Vitamin defiency (B12) may be a cause of premature greying. Your diagnoses and healing may have saved you from premature greying. Do you have any idea of when your family members went grey? (if ever). -

Do you have a hard copy of the pathology report from the biopsies? I do know of something that "fits" for the description here.Eosinphilic gastroentestinal disorder. Gluten can "trigger" the immune system to attack with white blood cells (eosinophils). The eosinophils are usually reserved for fighting a parasitic infection and have a spear like shaft... -

Gluten eaters usually ask for the recipe. I have been experimenting with adding almond paste for more flavor. Has added that much flavor, but it didn`t change the consistancy. -

I agree with 1974 girl. You have to draw the line on how much scoping you are going to do. My daughter was scoped during the elimination diet. (everything was clear and normal) That's when we started challenging possible allergens and based on her reactions identified her triggers. She was scoped again when she had seasonal airborne issues. (it... -

I thought that article was written in a "goobly-gook" manner. I now that adult cases and child cases are diagnosed on a different count of eosinophils. It seems the standard care for a child at diagnoses... Prevacid modified Flovent inhaler(so the liquid is swallowed not inhaled) allergy testing an elimination diet (eliminate all top 8 allergens... -
ARCHIVED Is There A Board Or A Thread For Moms Of Special Needs Kids?
mommida replied to megsybeth's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
Parents of Celiacs really notice a change after going gluten free. Little ones with delays and failure to thrive have snapped back quickly and have a rapid growth on a gluten free diet. Topics get started on specific issues and adult Celiacs even chime in from their own childhood experiences with these difficulties. -

I'm going to give you my "gut" feeling on the medication issue. I don't know the medications and in what combination you were given. I think the medication combo is making you MORE vitamin and mineral deficient. i.e. your body's iron/calcium bonding to the medication in your system. Like the warning on your thyroid medication about avoiding calcium for... -

At this point because you are still eating gluten, get the Celaic panel. Then you will know if you have to avoid gluten or just wheat. -

Yes, my daughter was diagnosed when she was 6. That added to her probable Celiac diagnoses when she was 17 months old. She is now 10 too! There are EoE peeps here on the forum. Some are here because gluten is one of their triggers. There is a known connection between EoE and Celiac. (JAMA Nov. 2011) I don't want to burst your bubble, but allergy... -

ARCHIVED Girlfriend Making Me Sick And Dont Know Why
mommida replied to deals88's topic in Super Sensitive People
When I was younger my hair was down to my waist. So longer hair would come into contact with underarm deodorant. If some one doesn't wear deodorant, it seems to me that the odor is all over their clothes. YUCK! -
ARCHIVED Girlfriend Making Me Sick And Dont Know Why
mommida replied to deals88's topic in Super Sensitive People
I missed reading the brand and scent of underarm deodorant/antipersperant. I was glutening myself from Ban Sweet Surrender, which had barley in it. That would be rubbing all over shirts and possibly long hair. I honestly didn't believe it could make me sick, but when I switched to a safe product I wasn't getting sick. -

My midwestern roots are showing. I would go talk to the manager and makes sure the workers look you in the eye. That is how I would make my decision. I do have a weakness for pizza! I would get the pizza and take it home. That way, if I get sick I am already home. (I would try and make sure the schedule was clear for the next morning too) The... -

How many rounds of medication has he been on for the H. Ploryi? It might be helpful to take probiotics for getting his gut to a healthier "balance" It is time to get tested for Celiac. mommida replied to tom's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Tom, The medical community statements on the amount of time to heal are just GUESSES. The truth is every individual is different. could you go back to your food journal chart and see if there is any evidence of a 12 day damage cycle and healing for the allergens you removed? If there appears to be a 12 day reaction that could be eosinophils causing some havok and causing the reflux symptoms. -
