  1. Cheetos are gluten-free. Kraft has quite a few dressings that are gluten-free. Kraft is a company that will clearly list any gluten on the label. All you have to do is read.
  2. Ursula--Glad to hear you got it done. It would be nice if you could get an "official diagnosis"--even though you have figured out pretty much everything on your own! Five weeks--wow, that's a long time!
  3. Betty--I know--the shipping is high! I've been talking to the manager of my local health food store in hopes of them carrying it. I printed off the info from the website and included the phone number. I'm becoming a pest
  4. Michael--that looks good! May have to try it--thanks
  5. I use Smart Balance (regular) and it is marked gluten-free right on the container. Up at the top, just under the lid.
  6. I have also become intolerant to bananas. They were always my go-to food when my stomach was acting up. Since I've been gluten-free, the other intolerances have cropped up and bananas right along with them!
  7. Amanda--so happy to hear you and your boyfriend had a nice evening!
  8. I get mine at Wegmans (a large grocery store). They have a big, impressive natural care section. My local health food store carries it, too--although they don't have a lot of variety. Some of their products do contain gluten, most do not. Their customer service is very good, I've found. Open Original Shared Link

    ARCHIVED Hi

Hi Lani--Welcome to the board! As everyone said, reactions vary from person to person. You will become familiar with what is "the usual" for you. I always get symptoms after 2 hours. That I can count on. The actual reaction will last from 5 days to 2 weeks--there does not seem to be any rhyme or reason to that. I have not found anything that really...
  10. I have recently started using Zia Moisturizing Cleanser for my face. It is gentle--no harsh detergents--and leaves my face clean, not tight, and no redness/painful areas. I have a difficult time finding cleansers for my face, and I am really liking this one. Thought I'd share!
  11. I agree with everyone above! I would use your energy to go 100% gluten-free. Come here anytime you have questions about how to de-glutenize your life!
  12. Thanks for putting things into perspective. My prayers are with your friend
  13. Many times the reason something falls after baking is either the baking powder was too old, or (and in your case, I seriously doubt it) the batter was not baked long enough. I don't think the choice of milk would make a difference. I've substituted water for milk in a pinch, and it didn't affect the rising (it did affect the texture a little, though)
  14. Hi Jen--I have that recipe! Now, I need to get an ice cream maker--have never owned one!!! I'm looking forward to trying it, though. Need to reorder Vances--have you tried it yet?
  15. I don't blame you at all--better safe than sorry
  16. The ingredients look fine. Given the info you have, I would eat them--but if you're uncomfortable, you might want to wait until tomorrow and call them.

Here ya go-- Open Original Shared Link Enjoy!!
  18. Darn! Well, hope you get over that itching soon--sounds like no fun at all
  19. Betty --So it's good? I've never had it, but have thought about trying it. I do like Sharon's Sorbet. It has cane sugar instead of corn syrup. But you can't put chocolate topping on it..... Are you feeling any better? Been worried about you!
  20. Hi Susan--You can't ask much more from a chicken than that! I'm impressed
  21. I second the Enjoy Life Snickerdoodles! Also their Gingerbread Spice Cookies--yum
  22. Nini--can you take Claritan? When I get itchy with a reaction, I take one a day until I'm over it. It causes me no side effects.
  23. Hi K--Most brands of oats that you find at the grocery store are contaminated. Eating oats is a personal decision--I don't chance it. Beer (regular) has gluten and even if you don't *feel* a reaction, there is damage occuring. Not all Celiacs get GI issues. The fact that your dh is flaring up means that you are ingesting gluten. The problem with shampoos...
  24. Molly--That is truly an amazing story! We tend to think in terms of adults who have been sick for years as the ones having the most damage and additional health problems. Your experience proves that even for the very young, early diagnosis and the gluten-free diet are so very important. So glad your mom stuck to her guns years ago! I know that your story...
