    It doesn't have to be Cowboy; it can be any brand of natural or lump charcoal. Much, much better than Kingsford. Whole Foods has a brand, Walmart usually carries some this time of the year, hardware stores... richard

    Based on their answer, it would appear to me that the only gluten threat is the possiblity that the grain alcohol MIGHT come from wheat. However, if distilling alcohol removes any gluten threat, there would be no gluten in the alcohol.     Unless it's CC it should be gluten-free. Caramel color in the U.S. (and probably elsehwere) is safe. richard

    You can relax on the turkey. The only turkey I've ever seen that had gluten was prestuffed. If a raw turkey has gluten, it must be clearly listed. Fresh turkeys generally do taste better, but frozen ones are OK pretty much without exception. richard

    Strandard expert advice is for ALL first-degree relatives to be tested. The 1-year-old is still a little young. In my family, my kids, siblings and parents all got tested. My father was positive even with virtually no symptoms. richard

    Of course I don't have anything other than what you got from the company, but I'd personally be willing to wager large amounts of cash that this is a CYA statement and that the pods are perfectly gluten-free. richard

    The vast majority of liquors are gluten-free because of distillation, even ones that are wheat and rye based. The only danger is if they add gluten after distilling. I haven't found any liquors that do. Last I heard Dekuyper was gluten-free but that's been a while back. Avoid beer and any malted drink. richard

    You can make 100 percent sure if you want by calling the Kroger 800 number, but I'm absolutely sure the sour cream is gluten-free. I don't use pre-shredded cheese but as you can see they use potato starch and cellulose to keep it from clumping.     One instance of eating gluten does not necessarily cause damage that takes 6 months to a year to fix. If you have research that shows otherwise please tell me where I can read it. richard

    Personally, I hope to take culinary classes, but I'm not sure how you could become a chef and restaurant owner when you can't even put gluten or soy in your mouth. richard

    But have you been tested for DH? Most people with celiac DON'T have DH. In addition, steroids have no effect on DH. richard

    Progresso clearly lists gluten if it's in the soup. richard

    The eye drops are almost certainly gluten-free. And unless the drops are running into your mouth it wouldn't matter anyway. richard

    This may be of no help, but if the gluten-free diet and dapsone aren't helping, it sounds like you've got something other than DH. richard
