Mia Mia, I am so sorry you are not feeling well. I used to get colonics once or twice a week for a time and I always felt horrible afterwards for a day or so, they really took a lot out of me. Please rest, and I too hope tomorrow will be a better day for you

Well....far as I know that particular job has not been filled...so I'm thinking as long as you don't do anything sooooo idiotic as to bring gluteney Burritos and HAMBURGERS into Rachelville...the job is yours (if you choose to stay).

Besides, if you even tried something like this the geese would be all over it! Like "white on rice".

Oh...since that particular job wont require alot of effort on your part....you will need to actually pick something else a little more "functional". I mean...even the town bum has a side job clearing out the tumbleweeds.

OK- my "colonoscopy" tomorrow has become quite the family drama.

My hubby (Kurt) has this huge board meeting tomorrow a.m. that he has been preparing months for so he was staying in Boston tonight (about an hour and a half away but also where I'm having my oscopy) so I made plans to have someone else bring me in in the am (his brother who was my best friend in high school and college and how I met Kurt to begin with.... uhm..OK I dated his brother first but it was like 10 years before Kurt and I got together and short-lived and clearly MUCH BETTER as a friendship but has gotten many a laugh nonetheless).

So, kind hearted BIL is going to take poopy SIL in, drop her off and Kurt is going to pick her up.

Well, my poor hubby gets to the place he's suuposed to be staying tonight with a co-worker (I insisted he NOT come home and follow his plans because this is a BIG board meeting) and the guy he's staying with comes out to talk to him. The guy's ex-girlfriend is there and she has borderline personality disorder. It took him 4 months to get her out peacefully (she was living with him and she was hitting him)

Well, he has a great way of explaining BPD. There are two types.

Type A 2+2=5 and that's just fine

or

Type B

2+2=4 but it makes you REALLY REALLY angry

Uhm.. she's Type B. So she's there and he comes out and tells Kurt he'll have to seek shelter elsewhere while he tries to get said ex out (I feel really bad for this guy)

So Kurt's coming home and BIL is on his way up and we can't make contact. Just finally got through to BIL and told him he was relieved from his poopy duty.

My gosh- the drama.

Oh and when I went to pick up the lovely medication that precedes this procedure, I'm in CVS and that dumb pop song "So you had a bad day" is playing. I wanted to scream.

Then I get to the convenient store and the woman who works there (she's a hoot- her son Jake has VERY severe colitis and had like 6 feet removed last year) has on her fake surgical scrubs and I tell her and who comes walking in but her son Jake. So from henceforth my procedure is being referred to as a "Jakeoscopy". She tells me to enjoy the red-eye.

So, it has begun. I should just take my lap top into my new "office" and type from there. Oy vey!

This whole thing should come with a massage.

i was so tempted to eat something completely forbidden before I took the "stuff" like a Reese's (I even briefly contemplated a cheeseburger and fries). But am now glad I didn't. well, except maybe the Reese's. Or a pint of Ben and Jerry's chubby hubby. Oh well- too late now.

RACHEL - - Finland - gluten-free Big Macs!! it's true! Go to the website of the Celiac Chicks, they had a whole fab trip to Finland. Finland and Italy, them's my travel plans one day....very Celiac friendly. Must regain that portion of my heart that is STILL in northern Italy.

Robbin - - OMG I think earlier you said something about that crazy JR and HE being my hand-holder....I probably would have a gluten reaction just from having him in the room....but yes, he does have a beautiful voice, and it is getting raspier with age....maybe I should call him.... ha ha h aha

Sorry I got lost and couldnt report in.

I have learned my lesson and have taken measures so that if something so tragic (yes, I went through withdrawl) were to ever happen again....the Rachelvillians wil be able to contact me.

I got back in my car and I said out loud, "Please God, give me something in my life that I can feel this GOOD every day . . . that I can help at least one person EVERY DAY that I could feel that I have done something good for someone . . . " It was not so long after that -that I got to open my clinic . .

Good googly moogly, holy cow, and jeepers. I am gone a few hours and wow...so much has happened! Bev, yikes-sounds like a celiac seinfeld episode at your place, lol. All jokes aside, though I hope they figure this out -too much already, right? I was so frustrated today at lunch I wanted to throw my plate across the room (no I didn't do it, it was circa 1930 thrift store gem Just watched Antiques Roadshow, lol) Anyhoo, I had eaten a chicken salad sandwich-all homemade-Hellman's canola mayo, home grown onion, organic celery(well scrubbed) and got a hot flushing headache within 20 minutes. This happens lately no matter what I eat. Then later around 6:00-hit with big bad D. What the heck? I am so tired of this "food war" as you all are, I am sure. My ds asked me if I wanted a " whaaaa burger to go with my french cries" when I whined. He is a "Mister" tonight too, Cecilia, lol.

I am trying so hard to find out some answers and something that might help us all. I am going to try to fast a couple of days and then try one food at a time, journal every single thing and symptom and dissect each and every chemical in the stuff if I have to. This soooo sucks that we are so sick still after giving up so much already.

Ryan-I have had similar situations with moving that Patti had but dh came home on weekends. It actually made us appreciate each other more and helped us become closer in a lot of ways. A separation will not break the bond if the bond is strong to begin with.

Oh my goodness, please let us know everything that happens and all reports.... I had the ultrasound thing done on my heart... but I don't know what MUSA is... so I guess I'm not in the know

The MUGA Scan... aka MUltiple Gated Acquisition is a pretty easy test realy. I show up and they take some blood (why do docs ALWAYS need blood? Sheesh) and then they put a radiotative dye in it and inject it back in to me. Thats the freakest part cause you blood at this point is COLD and it it freaking weird feeling it travel up you arm to your heart. Theres no way to describe how wierd that feels.. anyways after that they stick me under a big camera and I have to try and lay still for it for a while OMG thats so HARD!

As for why? The short version, my heart is all brooken and stuff.

The longer version... I have a left bundle branch block. You see there are 2 major nerve branches that contorl your heart, one on the right and one on the left. In my case the one onthe left is non functional (aka dead) so theres no "BEAT NOW" message being sent to the left side of my heart. The body is designed with a back up plan for this case, and the message can travel via the right side and jump over, but its slower and less efficent. So the end result is my heart does not pump enough blood. I score about 44 or so % in what they call "ejection faction", which is not at all good.

So I get this MUGA twice a year to see if its getting worse or stable. If its stalbe I might be okay, if its getting worse that would be very bad. A pacemaker is almost garrenteed to be in my future... oh yea. Im only 31 way to young for this junk.
