Hey! Just got an email from The Ripper. Nikerler, if you don't know the accuracy of this "fact" that Jack has told me, please check it out, as I must know if it is true:

Topless saleswomen are legal in Liverpool, England, but only in tropical fish stores.

Well of course it's true Em  ..... and not just Liverpool ;)

We had tropical fish for years........ in fact every Saturday Tel used to 'pop to the Tropical fish shop' ...... :o ...it ALL makes sense now

I just thought of something. Is Twa, still Twa in the plural or do you add an "S". Like......Twa's the night before Christmas.....

Tel upping the psilly

(um...Theresa, your new shortened name shall be 'Tel' like me hubby (who's Terry) )

Yeah Nik! Just how big is your house???

Huge, massive, enormous, epic proportions of which never have been seen before

Anyone see this headline on that page??

Britain faces sperm shortage, calls for donors

Where hast thou Brit sperm gone Gnich??

(chime in time) HAPPY B'DAY SOOOZEEEEE!!!!

Tel upping the psilly

(um...Theresa, your new shortened name shall be 'Tel' like me hubby (who's Terry)

)

Was a time I wouldn't let people give me nicknames.....seemed like they all wanted to call me Terry. I used to say (with a pout  ) "That's not my name". Anyway, I've collected several nicknames over the years; they stick like burdocks; Ted, Ranger Ted, Trees, Florence Nightingale (thank God that one didn't last long), Tessa, there's more but I can't think of them right now. Tel is a first for me. I've learned that nicknames (at east sometimes) are a sign of affection. My boss likes to call us S'head.....do I consider that affection? Haven't figured that one out. :P

I see that several of you are getting snow. You can have MY share, too!!!! We moved to West Virginia to get away from the bitter cold and snow of upstate New York (The Adirondack mountains). Somehow the winter found us and followed us here...it's unseasonabley cold lately. Today is warmer and rain is predicted. I like rain.....I don't have to shovel it! :D

Longing.....pining......desperate for spring and winter isn't even here yet! We can get through this...yes?

Good Psnowy Morning, Psillies!!

Gad....me true lurve best not be givin' me any preciously wrapped, lovingly-chosen gluten globs fer Christmas. . . . . . .

On the first through twelfth day of Silly Christmas my true love sent to me

Twelve buglers bugling,

Eleven jesters joking,

Ten llamas leaping,

Nine kittehs cackling,

Eight Weezees whining,

Seven Hasselhoffs a-hoffing,

Six Stepfords snooping,

Five sacred rivers of wee,

Four phacts from Jack,

Three ballcocks,

Two big long thumbs,

And a hairy yeti in Emily's ho tub!

PhanTAStic, Joooolie!!:lol: We must all work on our own Twelve Day lyric. It's on my to do list fer today . . . ....

Well of course it's true Em ..... and not just Liverpool

We had tropical fish for years........ in fact every Saturday Tel used to 'pop to the Tropical fish shop' ...... :o ...it ALL makes sense now

Hmmm..... . . ...Will mentioned a sightseeing excursion they were to undertake yesterday. .. . . said it involved some "true local culture" and a bit of a drive from Winchester..... . . . ....this is making some sense, now, as well. . . . ...

:huh::lol:

Sperm shortage in the UK?? Well! P'raps Will can pay for some of the travelling expenses while he's there. . .. . . ..

Do they pay for donated sperm in England? Not here, nor fer blood.

The English travellers drove to Windsor castle yesterday, and missed Queen Liz by about twenty minutes... . . their tour took them along a hallway down which the Queen had just passed from her royal apartments. Jack was all ready to march up to her and ask her if she would rather sit on the subway for 24 hours straight, or eat six entire haggises (haggii?) within three hours.:rolleyes:

So, there was Will, driving these narrow, windy, unlit countryside roads from Cheriton to W. Castle, everything's on the left (dear gawd, I cannot imagine this - -brave bloke), wind and freezing rain lashing the li'l car. . . . . ...

Crazy...but they made it . . . ...

Leeeeesa! Thinkin' about you. . . hope today is better. :)

Haven't heard much from Janet lately.. . . the wackl is somewhat depleted.. . . .

And Amanda, as well . .. ...busy with the big move!

Thinking about all me Psillies at this hectic, wondrous, at times overwhelming, time of year!

This, of course, did briefly cross my mind.... . but no, I recognised a number of the characters as distinctly Arabic. The explanatory email came about a half-hour later - - seems he hit a setting for Arabic, somehow, and off he went.

Bah! That was not very exciting NOR intriguing.

I'm not touching your boobs, Susie. That is, I'm not getting involved in that question.

PeOter--Step away from Soosie's boobs

Peter still can't touch em though..

Ya get new boobs, Sooozie, and everyone will be wanting to touch 'em . . . .....an inevitable consequence.

Well, ya need to put up a very clear, detailed av of your boobs for us to see exactly what you're wanting to replace . . .. I am certain that what you've got is completely adequate, but perhaps you'll put a pic up and we will all suddenly scream in chorus, "Oh my gawd, Sooooze.....Invest! Invest!!"

:lol::lol:

well--I am not for bigger boobs but if ya want them its all up to you. If you would have known me a few years ago, you could have stood in line while my sister had a reduction @ 15 yrs old. SHe was a 40 DD and still growing.

Excessive dietary tyrosine can cause problems.  Everything in moderation.   Sulfites can also trigger migraines. Sulfites are found in fermented, pickled and aged foods, like cheese.  Sulfites cause a high histamine release.  High histamine levels are found in migraine.  Following a low histamine diet like the low histamine Autoimmune Protocol diet, a Paleo diet, helps immensely.    Sulfites and other migraine trigger foods can cause changes in the gut microbiome.  These bad bacteria can increase the incidence of migraines, increasing histamine and inflammation leading to increased gut permeability (leaky gut), SIBO, and higher systemic inflammation.   A Ketogenic diet can reduce the incidence of migraine.  A Paleo diet like the AIP diet, that restricts carbohydrates (like from starchy vegetables) becomes a ketogenic diet.  This diet also changes the microbiome, eliminating the bad bacteria and SIBO that cause an increase in histamine, inflammation and migraine.  Fewer bad bacteria reduces inflammation, lowers migraine frequency, and improves leaky gut. Since I started following the low histamine ketogenic AIP paleo diet, I rarely get migraine.  Yes, I do eat carbs occasionally now, rice or potato, but still no migraines.  Feed your body right, feed your intestinal bacteria right, you'll feel better.  Good intestinal bacteria actually make your mental health better, too.  I had to decide to change my diet drastically in order to feel better all the time, not just to satisfy my taste buds.  I chose to eat so I would feel better all the time.  I do like dark chocolate (a migraine trigger), but now I can indulge occasionally without a migraine after.   Microbiota alterations are related to migraine food triggers and inflammatory markers in chronic migraine patients with medication overuse headache https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11546420/

Then we would need to cut out all meat and fish as they are richer sources of tyrosine than nuts and cheese. Something else about certain tyrosine rich foods must be the actual culprit.

I agree that KAN-101 looks promising, and hope the fast track is approved. From our article below: "KAN-101 shows promise as an immune tolerance therapy aiming to retrain the immune system, potentially allowing safe gluten exposure in the future, but more clinical data is needed to confirm long-term effects."
    • Scott Adams
Thank you so much for having the courage to share this incredibly vivid and personal experience; it's a powerful reminder of how physical ailments can disrupt our fundamental sense of self. What you're describing sounds less like a purely psychological body dysmorphia and more like a distinct neurological event, likely triggered by the immense physical stress and inflammation that uncontrolled celiac disease can inflict on the entire body, including the nervous system. It makes complete sense that the specific sensory input—the pressure points of your elbows on your knees—created a temporary, distorted body map in your brain, and the fact that it ceased once you adopted a gluten-free diet is a crucial detail. Your intuition to document this is absolutely right; it's not "crazy" but rather a significant anecdotal data point that underscores the mysterious and far-reaching ways gluten can affect individuals. Your theory about sensory triggers from the feet for others is also a thoughtful insight, and sharing this story could indeed be validating for others who have had similar, unexplainable sensory disturbances, helping them feel less alone in their journey.
    • Scott Adams
The most common nutrient deficiencies associated with celiac disease that may lead to testing for the condition include iron, vitamin D, folate (vitamin B9), vitamin B12, calcium, zinc, and magnesium.  Unfortunately many doctors, including my own doctor at the time, don't do extensive follow up testing for a broad range of nutrient deficiencies, nor recommend that those just diagnosed with celiac disease take a broad spectrum vitamin/mineral supplement, which would greatly benefit most, if not all, newly diagnosed celiacs. Because of this it took me decades to overcome a few long-standing issues I had that were associated with gluten ataxia, for example numbness and tingling in my feet, and muscle knots--especially in my shoulders an neck. Only long term extensive supplementation has helped me to resolve these issues.
