  1. I will 2nd 2Boys4Me's sugar cookie recipe! They make great cut-out cookies too!! Another tip I will add that I just found out about.. roll the dough out on parchment paper and cut the cookies. Pop them in the freezer for 15 minutes and take out. The shapes can be popped out easily and when you re-roll the dough, you don't need any additional flour...

  4. Michelle ~ the name of the cookbook is Incredible Edible Gluten-Free Food for Kids by Sheri L. Sanderson. The sugar cookie recipe is awesome! Linda ~ yep, that's the recipe ~ sorghum bread by Twin Valley Mills and Bette Hagman. I think I gave you all my tips about rising it in the pans in the oven too. Like I said, it took me a bit to get it to...
  5. Happy gluten-free Anniversary Day for Ty! I think it's great that you remember and can look back on where you are now. Congratulations for making it to the 1 year milestone!! What recipe do you use for the graham crackers? I would like to attempt those sometime soon. If it is in Incredible, Edible, then I have that book. I just made rolled sugar...
  6. ROFLMBO @ the names! I looked at the flour@ Amazon and choked on my cofee with the price! I am going to try it with my beloved sorghum flour and see how that comes out first.
  7. For the Analise Roberts fans out there, what brands of brown rice flour do you get? Where do you get it? All I have seen around here is BRM.
  8. YW Ladies! I think that pound cake looks awesome too!! And, no butter here either... we're dairy-free. We've been trialling rice and she seems ok with it once/week at this point. So, I may get to try some rice flour after all!!
  9. Hey everyone ~ Open Original Shared Link While browsing another site, I found out that Land O Lakes has a recipe section w/Gluten Free recipes on it. Thought I'd share it here.

  15. I would send in her snack every day and make sure that they have a good policy in place for cleaning the snack tables, hands etc. Depending on how sensitive she is, I would ask for a letter to go home to the parents about the allergies. Some people *will* get it, others won't. But that, at least, gives them a heads-up.

I don't have copies of what is in my dd's files, but I'm sure it's filled with "mother claims xyz. My dd has not been officially diagnosed w/celiac disease either but is doing so much better since going gluten-free. I really related to Karen's post about...
  20. Try it Jen!! Liz ~ well the rest of us liked it ALOT, but she wasn't as excited about it. She ate it, but didn't seem thrilled. Might have been her mood though. Try them!! They weren't very *pretty* since I was in a rush to do them though. I will make them again though!
  21. That's what I do for Carleigh and birthday parties or family invitations. I find out what's being served and try to send her the safe equivalent. He needs to start learning now that his food will be different from everyone else's sometimes.
  22. Amen to Judy's prayer! I am also hugging and loving on my children a little tighter these days as I think about all that sweet Megan is going through. I have been sharing about her with my kids too and they pray for her too.

I don't think that they could ever accomodate me because of the multiple FAs, but I will email them, too, and be interested in the gluten-free cooking so that others could have this option
