Scotch used to be the only thing that soothed my glutened stomach--- really... Of course, now I am askeert of it but I think it was the soy I was reacting to, not the scotch at that time. Will try it again; was always my favorite beveridge. I'm getting tired of Bacardi

Speaking of beveridges, we have a would-be tipsy jay on our deck. Clay left his bloody Mary on the bench while he came in for nuts and there he was, sippin' away. He came back in for something else, and there he were again!

Shrew-me......you need to observe the drunken jay and tell us stories of his antics! Got a video camera?

I've never heard of peroxide for phloo. Or for ear wax....but then again....believe it or not....I have never had ear wax! Don't know if it's a Celiac thing......or just my own personal weirdness.

Pay-ter.....fanx for the re-cap. I had forgotten about Onsie-Twosie - Out Goes Suzie! Was lots of phun at the time.....and lots of strange posts. Don't care to do that again any time soon (and yes...we 'specialy :wub: our Psuessley!)

Em...so good to see yer psilly shining thru!

Pah-tay.....what is your avatar?!? So purrty! Hope you and Mark and Bunnerly all pheel swell soon.

All I got's: try eating a green apple, and rosemary tea, and your standard pharmacy stuff. The green apple thing seriously works on me when the headache hasn't reached epic proportions, it works on those nagging ones.

So now I'm putting peroxide in my ears, taking zinc & vitamin C & cod liver oil, drinking Breathe Easy tea and my honey lemon ginger cinnamon tea, and taking tinctures of hyssop, eyebright, and cherry bark blend. And i just added a mix of baking soda, apple cider vinegar, and honey in water.

And what do I get for all this effort?

I get my PERIOD.

Is this a joke?

Anyway, I am feeling a good bit better today than I did yesterday. I might even be able to go to work tomorrow. Whooo.....

HEY! I gots MY period this morning, too!! The same day as our Royal Highness! This should, really, qualify me for some temporary Monarchical Title.. . . ...perhaps Countess of Menses, or Lady in Waiting for Bloatdom, or The Fair Unbarren Baronness..... . ..

I guess we women are hangin' around each other too much......our cycles are synching in our Psilliness... . . . ..

This Rusky thing is warin tin. Spent all day yesterday hoeing around. They have huje fields of tators ( to feed thier Wodka affliction) and ever so feendish beet fields (for thier botched soup). And I hate this stupid backwards scarf I have to wear on my head nad my newly found bulgarian boob, which is rite between My conclave Irish tittles. God! I thot Irish food was bad -all cabbage and potatoes- but the Rushin food is worst. All cabbage and potates and the dreadnaught beet.

I must give a standing ovuation to our czariista for proclaiming her royal period. Long live critter-bearing years.

Joodee, thinking of you and your house today. I just feel like today's the day that a love affair will blossom and you will find a buyer.

loved your house; it looked so beautiful in the picture. When you have time I wish you would tell us more about it, and the National Wildlife Habitat status, etc. It looks like a warm, happy house. :)

How bout the Duchess of Crimson Tides?

I think once I'm better those cinnamon buns are gonna be my 'poor me' treat. I can't have any sugar when I'm sick, but I'll make them soon.

We were to the county fair last night with my coworker and her hubby and 5 yr old daughter. We were going for fireworks but they canceled them last minute. @Gigi2025  Thank you for your interesting post.  Some of what you say chimes with something my gastroenterologist tells me - that he has clients who travel to France and find the same as you  - they will eat normal wheat baguette there without issue, for example.  His theory was he thought it might be to do with the locally sourced wheat being different to our own in the UK? But I have to say my own experience has been quite different. I have been to France twice since my diagnosis, and have been quite ill due to what was then (pre-2019)  poor labelling and cross-contamination issues.  My TTG test following my last visit was elevated - 'proof of the pudding', as we say in the UK!  It was not just a case of eating something like, say, shellfish, that disagreed with me - gluten was clearly an issue. I've also been to Italy to visit family a couple of times since my diagnosis.  I did not want to take any chances so kept to my gluten free diet, but whilst there what I did notice is that coeliacs are very well catered for in Italy, and many brands with the same ingredients in the UK are clearly marked on the front of their packaging that they are 'senza glutine'.  In the UK, you would have to find that information in the small print - or it puts people off buying it, so I am told!  So it seems to me the Italians are very coeliac aware - in fact, all children are, I believe, screened for coeliac disease at the age of 6.  That must mean, I guess, that many Italian coeliacs are actively avoiding gluten because, presumably, if they don't, they will fall ill?

Thank you both very much. I’m pretty familiar with the various tests, and my older two girls with official dxs have even participated in research on other tests as well. I just felt overwhelmed and shocked that these recent results (which I found pretty dang conclusive after having scott clean labs just six months ago) would still be considered inconclusive. Doc said we could biopsy in another six weeks because my daughter was actually way more upset than I anticipated about the idea of eating it for years before doing another biopsy. It doesn’t hurt her, but she’s afraid of how it may be hurting her in ways she can’t feel. She’s currently eating mini wheats for breakfast, a sandwich with lunch, and a side of pasta along with every dinner, so I’m hoping we’re meeting that 10g benchmark mentioned in that second article!

Have you tried a genetic test to look for Celiac genes?  No gluten challenge required.
    • knitty kitty
Hello, @ElisaAllergiesgluten, Have you tried going on a low histamine Paleo diet like the Autoimmune Protocol diet?  A low histamine AIP diet would help your body rid itself of the extra histamine it's making in response to allergies.  Are you Celiac as well?   Since we need more thiamine when we're stressed, adding Benfotiamine, a form of Thiamine Vitamin B 1, can help the body calm down it's release of histamine.  Benfotiamine improves Sailors' asthma.

Don't skimp on the gluten daily while undergoing the gluten challenge!
