While anti-vaxxers are ranting about a few cases of serious side effects, the mortuary workers in India are burning corpses in the parking lots because the crematoriums are either full or the ovens have melted.

I suspect my employer deliberately gives the second dose to employees on Fridays in case we get side effects so we can be ill during the weekends. All the other days there are only short lines outside the vaccination place. On Fridays the lines are loooong. Got my second dose yesterday and so did a lot of my co-workers. Some of us, including myself, were supposed to work this weekend, but now we're at home with a fever and a headache instead 🤣 In your face, Friday-vaccine-employer! It's like the flu without the sore throat. It's manageable.

I had both doses of the Moderna vaccine, the one that is supposed to have the worst symptoms. It wasn't bad at all. Yes, my arm was sore both times, but the second time, I asked to have the shot put in a little lower in the muscle, further away from my shoulder, and that seemed to help a ton. The first time, I had muscle and bursa pain because the injection site was so high up, but the second time, just muscle pain.

I had a pretty solid headache for a couple days after the first does. And I had a high fever after the second dose, almost 102, but it was short lived and I was completely back to normal in one day.

I hear that Moderna is working on new vaccines/boosters that specifically target the new variants. I look forward to getting those shots too.

I did do a little bit of research into the allergens in the vaccines and was disappointed by how difficult it was to find information. It was completely nonsensical to me that so many sources were saying not to take the vaccine if you were allergic to any of its allergenic ingredients, but then not listing any of those ingredients. But I eventually did find more detailed information. Gluten was not a concern in the vaccines that were available to me.

I'm not going to judge people who are afraid of vaccines. I know that there are genetic differences that make some people more likely to overreact to perceived threats. They can't help it. But I do recommend that, if you fear you might be part of this group, that you recognize that there are times that an abundance of caution can actually have the opposite effect. Not getting a vaccine because you fear some temporary reactions, and then succumbing to covid, would be a tragedy.

Absolutely not will I be taking a unvetted vaccine that has the potential for lifelong illness and/or death for a common virus with a 99.9% life expectancy.

Hoping you are well since it’s been awhile since your post. Wondering if you’ve been keeping up with all of the new info on the vaccine. It will be a very interesting year of info for all. I hope everyone that took it will be fine but I also hope in light of all the new information coming out people won’t be so quick to be mean to those that chose not to take it.

Good words, Lyrica.

Looking for help sourcing gluten-free products that do not contain potato or corn derived ingredients. I have other autoimmune conditions (Psoriatic Arthritis and Sjogrens) so I’m looking for prepared foods as I have fatigue and cannot devote a lot of time to baking my own treats.

I am so sorry you're going through this. It's completely understandable to feel frustrated, stressed, and disregarded after such a long and difficult health journey. It's exhausting to constantly advocate for yourself, especially when you're dealing with so many symptoms and positive diagnoses like SIBO, while still feeling unwell. The fact that you have been diligently following the diet without relief is a clear sign that something else is going on, and your doctors should be investigating other causes or complications, not dismissing your very real suffering.

It is just so sad that health care in the United States has come to this.  Health insurance should be available to everyone, not just the healthy or the rich.  My heart goes out to you.  I would not hesitate to have the test and pay for it myself.  My big concern would be how you could keep the results truly private.  I am sure that ultimately, you could not.  A.I. is getting more and more pervasive, and all data is available somewhere.  I don't know if you could give a fake name, or pay for your test with cash.  I certainly would not disclose any positive results on a private insurance application.  As I understand it, for an official diagnosis, an MD needs to review your labs and make the call.  If you end up in the ER, or some other situation, just request a gluten free diet, and say it is because you feel better when you don't eat gluten.      Hang in there, though.  Medicare is not that far away for you, and it will remove a lot of stress from your health care concerns.  You will even be able to "come out of the closet" about being Celiac!

Yes, I've posted a few times about two companies: Request a Test and Ulta Labs. Also, pretty much we can all request any test we want (with the possible exception of the N protein Covid test and I'm sure a couple of others) with Lab Corp (or Pixel by Lab Corp) and Quest. I much prefer Lab Corp for their professionalism, ease of service and having it together administratively, at least in DC. And just so you know, Request a Test uses Lab Corp and Quest anyway, while Ulta Labs uses only Quest. Ulta Labs is cheaper than Request a Test, but I am tired of dealing with Quest, so I don't use them so much.

PS - I think you meant this site, but I don't believe it has been updated in years: http://glutenfreedrugs.com/ so it is best to use: You can search this site for prescriptions medications, but will need to know the manufacturer/maker if there is more than one, especially if you use a generic version of the medication: To see the ingredients you will need to click on the correct version of the medication and maker in the results, then scroll down to "Ingredients and Appearance" and click it, and then look at "Inactive Ingredients," as any gluten ingredients would likely appear there, rather than in the Active Ingredients area. https://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/
