could it be a sewer leak? Those can be pretty stinky.

I'm going to go smell the drain . . . be right back

Jacquie, tie Peter up so he can't post for a while, at least until you poor folks get out of winter. You know what happens to phluid phloods in winter - ice!! Icy sewerage??? Yukkity!

Darn210 Enthusiast

It's a possibility that the smell is coming from the drain. I've noticed that we haven't tracked in any ice or snow for a while and the garage floor (and drain) is dry . . . which hasn't happened too often this winter so that may be why the smell is coming and going. I poured a couple of glasses of water down the drain to flush it and I'll see if I notice a difference in the strength of the smell in the morning.

But riddle me this, I don't believe this drain goes to the same kind of sewer line as say a terloit. Maybe something is dead in my drain.

I will inform you of my test results tomorrow. In the mean time . . . Peter, stay away from me!!

Jestgar Rising Star

If something died in the drain it might not get flushed out with lines farther down being partly frozen, or partly empty from other areas being frozen. More likely, I think, is that the dry air has evaporated all the water in the trap that keeps the sewer smells contained (however far down that trap is) so your garage pipe probably does connect to the main sewer pipe, and the smell-protective-traps aren't working.

This happens at my work some times, except I get barraged with nasty chemical smells. Goes away when I pour in some water.

She stuffed him into my can and is making me sit on the lid to keep him inside.

Hereabouts, any drain from within the building goes to the sanitary sewer. You don't know what somebody might let go of in the garage when nobody is looking.

Always make sure that the traps in all your drains have enough water. You don't want vapoUrs from down there to make their way up.

Hiya Oscar--so yer tellin' us PeOter is in the can? Tis more preferable than using the drain

I love his new paper towel commercial with his "parents". It's pretty cute :)

Ummmmm, in case you were wondering... Even as I look outside and see a complete white-out with rapid accumulation, it's not really snowing. According to the weather channel...

Even with Mike Rowe beside me. . . . . ...

It still smells . . . trying to decide if it smells as strong. Maybe Skeeter or Smackl hid some of their broccoli out in the garage somewhere . . . that always stinks when it goes bad.

Let's hope it can't get across the Equator, or the International Date Line!!. I hereby proclaim these boundaries to the phluid phlood. Of course for all the Yanks, I will proclaim the Canadian boarder as another boundary. That only leaves poor Em to run for the hills!! But then, she's the reigning monarch, she can make some kind of proclamation or somethink, Yeah, Em, whatcher gonna do about this impending calamity? :o

All right, I need input as to whether or not this would qualify as phluid onslaught.... . . .you may be able to rest easy, pholks, as phluid indeed flowed here and caused a calamity, of sorts:

Last evening I heard a strange, rattling noise coming from the fridge. It got quite loud, and slowly abated (thank gawd) by the time we went to bed. Well, this morning the fridge wasn't working. I looked carefully inside, and a bag of milk that was sitting on the back of the upper shelf had been slowly leaking, and it was almost empty. It had run all down the back, into the freezer (which is on the bottom) and sat, pooling and freezing. So, the fridge had to be ripped apart by a $$$$$$$$ repairman this afternoon, and the fan and compressor chipped out of the ice milk.

Okay, so phlowing phluids happened here! Destructive, icy phluids! it's gotta count!

Thiamine and other B vitamins are available without a prescription, but it's always best to discuss supplementing with your doctor and dietician.   I take Thiamine Hydrochloride, Benfotiamine, and Thiamine TTFD.  (Avoid Thiamine Mononitrate because it's not well absorbed or used by brain f bodies.)  Benfotiamine especially helps heal the gastrointestinal tract.  Thiamine TTFD is great for improving brain function and mood.  They all work to improve everything, but Thiamine TTFD through the blood brain barrier the easiest, so the brain starts working to control everything better. Every form of Thiamine needs magnesium to make enzymes.  I like Magnesium Threonate which enters the brain more easily than other forms.  Low magnesium contributes to anxiety and depression.  The eight B vitamins all work together, so a B Complex is a good idea.  Don't worry if it already has thiamine in it.  The B vitamins are water soluble and easily excreted.   I get mine online.

So far, current research does not show that celiac disease directly “destroys” the gallbladder or routinely causes it to need removal. What we do know is that undiagnosed or untreated celiac disease can affect digestion in several ways, including changes in bile flow and fat absorption, which may increase the risk of gallstones in some people. That said, gallbladder disease is also very common in the general population, particularly among women, and many people have their gallbladders removed for reasons unrelated to celiac disease. In some cases, digestive symptoms from undiagnosed celiac may be mistaken for gallbladder problems, which can complicate the picture. So while there may be overlap, it is not accurate to say that celiac disease routinely destroys the gallbladder or that most people with celiac will need it removed.

Currently having to stop because of mri imaging and past medical stuff that was told to stop with vitamins that would interfere. I keep asking if im diabetic because of the Ketones and when I looked up it mirrors my issues but im negative supposedly. Its all because Im not eating gluten because formerly diagnosed celiac back then just food consumption. Issues is in Cali they aren't addressing the autoimmune part which im currently battling as " just the flu they call it" not its my controlled by mouth celiac but not controlled autoimmune part which last employment damn near killed me as a bus driver and thats the celiac malpractice issue. No care of the patient, as im in this situation. Celiac should follow FOREVER in medical records no matter marriage change name, insurance change, change of anything. It is a battle that is not fair to the patients at all.
