  2. Well of course you should spend the day studying!! Or maybe bake some gluten-free cookies and lounge around feeling pleased with yourself for getting a free day off!
  3. Yuuummmm Dusty nuggets with a toilet paper chaser!!!
  4. Yours was very well said too, electra. I meant to tell you that and I'm sorry I didn't take the time. I though it was a very insightful statement especially coming from someone who always seems to approach things lightly. Just another example of people being much more complex than what they type on the screen.
  5. Hi missy'smom! I'm glad you didn't wait for a formal introduction before trying out the forum. Welcome to the group!
  6. I've been craving Guhlia's waffles
  7. I think it partly depends on which part(s) of your intestine are damaged and where the pill is absorbed. I'm curious about how taking the pill will make a difference for you. Is you doc trying to induce a "normal" state in your body?
  8. Well informed staff. I also like the idea of having the ingredients of every dish available for the asking. (Not just for gluten, but other allergies, nasty chemicals, personal boycotts of food because of company practices, etc.)
  9. At least it's only two days, not two months.
  10. jacey, how soon is your test? If it's only a couple days away you should be fine.
  11. I've heard that iodine can cause a reaction if you put it on her skin. If you decide to try that I'd start with a very very small section. Like the tip of a q-tip. Just in case you get a big reaction.
  12. I think CarlaB knows quite a bit about "natural" methods. You could try asking her.
  13. Wow, painful story. I'm sorry that you had to go through all that to get here, but happy to hear that you're already starting to feel better. I think you'll a lot of people on this forum who don't feel the need for an official diagnosis, and respect the fact that you are taking charge of your health. Welcome!
  14. Actually after I posted that I kinda looked and realized that most people had removed them already. The titles were kind of cute, but I remember at least one topic asking what "Rachelville" was. I guess you could just change them to "self proclaimed". Mine would be: Self proclaimed newest Spice girl - B!#@h Spice
  15. excerpts from "The American Journal of Managed Care" December 2006 Worldwide, cervical cancer is second only to breast cancer as the leading cause of cancer-related mortality in women. Cervical cancer represents the eleventh most frequent cancer in the United States and was responsible for more than 3500 deaths in the United States in 2005; more than...
  16. I'm pretty sure I just asked if any else had concrete information. I think Andrea and I are just posting different viewpoints. I know that I don't know the facts, and I appreciate that she and others take the time to present opposing viewpoints.
  17. Yes, I kind of read through this the first time you posted it and I have to say I'm not really sure where I stand on the vaccine. I think that some of the arguments aren't valid with regard to Gardasil, because they question the use of aluminum in the placebo, which is a different concern. (Yes, I know it's in the vaccine as well, but they don't give...
  18. This is what I heard as well. The FDA site doesn't say anything about making anything worse so I'm not sure if this is speculation or if they feel it is a real risk.
  19. Here's the FDA site. Open Original Shared Link
  20. Hey!!! Umm, our snow is slipperyer Yea! Thats it!
  21. Your husband prefers to have his nuts in a can??
  22. I actually heard that the opposite was true. Has anyone seen studies or a legitimate source about this?
  23. I think there are a lot of people who post on this board with really dumb ideas or really stupid things they are planning to do, but come on. How many of us, before a diagnosis, would have thought cutting out a major food group would be a good idea? People come up with the most ridiculous ways to treat their ailments, but if they work, what's the problem...
  24. Hi Lonewolf, I don't remember where you are, but in Seattle the roads are really really slick, as are the sidewalks.
  25. How could you NOT know who Johnny Rivers is!?!?! Oh wait, that "24" in your name must have something to do with your age....
