Good Morning!

I had my 5 year colonoscopy/endoscopy and was told they found a polyp.  My follow up with my Gastro is in May - and of course I decided to Google Polyps and now I am freaked out.  I am 43 with Celiac and also IBS - anyone else have a polyp? I know the best is to wait to talk to my Dr but I am stressing myself out.

I don’t know the size or which type I am looking for support and someone to help calm me down!!

Thanks!!!!

I would call and ask.  Usually, if it is cancerous, they will let you know in a few days .  Lots of people have colon polyps....the point is to remove them before they cause issues.

Thank you!!

My last scope set they removed one from my colon and one from my stomach. They came back with a biopsy later and nothing was found. I would say do not worry about and be glad they removed them.

Appreciate the advice.  Thank you!

Same here I have them every time I have a colonoscopy.  Don't worry.  If there is a reason to worry they would call you when they get the biopsies back.  No news is good news!!
