  1. Jello is a Kraft product. I have eaten the pudding before without issue. Have the Mom read the label over the phone. If I remember it is less than 10 ingredients and wont take long. Hez
  2. I have always understood that Kraft will list barley, rye, wheat and oats. I use Kraft products all the time. Read the label. I have not had any problems with any of their products. Could you be having other food intolerences? Hez
  3. My family will be going to Disneyland in March. I phoned the reservation line regarding a charcter breakfast reservation. I spoke with her regarding my gluten-free diet. She was very aware of celiac and put me thru to the head chef. Chef Chris phoned me back and listed everything we could have. I suggest you call. Your mind will be quickly put to ease...
  4. Thank you Richard for posting this! I will be traveling to Disneyland in March and was excited to eat french fries. I will not eat them at McDonald's because I am worried about cross contamination (I do not have a high trust level with the workers at mine). However, in Disneyland park they have McDonald stands that only sell the french fries. Nothing...
  5. I know of some people who have reacted to Bob's Red Mill. I have used several of their gluten-free products and not had a problem. Hez
  6. I am so sorry you are not feeling well. I have had several different types of Mi-del cookies without problems. Hez
  7. I use Bob's Red Mill flours all the time and have not had any problems. Hez
  8. My gi doc would like to do a follow up endo. I am on the fence about it. The doc would like to do it to see how much I have healed and what the villi look like (standing tall or blunt looking). I know I must have healed some since I feel so much better. However, it would be interesting to see the difference between the two scopes. Still not sure...
  9. IMHO, I agree with Vincent. It is a shame that it comes down to a lawsuit. I for one will not be joining a lawsuit. I think this hurts the efforts of celiacs with resturants and food manufactuers. I think you get more flys with honey than vinegar. However, I do understand and sympathize with those that are so angry. At the very least someone in corporate...

    ARCHIVED Sushi Dinner

I am sure you already know this but stay away from the imitation crab meat. It has wheat in it. Never have gone to sushi since dx but I know many on here do. Have a good night! Hez
  11. Since we never go out to eat anymore I really do not mind spending the cash on food. I figure it evens out, the money I spend and the money we save being at home. Hez
  12. My understanding is that in the US the Shmirnoff (in beer bottle) Ice are not gluten-free, they are a malt beverage. However, in Canada they are made with vodka and are gluten-free. I drink flavored Bacardi rum. I contacted the company nine months ago (I cannot find the response) and the rum and flavored rums are gluten-free. Hez
  13. There is a bakery and resturant in Denver, CO called Deby's that I think ships out their mixes as well as their baked goods. Open Original Shared Link Hez PS- I ate there once and felt like I had gone to mecca!

    ARCHIVED Ohmygoshoww

I am so sorry you are sick. It is horrible. I have had the waffles and had no problems (I seem to be sensitive). Never eaten the chips. CC can occur, maybe that is the issue. Either way I hope you feel better soon. Hez
  15. Dani- I am sorry I did not see the thread to which you are refering to. My understanding is that Kraft will clearly mark their labels. For example if the pudding just sates modified food starch you know it is derived from something other than gluten (most likely corn). I saw one Kraft label where it had modified food starch then in parenthesis wheat...
  16. I bought a new toaster and new non-stick pans (the old ones were scratched). Other than that I gave everything a good washing and cleaned up the drawers. I am careful about kissing my dh after he eats or drinks beer. I have seperate condiments that are clearly marked to avoid cc from double dipping. I also changed some make up, shampoo and lotion after...
  17. I have learned which companies to trust and which ones to call on. I remember seeing a post that said the Necco company only uses corn not gluten so I know the modidied food starch listed is safe. Hez
  18. For the superbowl I had wings made with Frank's. Sooo goood Hez
  19. I have eaten Planters in the past and not had a problem. However, I do not react to msg but I do to gluten. Hez
  20. I did not feel better until after 6 months on the gluten-free diet. It really does take a long time to heal. It is so worth it once you feel better. Hang in there. You are doing the right thing. Hez
  21. My guess is that the string cheese is gluten-free. Alot, not all, cheeses are gluten-free. Could you be having other issues? I ask this because when I first went gluten-free I could not tolerate dairy. It seems common for alot of celiacs. There is also the possiblilty of an intolerence. Just something to think about. Welcome to the board! Hez
  22. Our local newspaper is owned by Gannett (sp?) and ran a quick blurb about McD's fries having gluten. I was impressed it was in my hooterville paper. Hez
  23. I have not tried oats yet. I am waiting until I have been gluten-free for at least a year. Plus I would like to talk to my gi doc some more about it. I did find this website which I think is interesting. I do not know anyone or have a interest in this company Open Original Shared Link. When and if I do eat oats I will be getting it from this source....
  24. Congrats! What great news Hez
  25. I know McCormick will clearly label gluten so just check. I use Ortega (I always read the label in case they change it). I am too lazy to make my own. I know it is easy. Hez
