  1. I have not done hypnosis for gi issues. After my diagnosis my Dr who knew I was more open to alternative treatments having used them in the past, said in an aside/passing/ casually mentioned I may find acupuncture helpful. I began to see an acupuncturist. I had never tried acupuncture before. I saw my acupuncturist regularly for 2-3 years. I now see her as...
  2. After my gluten challenge cow's milk caused heart palpitations for me.
  3. Your welcome. I can't find Ennis online supplement company link. I'll try to contact him.
  4. Most have additives. I would consider calling the current company you use/are happy with and ask if they have another suggestion. Perhaps explain you seek one that is gluten free and free of corn maltodextrin . I know Ennis on our forums uses an online vitamin company I forgot which one. When I first joined the forum he was really helpful for product ideas...
  5. I would encourage you to call to I inquire if this Dr has an interest in DH. Reason being some of us had decades of misdiagnosis. I was misdiagnosed in my early 20s with another gi disease based on symptoms only. In my 30s I was having terrible symptoms and concerns my thyroid, metabolics, skin, and immune system was malfunctioning. I went to see my ob/gyn...
  6. My gluten challenge was 2 weeks with endoscope and colonscopy. Did they offer that option. I have read the 12 week challenge is what is best to yield positive bloodwork or positive DH result. In the end I was diagnosed NCGS , my rash did not appear during my challenge possibly as I was on both H1 and H2 antihistamines ,had been eating gluten-free...
  7. I went gluten free the first time and felt great after 2 weeks. I saw myself improve on many levels. We had a shared household back then, but I did my own toaster separate cabinets etc. 3 years later I got badly glutened got very ill and went for testing. My testing went on for months trying to get in team of Dr s etc. I attempted a 2 week gluten challenge...
  8. I found their posts helpful.
  9. I had muscle/myalgia and joint pain when I became intolerant to some nightshades after my challenge. My back muscle pain/ myalgia pain is my earliest symptom of my immune system reacting to small amounts of what ticks it off. When the brilliant immunologist who finally correctly diagnosed me with gluten intolerance was testing me for IgE allergies...
  10. I was misdiagnosed IBS by symptoms only for 20 plus years until a team diagnosed me gluten intolerance. celiac/NCGS have many symptoms some of which are similar to what you describe.
  11. I usual get a rash eruption, muscle aches, and nerve pain. I can get other issues as well. I think we vary in our symptoms. My first to trigger symptom tends to be my skin now. My skin manifestation actually starts out with itching beneath my skin before my skin begins to burn, turn red, then throws up a DH blister. My muscle,gi issues, and nerves start shortly...
  12. In college one of my roommates adored Jack Daniels. I did occasionally drink it back then. I don't recall getting symptoms from it. When I no longer lived with her I was off whiskey entirely. Years later and before diagnosis I found I just can't drink whiskey. Not from a gi issue gluten issue to my knowledge. I just can't do whiskey or gin. I don't feel...
  13. Not sure if you have read this info, but in case your interested here is a link of why I think as I do (supplements fall under food regulation FDA) "Are statements like “made with no gluten-containing ingredients” or similarly “not made with gluten-containing ingredients” permitted on labels of foods bearing a gluten-free claim? Yes. Neithe...
  14. No, I have never taken it. If the manufacturer is stating they do not test the finished product for gluten being below the 20 ppm standard. I would not personally be comfortable taking it. While I do believe most manufacturer s follow proper best protocols in quality control and quality assurance not adding gluten to the product, dismantling/cleaning the...
  15. All the feelings are normal and expected. Searching for answers and asking why also is valid. I'm not saying the PPI may not be contributing to the issues of gi illness. One can't negate the genetic predisposition and potential multifactorial issues that contribute to celiac. There are other pharmaceutical drugs that potentially mess up the gi tract...
  16. Sounds like you are well equipped with the natural inclination to "to with your gut" it will continue to serve you well. In time I did obtain the gluten-free flours and make my own baked goods. I was never a baker in hindsight I know why,the airborne flour made me all foggy and error prone. Lots of things get answered for us once diagnosed.
  17. Hello and welcome to the forums. Celiac/NCGS has a long list of symptoms incliding some of the ones you listed. I wish you luck on you diagnosis path and healing journey once properly diagnosed. A celiac test in my opinion is good to have, glad your GP thought you should be tested. Many of us also besides the blood draw had endoscopy as well. Sometimes Celiac...
  18. Do you belong to a support group for your condition? While we are a gi support group for Celiac/NCGS as cycling lady stated our diet is gluten free. I am sorry our forum would not be able to recommend a diet for you. Contacting your Dr may help you find the best foods to start with, or perhaps he or she can refer you to a nutritionist if you ask. Perhaps...
  19. Did you contact Dr back with this info? Some people can vomit or spit up yellow or greenish yellow. I am not a Dr ( so you should contact one) . I have a science degree . In the human body bile can be green , greenish yellow, or yellow and is something your Dr can further investigate. Good luck
  20. I also support Admin's thoughts. I know food intolerances can cause in pain my stomach and gi tract as well. Welcome to the forum and best wishes.
  21. I was not checked for vitamin/ mineral deficiency after diagnosis that I know of. I had been diagnosed vitamin D deficient 8 years prior to my gluten intolerance diagnosis. I am in the Midwest so unlike you CA girls. I get some cold dark days here come winter time. I often have a vitamin D supplement in the cupboard. I was sent to a nutritionist. She...
  22. I had 13 intolerances after my gluten challenge. Gluten, corn, and cow milk/products are still enemies to my immune system. It locks and loads and says No! Cycling ladies suggestion to rotate helps. I did a food elimination diet to check for intolerances and a food diary initially. I kept foods to below 5 ingrediants. Just a thought somethings...
  23. Yes my congestion gets worse with gluten as well. Gluten opens up a terrible portal to all kinds of awful for me. Allergy pills alone were not enough more than one Dr suggested netti pot for me. Also I get really bad esophageal stomach inflammation that looks like acid reflux, but is due to my gluten intolerance. At times in life I vomited very easily...
  24. I didn't finish my 2 week challenge. I technically am NCGS in my records, but DH comes back every misfortunate cc . My cousin is a gold standard celiac. So clearly I'm on the spectrum. I suspect I'm a DH. Just a few lowlights of my challenge: I had to pull my car over many times during my challenge as I was nauseous and ready to vomit. My boss...
