid deficencies, but want to add in a general multi-vitamin. Anyone have recommendations of a brand?
  10. I know Royal Caribbean offers gluten free meals. You just need to email them 45 days prior to your trip. Not sure how old your daughter is, but cruises are great for family vacations. There is something for everyone.
  11. Celebrity is owned by RC so I would assume they are just as accomodating.
  12. Synthroid! I always know when my dosage needs to be changed because I'm extremely tired.
  13. I see that we can put a message under our avatar after 500 messages; but how do I do it?
  14. GORGEOUS!!! I think I might move to Oregon; these are breathtaking. I'm not crazy about the ones with people, but all the others are truly amazing.
  15. Can we add in one for the ladies. Please stop wearing stockings with open toe shoes!!!!! Heck I never wear stockings period unless they are a color to go with the outfit, but I just cringe when I see woman wearing nude stockings with their open toe shoes. I hate this more than VPL.... stop it!! As for the issue of old: I would never consider someone...
  16. I completely agree. And I actually was very nice the entire time, as well as to the customer service person I talked to on the phone. In fact I didn't want to tell her the location I went to because I'm not looking to get anyone fired, just let them know the problem. And I spent a good 20 mins. or so talking to the manager and answering any and all questions...
  17. Y'know I was hoping that is was maybe just the location I went to that was so uneducated about their gluten free menu, but it looks like it's not. It's nice that corporate wanted to jump on the gluten free bandwagon, but then they really need to educate their staff otherwise it does more harm than good (atleast for our intestines). I originally didn...
  18. I had the most horrendous experience at Pizzeria Uno 2 weeks ago. It is the only time I have ever had a problem in a restaurant. Actually let me rephrase that. It wasn't 1 problem, from the moment I walked in the door it was a disaster. I asked 3 different people for a gluten free menu, all who looked at me like I had 6 heads. Ok feeling confident now...
  19. I love their flours and pancake mix. I'm definately gonna give this a try. Thanks!!!
  20. I have lunch with one of my friends who works there next week. I'll ask her about it.
  21. As far as I know the only ones that are not gluten free are Nathan's.
  22. Thanks!! I've actually been craving onion rings lately
  23. I am so sorry you are going through all of this, but you definately seem to know how to help yourself, it's just hard to do that right now. As others have mentioned, there are some gluten free mainstream cereals, the Lara Bars (can find at Whole Foods) are great for a quick snack. A lot of the Progresso soups are gluten free. Maybe keep some apples and peanut...
  24. I was down in West Palm & Miami back in October. I don't remember most of the places I ate but I do remember there is a pizza place in Deerfield Beach that has gluten free pizza. Pizza Fusion 196 N. Federal Highway Deerfield Beach, Florida 33441 United States 954-427-5353
  25. Great point! Did anyone see that article last week about the 95 woman who graduated from college. Certainly proves it's never to late
