It's spelt worcestershire sauce (one 'H')

Pronounced (by the natives) wooster - sheer sauce

I wanted to visit Wooster-sheer when we were across the pond in the summer, as the town of Lye is there...Apparently my namesakes started up the village a million years ago. I'm sure it's quite an...interesting...place, with my ancestors all over the place..

It's hard to resist cuddling with my furball too. He keeps me warm and sometimes he kneeds his paws into my back so it is like having a massage too.

It's such adorable, but curious, behavior. Why on earth do they do this?

I guess being obnoxious about what you're eating at parties CAN make a difference.

Worcestershire sauce has been discussed here a few times. The Lea & Perrins sold in Canada is made here by E. D. Smith under license, and contains malt vinegar. The one sold in the US is gluten free, but not the one available in Canada.

It has been reported that 'Wizard' brand, made by Edward and Sons is available in some stores in Canada, but I have never seen it. It is an organic product, so you might find it in specialty stores.

OMG - did I tell you about my mom's um, very RANDY kitten? good Lord.....Georgie is about 8 months old....she had him neutered at whatever age you're supposed to - - but, one of his testicles had not descended, and so remained inside. GOOD GAWD.......he was exhibiting his, er, very aroused state of behavior by means of: raping the other two cats that live there and also by "finding stimulation" on all sorts of inanimate objects......the tv control, every kind of blanket, my mom's forearm, whatever.

so.......the vet did finally perform surgery to, fully neuter the poor devil.....and now he is quite a bit more manageable.

But sometimes......it did get quite funny.....but also could be quite gross - I"ll spare you the details

I have been lost in rural Virginia for several days now. I had about 11 pages of reading to do before I posted and I am still on a sllllooooowww server. . . but it's better than it was the other day. Don't even have any silliness to contribute. Just wanted to let you know that I am still "listening" so you best not be talkin' smack about me.

Shall I share my secret of NOT gaining wait this Christmas? . . . Have someone bring a stomach virus to the Christmas celebration!!! So far 5 out of 10 have had it (me included). Two may have escaped just in time. Two took it with them (unbeknownst - is that how you spell that?) to Mexico (I feel sorry for the passengers on that plane). So far my hubby and kids have remained unaffected, unattacked, uncontaminated. We drive back to Indiana tomorrow . . . maybe they are saving it for the car ride.

I am really looking forward to getting back to my own home/bed/kitchen and I'm sure Tom can relate.

Peter, I posted on your gravy thread . . . I'm sure you followed my advice as the gravy was fantastic here this year. And more importantly I'm sure you didn't follow Sarah's hot jello gravy recipe. I noticed that Sarah has not been posting. Has she been lost in the postChristmas sale frenzy?

I would suggest getting any of the cold iced teas, they have green, black and passion fruit. Ask for the iced tea shaken lemonade and for it to be sweetened. I always get the black tea and John loves the passion fruit.

All too regularly, in the states, I see/hear minor attempts at humoUr, which start or end w/ the phrase "Only in America".

1) Do the majority of members of the UN Security Council have their own national versions of this phrase w/ humourous intent?

2) Does most of N. America think this is inclusive or just wrong?
