  1. You can take fruit as long as you're planning on eating on the plane though, right?
  2. I've always been confused about the whey thing too. I always thought it was just another protein until I heard it was actually a waste by-product. Who knows.... Open Original Shared Link
  3. I honestly don't think the rules regarding food are very clearly defined. I could be wrong, but it really seems to depend on which airport you're flying out of and who is inspecting your luggage. I always order the raw vegetarian meal so I'll at least have fresh fruits and veggies with whatever else I bring on the plane to eat (I can't believe they took...
  4. I've never tried the vanilla berry but the chocolate mint confection flavor is soooooooooooooo good
  5. random drive-by: I think I've posted this before, but while we're on the subject of words, "pumpernickle" is a great one ....from What in the Word? by Charles Harrington Elster
  6. Fish oil, leaky gut treatment and an elimination diet can only help. You've already seen that a "normal diet" is hurting your son.... Even if the IGG is unreliable, an elimination diet might help you pinpoint the problem foods.
  7. I don't eat beef, so I don't know how I know this, but Applegate Farms and Wellshire both make nitrate-free, gluten-free hot dogs as well.
  8. Okay I see it. It doesn't say anything about 100%, but it might be worth it to you to try eating small amounts of oats. I eat Gifts of Nature oats. A lot of people do well with McCanns.
  9. I guess I could actually go read the study, but I can't seem to find it at the moment.. What brand of oats did they use in the study?
  10. I can't say whether or not this is good but might be worth trying: Coconut Flour Chocolate Cake Ingredients:
  11. Happy Birthday!
  12. I'd recommend gradually switching to a more organic, all-natural diet. When you do so, you shouldn't think of it as a deprivation...but rather a way of adding more nutrients and real (awesome tasting) food to your life. Good luck
  13. I like Burt's Bees lip sheers. (It's on the company's gluten-free list) Kiss My Face and Jason make lip glosses as well (can be found at Whole Foods). Jason will clearly list any gluten ingredients. I have not verified the gluten-free status of Kiss My Face...might be worth looking into though.
  14. She said she decided to check the ingredients in her soy milk after learning Rice Dream contained barley. Makes sense to me... Anyway, I wanted to recommend hemp milk. Living Harvest Vanilla hemp milk is good on cereal. It's much thicker and creamier than rice, soy and almond milks.
  15. No one claimed that it was
  16. I have one from Badger Balm that works really well. I'm hyper sensitive to chemicals/fragrances etc. but this one didn't bother me at all in that sense, and the bugs went away too Here are the ingredients: Active Ingredients: Citronella Oil (5.0%), Cedar Oil (2.0%), Lemongrass Oil (2.0%), Rosemary Oil (1.0%), & Geranium Oil (1.0%). Other...
  17. I eat certified gluten-free oats in moderation. They don't give me any problems.
  18. I don't know, sorry. I'm casein intolerant - hopefully someone else will chime in and let you know.
  19. Just a suggestion... You can start by cutting out the soy milk and replacing it with rice milk. Might help, might not...just an idea. You can also check the ingredients of the bolded items for things that might bother you, and maybe you'll see a pattern or an ingredient to question (it is also important to note that all Kraft products contain msg...
  20. When I read Bev's post I thought pipcs must be some sort of flower or something
  21. I've read that conventional pasta is the most pesticide filled food, so probably. You can google "organic dirty dozen" to see various lists of the most toxic fruits and veggies.
  22. Giovanni shampoos and conditioners are really good. Aubrey Organics shampoo is pretty good (the conditioner is not gluten-free). You might also want to try California Baby. I like Kiss My Face olive oil soap (it has about 3 ingredients) Coconut oil is my favorite body lotion I would be surprised if Dr. Bronner's soap contains gluten, but I'm...
  23. I'm thinking along the lines of raw vegan food. I don't know if that appeals to you at all, but they have all sorts of snack bars, crackers, chips etc. that are generally free of the ingredients you mentioned. Rice crackers might be an option as well. Maybe you could also make crackers out of Chebe bread mix (tapioca).
  24. Sometimes Chebe turns out great and sometimes it's just okay. When it's done right, it's amazing. The only problem is I don't know how I can bake the same product the same way so many times....only to end up with such varying results in terms of chewyness, flavor etc. It's a mystery. Worth trying though.
  25. I don't take anything everyday, but here are things I find helpful and energizing: Bach Rescue Remedy (relieves stress - it's amazing) Vitamin B supplements Omega-3 Fish oil supplements Chlorella Organic fruits and veggies put through a juicer Coconut oil or fresh young coconut water
