Nuts?

I have just started the paleo diet and i was at the store looking for some natural nuts to get to put on my salad, and just eat plain. I just went to the store and had a really hard time finding any kind of nuts that follow the paleo diet guidelines and are gluten free at the same time. i know that naturally, nuts dont contain gluten but on the back of the bags that i looked at, they all said something along the lines of: "this product was made in a facility that also processes WHEAT" along with other things like dairy, soy and peanuts. I think that i am very sensitive to gluten and i dont want to eat anything made in the same facility as wheat.

So does anybody know of any kind of nuts that i could get that are not made in the same facility as wheat, and are all natural also? and if so, where could i find them?

Thanks.

Try nuts.com, seriously.

Or buy fresh nuts and toast them yourself.

We use nuts.com too...after many problems with nuts processed on shared equipment.

We have.  She is so limited as to what she can eat.  She has a nutritionist, but they are even at a loss.  Right now, her pain is so significant that she can only eat 5-10 bites a meal.   We just got some labs back today and she is hypoglycemia, anemic and her immune system is shot.  She also is positive for 3 tickborne illnesses.  Thanks for your help!

A much better suggestion than that of the new doctor!

Have you considered putting her on the autoimmune protocol diet?

I suggested she just not eat gluten ans still have the scope because of the pain she has been having.  She has lost significant weight and is failure to thrive at almoat 21.  She has had GERD and bleeding ulcers previously and is having those issues now.  She also has systemic sclerosis, so we know those things are issues with that.  We will find her a new doctor back home too.
