Queen Lizzie's head!

Well....I just punched "John Smith" into a Phacebook search.

It says that there are over 500 pages of them, and as I curiously glanced at the first few, wanting to note their country of origin, I eventually had to stop at page eleven......All eleven pages were still John Smiths from Ottawa! Crap, I'd be there all night, just waiting to get outta me own city. . . . .....

What he said. ;) Hiya Tickle Tawwmmnnmm! Hope you're doing all right!

I just came back from "you know where" ;) . I HAD to know what these flowers, flares, flairs were. It wasn't something to line up on the road behind my stalled car...uh-uh. And I got caught in lalaland and couldn't get out! Yikes! :o:P But I made it. AND the format of the page changed from one message out to another! How'm I gonna figger it out if it changes? Oh the quagmire, quicksand, shifting burning tricky sands of that place :lol::lol:

Can you tell that I'm enjoying the whole thing? Can't wait to waste spend some time there tomorrow! :D

Good Yukon Morning, Psillies!

AND:

♥ ♥ ♥ HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!! ♥ ♥ ♥

It just gets more and more romantic with each passing year. . . . . ...this is sure to make you all sick in its syrupy passion: for our Valentines gifts to one another this year, DH and I gave each other a $181.00 visit from a dishwasher repairman.

And he had SMALL THUMBS..... . . . . . ..

WOOOOOO HOOOOO!!!!!!! Oh, fabulous, I am SO excited!! :):)

The first musher takes off from the starting line in Whitehorse at 11 am their time, and the subsequent mushers are staggered every subsequent ten minutes. Not sure how many mushers have finally qualified and made it to the starting gate this year ... . .last year I believe twenty-one started.

GO, MICHELLE, GO!!

Happy Valentines Day Psillies!!!

So as you know . . . I had to run out at the last minute and get valentines for the preschool kids. Yesterday, when I picked up the mail, I found a tissue covered flower in the mailbox and a little notecard that told me it was from one of my sweet preschool kids. I picked it up and looked down into the tissue and could see rose leaves. I grabbed the mail and headed to the school bus stop to pick up my kids. As I walked, I checked out my new flower . . . it was buried down deep into the tissue paper . . . I moved tissue paper out of my way and then moved leaves out of my way . . . only to find . . . NO flower  . . . it was just the stem :lol::lol: . . . so I brought it in and put it in a vase. I wanted to make my husband jealous . . .:lol::lol:

GO Michelle!!!!

My telehubby and I made a conscious decision NOT to celebrate valentines day.....how's that for romantic newlyweds? I used to work in a retail greenhouse/nursery/florist center. It' amazing how a $9 bookay of roses would suddenly be worth $40!!! I found it to be disgusting way back then...the waste of money....but then again that's just my opinion :P

Must be everybody's over at phacebuk this a.m. It echos in here, and seems hardly anybody's been here yet today....Hellooo.....elooo....loooo....ooooo

:lol::lol::huh:

flourgirl Apprentice

OK....so I go to phacebuk....There's a line in there about my friends had something to day about me...only to get a message in horrible english that basically nothing was said....

And then there is this intelligence test...actually several in one?.....but they want personal information including cell # to get my score.....? I gave no information, but geto shifted around to a couple of other sites that did not want to let me get out! Not too sure I like all of that. So...I guess we have to watch out for the "gimmiks". I pheel so unsophistikated with this stuff....but I'm learning!

Hope you're all well today... :D

So...I guess we have to watch out for the "gimmiks". I pheel so unsophistikated with this stuff....but I'm learning!

Ahhhhhh, yes, little grasshoppuh.........you learn well. ;) Phacebook just recently added that 'something to say about you' to everyone's page.......the Valentine's gift was added by them also.

I wasn't expecting or planning anything for today......too commercial, and besides, we've got to watch our pennies. So hubby comes home yesterday with a $50 gift card from work for his perfect attendance!

So I got to go clothes shopping!!!!!!!! :D<teehee>........I haven't been this size since high school! B)

flourgirl Apprentice

Glad you got to go clothes shopping and enjoyed it! Something I've always disliked. Seems my fashion sense is always out of kilter :lol: .

Been watching the birdies some this morning....very busy bathing day! Can't believe the goldfinches are already turning brighter, and they are all much more vocal. Many robins today (though I pretty much see them year round), red wing blackbirds are back.....and of course those feathered rats (starlings) are making an appearance. Really itching to go outside to play in the dirt...but it's still too early (wet....cold...brrrr). Springs a-comin! :D

curlyfries Contributor

I just luuurve goldfinches!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY Sillies!!!!!!

Not much to share today.....I watched a cute movie last night (at least I thought it was cute) called Penelope with Christina Ricci and James McEvoy. It's kind of a fantasy/fairytale and warm fuzzy hearted. I liked it!

Hope all have a love and (chocolate??) filled day! :D

Good morning! Just barely made that--almost noon here.

We're taking a looong weekend off. We don't have to be at work until Wednesday morning. :)

(OK. We do have to drop by on Monday to feed Becky & Caramel, but the store is closed for the holiday.)

flourgirl Apprentice

Hi Pieterr! Glad you two get to have some time off! :) I'll be working Monday, if the weather is at all decent there will be lots of people visiting the park! 99% of the visitors are great people....but those few......oof! Apparently a National Park is not part of the real world.....road signs mean nothing, and you don't have to be respectful to others, or to the land (to those few, I mean). The warm days we've had recently....it's been a madhouse like in the summer!

Jewwels...hope yer day was a choco-lah-tee day, too!

Later.....

Excessive dietary tyrosine can cause problems.  Everything in moderation.   Sulfites can also trigger migraines. Sulfites are found in fermented, pickled and aged foods, like cheese.  Sulfites cause a high histamine release.  High histamine levels are found in migraine.  Following a low histamine diet like the low histamine Autoimmune Protocol diet, a Paleo diet, helps immensely.    Sulfites and other migraine trigger foods can cause changes in the gut microbiome.  These bad bacteria can increase the incidence of migraines, increasing histamine and inflammation leading to increased gut permeability (leaky gut), SIBO, and higher systemic inflammation.   A Ketogenic diet can reduce the incidence of migraine.  A Paleo diet like the AIP diet, that restricts carbohydrates (like from starchy vegetables) becomes a ketogenic diet.  This diet also changes the microbiome, eliminating the bad bacteria and SIBO that cause an increase in histamine, inflammation and migraine.  Fewer bad bacteria reduces inflammation, lowers migraine frequency, and improves leaky gut. Since I started following the low histamine ketogenic AIP paleo diet, I rarely get migraine.  Yes, I do eat carbs occasionally now, rice or potato, but still no migraines.  Feed your body right, feed your intestinal bacteria right, you'll feel better.  Good intestinal bacteria actually make your mental health better, too.  I had to decide to change my diet drastically in order to feel better all the time, not just to satisfy my taste buds.  I chose to eat so I would feel better all the time.  I do like dark chocolate (a migraine trigger), but now I can indulge occasionally without a migraine after.   Microbiota alterations are related to migraine food triggers and inflammatory markers in chronic migraine patients with medication overuse headache https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11546420/

Then we would need to cut out all meat and fish as they are richer sources of tyrosine than nuts and cheese. Something else about certain tyrosine rich foods must be the actual culprit.

I agree that KAN-101 looks promising, and hope the fast track is approved. From our article below: "KAN-101 shows promise as an immune tolerance therapy aiming to retrain the immune system, potentially allowing safe gluten exposure in the future, but more clinical data is needed to confirm long-term effects."
    • Scott Adams
Thank you so much for having the courage to share this incredibly vivid and personal experience; it's a powerful reminder of how physical ailments can disrupt our fundamental sense of self. What you're describing sounds less like a purely psychological body dysmorphia and more like a distinct neurological event, likely triggered by the immense physical stress and inflammation that uncontrolled celiac disease can inflict on the entire body, including the nervous system. It makes complete sense that the specific sensory input—the pressure points of your elbows on your knees—created a temporary, distorted body map in your brain, and the fact that it ceased once you adopted a gluten-free diet is a crucial detail. Your intuition to document this is absolutely right; it's not "crazy" but rather a significant anecdotal data point that underscores the mysterious and far-reaching ways gluten can affect individuals. Your theory about sensory triggers from the feet for others is also a thoughtful insight, and sharing this story could indeed be validating for others who have had similar, unexplainable sensory disturbances, helping them feel less alone in their journey.

The most common nutrient deficiencies associated with celiac disease that may lead to testing for the condition include iron, vitamin D, folate (vitamin B9), vitamin B12, calcium, zinc, and magnesium.  Unfortunately many doctors, including my own doctor at the time, don't do extensive follow up testing for a broad range of nutrient deficiencies, nor recommend that those just diagnosed with celiac disease take a broad spectrum vitamin/mineral supplement, which would greatly benefit most, if not all, newly diagnosed celiacs. Because of this it took me decades to overcome a few long-standing issues I had that were associated with gluten ataxia, for example numbness and tingling in my feet, and muscle knots--especially in my shoulders an neck. Only long term extensive supplementation has helped me to resolve these issues.
