I've heard that it could be chlorine reacting with the iodine; I have noticed a distinct chlorine smell to the tap water lately (maybe they are adding more chlorine to the water due to the spring run-off of melting snow and ice).   3. Could be... I'll keep digging on this. I've used several boxes of this salt and never had this happen before..until I sifted out those square crystals. I'm guessing I sifted out something that keeps the iodine from reacting with other things. I'm sure it is normal...just thought I'd check and see what's up!

  5. Clean the inside of the oven thoroughly. If it is self-cleaning...then put it through a self-cleaning cycle on the highest temperature (some ovens have a quick mode and a long mode...go for the long one). If the oven isn't self-cleaning, then get some oven cleaner and clean the oven at least twice...making sure to get up and around the oven light cover...

Hi, I bought my own countertop grain milling machine and now I make my own polenta, rice flour, bean flours, etc. For polenta I just put popcorn kernels through the machine and grind it at a course setting (I actually like to use Orville Redenbacher popcorn...but any popcorn will do). I don't live in the US...so I am not sure where you can buy these things...

  25. Can you tolerate corn? If you can, then maybe try making homemade popcorn, drizzled with olive oil and some salt. And eat a few handfuls a few times a day to bulk out your diet. It'll give your digestive system something to chew on and to digest. Hope that helps!
