Hee Hee!

I'm still got a bit of Bowel Growl, but i slept better last night (wifey too). I'll be close to "normal" tomorrow (normal is not an adjective normally associated with this loon). I don't ever hope to be normal..."regular" is all i can hope for :P

You said "bowel growl" :D

Here's to feeling regular by tomorrow!

Richard, I think you've got it...Annie found Susie's mojo! What else could a "funny" lump be but the lost mojo? Of course...she was playing around with it, and swallowed it. Hey, maybe Bev's mojo is there, too...didn't we hear there are two lumps?

Speaking of interesting things in dogs, the most startling thing I have ever seen in Gus's poop was when he was still fairly young and everything was being inspected and gnawed....a sewing needle. Incredible. Dogs...they certainly seem to have more interesting poop than we do (wait, I'm talking about a bunch of celiacs, here...things, I hear, can get rather interesting with us) ..

My brother's dog started eating an old chair which of course passed on through. He declared the dog defective since his stuffing was coming out.

Nice Av work, Richard and gorjuss kitty, Patti. I need to take a decent picture of my JosieDog so you can all be envious of my barking, deck chewing, jump on the company dog.

Talking of wee (*snigger*) - - Will the kitty done a wee on my bed <_<

He bats my face with his paws to wake me up in the morning ...and I thought his paws were wet!!! <_<

Anyhoo, I got up and got in my sons bed and left hubby to discover it (hee-hee)

BTW Kitty Will was seen by the vet (don't want to 'spook' the pets) today & he thinks he has a sprain on his leg - no breaks :)

Thus began Will's discovery of what the 'carry box' is for !!!

Hope Annie is ok ;)

Dontcha just miss the old coot sometimes - my god how NON PC was he?

Susie good to see you posting, how are you holding up? What is the latest?

Hi Julie :)

I am just moping around here. Haven't heard anything and I pick Annie up at 5. Tika - she has taken to her bed in the back bedroom as the DEVIL DOG from next door is staying with us. She is terrified of him. Spike is an extremely annoying, ill-mannered little terrier - - highly exuberant and still puppy-ish and that doesn't sit well with my old, autistic cranky dog. So she just stays back there all the time. it's SO crazy. Quite funny but I never laugh at her....out loud. ;)

oh my Lord.

Annie has had some GOLDEN poops - when she's eaten half a bag of hershey's kisses or nuggets...lots of golden foil. And Crayon poops are quite colorful as well.

My brother's dog started eating an old chair which of course passed on through. He declared the dog defective since his stuffing was coming out.

oh good LORD! If ONLY I had something that had been run over by a celebrity.....IF ONLY!!!!! Shall I just LIE and SAY it was run over?

Do you know what I found in a box of old stuff the other day.....a very old tennis tournament program autographed by Efrem Zimbalist jr. Think that would fetch anything?:lol:

Now i must come up with a pic of my sweet lassies....

oh FINALLY Richard has a normal photo! Such beauties, your lassies!!!

Am goign to have to post Super Annie as my avatar, thank you for sending it along. ;)

The house is very quiet today, without the Weasel following me from room to room......

Janet and Richard--your children are beautiful! :)

My grown sons would kill me if I put their picture up on the internet  Take it from me, though--they're both handsome guys. Thank goodness neither one of them looks like me :P:huh:

Isn't she in California? That would be 8 o'clock for us east coasters.

Speaking of devil dogs, I am really starting to think my dog has some kind of loose wiring. :( She has had major problems with aggression, and I thought I had gotten it trained out of her, but now this past week it's resurfacing. I don't understand, I raised this dog from 3 weeks, bottle fed her and everything :( :( I am so depressed. And sick. Ugh.

Sorry to be a downer.

This article does not address migraines at all.  Yes, red wine and sulfites are often mentioned in connection with migraine triggers. With me, any kind of alcoholic beverage in very modest amounts will reliably produce a migraine. Nitrous oxide generators, which are vaso dialators, also will give me migraines reliably. So, I think most of my migraines are tied to fluctuations vascular tension and blood flow to the brain. That's why the sumatriptan works so well. It is a vaso constrictor.

Excessive dietary tyrosine can cause problems.  Everything in moderation.   Sulfites can also trigger migraines. Sulfites are found in fermented, pickled and aged foods, like cheese.  Sulfites cause a high histamine release.  High histamine levels are found in migraine.  Following a low histamine diet like the low histamine Autoimmune Protocol diet, a Paleo diet, helps immensely.    Sulfites and other migraine trigger foods can cause changes in the gut microbiome.  These bad bacteria can increase the incidence of migraines, increasing histamine and inflammation leading to increased gut permeability (leaky gut), SIBO, and higher systemic inflammation.   A Ketogenic diet can reduce the incidence of migraine.  A Paleo diet like the AIP diet, that restricts carbohydrates (like from starchy vegetables) becomes a ketogenic diet.  This diet also changes the microbiome, eliminating the bad bacteria and SIBO that cause an increase in histamine, inflammation and migraine.  Fewer bad bacteria reduces inflammation, lowers migraine frequency, and improves leaky gut. Since I started following the low histamine ketogenic AIP paleo diet, I rarely get migraine.  Yes, I do eat carbs occasionally now, rice or potato, but still no migraines.  Feed your body right, feed your intestinal bacteria right, you'll feel better.  Good intestinal bacteria actually make your mental health better, too.  I had to decide to change my diet drastically in order to feel better all the time, not just to satisfy my taste buds.  I chose to eat so I would feel better all the time.  I do like dark chocolate (a migraine trigger), but now I can indulge occasionally without a migraine after.   Microbiota alterations are related to migraine food triggers and inflammatory markers in chronic migraine patients with medication overuse headache https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11546420/

Then we would need to cut out all meat and fish as they are richer sources of tyrosine than nuts and cheese. Something else about certain tyrosine rich foods must be the actual culprit.

I agree that KAN-101 looks promising, and hope the fast track is approved. From our article below: "KAN-101 shows promise as an immune tolerance therapy aiming to retrain the immune system, potentially allowing safe gluten exposure in the future, but more clinical data is needed to confirm long-term effects."

Thank you so much for having the courage to share this incredibly vivid and personal experience; it's a powerful reminder of how physical ailments can disrupt our fundamental sense of self. What you're describing sounds less like a purely psychological body dysmorphia and more like a distinct neurological event, likely triggered by the immense physical stress and inflammation that uncontrolled celiac disease can inflict on the entire body, including the nervous system. It makes complete sense that the specific sensory input—the pressure points of your elbows on your knees—created a temporary, distorted body map in your brain, and the fact that it ceased once you adopted a gluten-free diet is a crucial detail. Your intuition to document this is absolutely right; it's not "crazy" but rather a significant anecdotal data point that underscores the mysterious and far-reaching ways gluten can affect individuals. Your theory about sensory triggers from the feet for others is also a thoughtful insight, and sharing this story could indeed be validating for others who have had similar, unexplainable sensory disturbances, helping them feel less alone in their journey.
