  1. That seems to be the right price for a gluten free pizza. (about 4 times as much as a 'normal' one) How much government is too much government? If they are going to allow gluten free foods, are they entiled to say "you can never have pizza?"
  2. I can not eat spinach any more. I can not eat any higher iron type foods. I.e. raisins
  3. ian's all natural allergen free foods used to have meals, now they just do mostly entrees. Go to the allergen specifications page and it will match the products you can have. There is a chicken nugget meal.
  4. They must have gone under with the economy. I was hoping they had merged into another company? if I get a chance I'll keep looking for other options.
  5. Nope. I didn't eat before going out of the house. When my day was done, then i would eat and have debilatating "D" all night long. O h I survived out of the house for a full day by drinking mountain dew and smoking cigarettes to fight off the hunger.
  6. over abundance of vitamin B12 (vitamin water) can cause "D". What food dye was used in the gator aid? Food dyes cause me grief more times than I care to remember. (both red and blue even if they are gluten free) keep a food journal to see if there is a link to a certain ingredient or if it is a cross-contamination issue.
  7. I haven't seen these around lately. "because your special" gluten free, kosher, and shelf stable microwave meals
  8. Oh crap! no wonder so many people completely flip out when they are first diagnosed . (Myself included)
  9. For the record, when my daughter was diagnosed when she was 16-17 months old, she was really mad. It is a process. Talk it out. These are her true feelings, and who can say she is not justified? list of gluten intolerant or Celiac Vollmer, American female swimmer ~Gold medal london 2012 Jack Black Emily Rossum miley Cyrus keith olberman...
  10. AWESOME! Thanks for the info.
  11. Yes this is hard, and i'm praying for you and your family. Diagnoses and lifestyle change causes a grieving period. you don't really have time to acknowledge that because you are racking your brain trying to find something safe to eat. There is also a very good chance that you are experiencing gluten withdrawal. Not fun, but it is REAL. It can...
  12. Please remember, you don't always have to use bread. just roll lunchmeat and cheese together. use romaine lettuce for wraps. one of my favorite lunches is a loaded baked potato. Some invest in a Bento box for layering and keeping foods warm. If you do find a particular gluten free food item you love, there is ordering by the case from Amazon (just...
  13. Happy birthday Ravenwood! Whatcha reading?
  14. Happy Birthday Scott! You are so lucky you can't hear me sing Happy Birthday to you!
  15. My daughter was too ill for the endoscopy. Her Celiac blood panel was postitive. Hospitalized for dehydration and no scope was done. Positive for 2 Celiac genes. Started a gluten free diet at 17 months old. She was doing great on a gluten free diet until she was 6 years old. She started having symptoms as if she was glutened. She began to vomit up...
  16. PUBERTY  OMG!!! The hormones are raging, but they are acting like pre-schoolers!
  17. Thank you. just like Darn alluded to , my kids on the other hand just aren't getting along right now.
  18. Mystery diagnoses Going through doctors trying to get a full proper diagnoses is very hard. Some doctors don't even *believe* or understand DH, Celiac,or gluten intolerance. It seems to me many here have gone through a long frustrating experience to get diagnosed. Life changing social circumstances trying to stay on a gluten free diet. (family arguements...
  19. A potassium defiency can be extremely dangerous. potassium is one of the body's regulators. your heartbeat and fluid levels are crucial. Check with the pharmicist and see if the cocktail of antibiotics can give an estimation of the amount of potassium you are lacking. ( you might find out you need to find a banana the size of a Cadillac! ) please...
  20. I wonder if this is when Pernicious anemia is part of the equation. The gut lining lacks the proper enzymes to absorb vitamin B12. So the condition doesn't fully resolve no matter how much B12 or Bcomplex you take(B complex vitamin can be toxic if you take too much.) I have had geographic tongue since I was in high school. (41 now) There is not a definative...
  21. [quote name='Darn210' timestamp='1343041996' post='812945' After all the testing is done, there is no reason to keep her on gluten, if you want to try gluten free. A gluten free diet will only mess up Celiac testing and not any other testing that you do if you want to follow-up with any other doctor (say the endocrinologist as mentioned above).
  22. Like Mitzi said I think it's pretty clear gluten is causing your problems here, but further testing can eliminate other causes too. H. Ployri, SIBO, and the list goes on.
  23. EoE is a tricky diagnoses. There is more evidence of a seasonal "flare", strongly suggesting AIRBORN reactions. The eosinophils are deeply embedded in "normal" looking tissue. Eosinophils are active (damaging normal healthy tissue) for 12 DAYS. That means people are trying to track what is making them feel so ill and it started nearly 2 weeks ago! I...
  24. Are you sure you had the full Celiac panel? When you tried the gluten free diet and felt better, that is actually scientific data. The doctor wants to call it placebo effect. Did you have any accidents? Did you pop something in your mouth that just seemed like it just couldn't have wheat in it, and felt ill after? You have a personal choice to make...
  25. Sorry I ran out of time to really finish that post. EgD (eosinophilic digestive disorders) are just an example of other issues that exist along with Celiac. (diagnoses have been going up recently). Since they have been describing sensations of stool moving through them, it may be time for a colonoscopy. I don't have the most recent numbers for Crohn's...
