Well i love the face wipes, so gentle and smell good

i love the lip scrubber, my lips feel so good now, crap i forgot to put my lipstick on cause they feel so good lol.

I like the mint concelor but it still dont hide my redness from dh and rosacea, i was hoping once i got the mint stuff i would love the foundations, and well i might have to go back to liquid foundation ( i know i hate to) but i need more coverage. I used the new car smell foundaton, i liked it at first and now i look kinda orange lol. I used the medium summer foundation, its ok. For my eyes i used pink pajamas on top, auburn for the crease and an purple for the bottom, i have no idea what i was trying to do there lol and smokey for an eyeliner, I am going to have to redo it before i leave this house today lol.

paula

off to try the lipstick

Well like a good little cult member, I washed all my brushes last night. :P And, like a really good cult member, I had backup brushes for most everything so I could still put my makeup on this morning. :) And, like an obsessed good cult member, I have decided that I NEED another eyeshadow brush because that's the only backup brush I didn't have

I've been thinking of going ahead and sending in another order BEFORE the next special, lol, just so I can get that brush! :P My obsessive cult status is rearing it's madeup head.

Donna gets a gold star for her cult like behavior today!!:lol:

GUESS WHAT

i got my makeup

YAY!!!! Let us know how you like everything Paula.

In an effort to increase my standing in the cult, I have been watching everyday Minerals videos on youtube. Most of them are poorly done with vapid girls expounding the virtues of EM in their best Valley Girl voices. "Yeah, like, hi. I'm Tiffaneee. I am gonna talk todaee about Evauhreeday Mineruhlsss."

OMGosh, this cracks me up!

Thanks for taking one for the team Colleen, definitely a gold star day for you too!

Great tips you shared, I did not know that.

I think I am heading on over to You Tube to look for these videos, just for kicks and giggles :D:D

Thanks on the tip on the water thing, i might have to try that before i completely give up on the foundation, cause i would really hate to. Maybe i also need an good moisturizer to help it look smoother. Does anyone know of any that are safe.

So just an update on my new make-up! I love it! The trick to long-lasting coverage for me is the intensive foundation along with the finishing dust stuff. All day long I looked great! It was really nice, and my skin looked really amazingly clear. :D

i got my makeup, my hubby was headng back to work and the guy was at our door. Im off to shower now. I cant wait to try the lip stuff to get off the dead skin and lip stick and eye shadow and the mint concelor and my new foundations that look very pretty. Ughh not to decide on what eyeshadow, and how do i use the eyeliner, i forgot lol

paula

I'm so glad they delivered today. I was hoping you wouldn't have to wait until tomorrow! :)

I put a small drop of water in the lid with a pinch of mineral makeup and apply it with the EM eyeliner brush. Some others, I think Donna is one uses the eyeliner dry.

Most of them are poorly done with vapid girls expounding the virtues of EM in their best Valley Girl voices. "Yeah, like, hi. I'm Tiffaneee. I am gonna talk todaee about Evauhreeday Mineruhlsss." But I did manage to get a few good tips from some of them. One was if after you buff in your mineral foundation, if you find that it looks a little bit chalky, mist your face a bit with water. This helps the minerals settle in better. I tried it and it works. You have to use just a fine mist, though, not big drops. You guys probably already knew that, but it was news to me.

LOL! I might just have to go take a look at those videos.

Glad your liking your make up. It's amazing how nice it makes our skin look.

Oh and for the record. I emailed EM about the status of their skin products and ALL of EM is Gluten Free!

So...you know your addicted to EM when:

1. You choose your clothes according to the makeup colors your going to wear.

2. You plan a day ahead what makeup your wearing the next day.

3. You know you must have every brush EM puts out.

4. You spend over $30.00 in makeup because you like the new "special".

5. You wear makeup even when your planning on staying home for the day.

Feel free to add ladies. This could be fun! :)

So I did the sassy Saturday thing. Bathed. Put on a pile of makeup. Did tons of dark eyeshadow, blush, lipstick, the whole nine yards. When my friend showed up he stared at me with very confused expression and said "what's going on?" because, of course, we were just going out to haul wood to his house...

It was great fun. I'm sure his roommate was equally confused to see me in scruffy, wood chip covered clothes and a face done up like a lingerie catalog ad.

Thank you!

I wonder if mixing the concealor with a little water would make it more substantial for you (or did you do that, lol). Course, then you might have the KERMIT affect going on, but it might be worth a shot. :P

Okay, must give the lip gloss one more try and order the plum.

I wouldn't recommend my moisturizer, lol, but I do think it helps.

Yep, I use it dry, but may eventually try it wet.

I don't get it! j/k Um, every one of those applies to me. I have one to add:

6. You plan a shopping trip centered solely around buying "accessories" for your makeup habit.

Case in point. I went to a really neat store we have here called Storables. They have any and all kinds of storage containers. Went there soley to scope out what I could find for my makeup stuff.

What I found: 2 different kinds of little mini travel containers (like little pill cases) that would be suitable for putting my minerals and unpetroleum in to make my own lip gloss; another little set of drawers thingy to put in my linen closed to hold the "overflow" of mineral containers; a mini funnel to aid in getting those pesky minerals into a small container, and a little plastic container that will fit inside my tote so I can "add a compartment" whenever I want. :P

9. When your order arrives, you speed home and lock yourself in the bathroom with it so the kids can't interrupt as you paw through it.

10. You start looking at complete strangers and analyzing their makeup and think about how EM would look on them.

11. You take complete strangers hostage from other threads in hopes of raising money to feed your EM addiction.

12. You begin to think of all colors as base, lid, crease, and liner.

Ok as the day goes on it looks better and hubby came home from worked and said i look hot lol.

Um, seems like wetting the minerals might work as a liner...haven't tried it though. Hum, okay, must experiment with that, lol.

Yeah, maybe the wine blush, lol. I tried making my lip gloss with Apple blush and my unpetroleum jelly today...it really didn't show up much--it was almost the same color as my lips. I think I either need a lighter pink or a much darker pink...or maybe I'll just add glitter or something, lol.

OK, my new order of EM is sitting on my front porch. I'm trying to learn about regression statistics (which explains the amount of time I've spent on the board today) and I can't leave for 35 more minutes.

Maybe I'll have time to "tart-up" before going to chorale practice tonight!!

Or maybe a bad idea, since the average age of the basses and tenors is probably about 70.

I love #11. What have you negotiated for us Colleen? Can we all expect life-time supplies of cosmetic wipes and angled brow brushes?

13. You're known to stalk DHL vans.

14. You put on foundation (and a bit of blush) to go running, and justify it by telling yourself that the make-up will provide good sun protection.

15. When you refer to your online make-up friends in everyday conversation, people look at you like this ----->

16. You own twelve shades of blush, and plan on ordering more.

17. You considered choosing ten shades of eye shadow an extremely difficult decision.

18. You couldn't decide whether you were warm, cool, beige or neutral, and you REALLY couldn't decide if you wanted matte, semi-matte, intensive or original-glo (and you ponder these things often).

19. Sometimes you feel like kermit.

They refuse to negotiate. When I let it slip that we were going to all do makeovers on Richard untill he looked like Amy Winehouse, they thought it was a positive thing. I really need to brush up on my negotiation skills.

We shall prevail eventually, and there will be eyeshadow samplers for all!

This article does not address migraines at all.  Yes, red wine and sulfites are often mentioned in connection with migraine triggers. With me, any kind of alcoholic beverage in very modest amounts will reliably produce a migraine. Nitrous oxide generators, which are vaso dialators, also will give me migraines reliably. So, I think most of my migraines are tied to fluctuations vascular tension and blood flow to the brain. That's why the sumatriptan works so well. It is a vaso constrictor.

Excessive dietary tyrosine can cause problems.  Everything in moderation.   Sulfites can also trigger migraines. Sulfites are found in fermented, pickled and aged foods, like cheese.  Sulfites cause a high histamine release.  High histamine levels are found in migraine.  Following a low histamine diet like the low histamine Autoimmune Protocol diet, a Paleo diet, helps immensely.    Sulfites and other migraine trigger foods can cause changes in the gut microbiome.  These bad bacteria can increase the incidence of migraines, increasing histamine and inflammation leading to increased gut permeability (leaky gut), SIBO, and higher systemic inflammation.   A Ketogenic diet can reduce the incidence of migraine.  A Paleo diet like the AIP diet, that restricts carbohydrates (like from starchy vegetables) becomes a ketogenic diet.  This diet also changes the microbiome, eliminating the bad bacteria and SIBO that cause an increase in histamine, inflammation and migraine.  Fewer bad bacteria reduces inflammation, lowers migraine frequency, and improves leaky gut. Since I started following the low histamine ketogenic AIP paleo diet, I rarely get migraine.  Yes, I do eat carbs occasionally now, rice or potato, but still no migraines.  Feed your body right, feed your intestinal bacteria right, you'll feel better.  Good intestinal bacteria actually make your mental health better, too.  I had to decide to change my diet drastically in order to feel better all the time, not just to satisfy my taste buds.  I chose to eat so I would feel better all the time.  I do like dark chocolate (a migraine trigger), but now I can indulge occasionally without a migraine after.   Microbiota alterations are related to migraine food triggers and inflammatory markers in chronic migraine patients with medication overuse headache https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11546420/

Then we would need to cut out all meat and fish as they are richer sources of tyrosine than nuts and cheese. Something else about certain tyrosine rich foods must be the actual culprit.

I agree that KAN-101 looks promising, and hope the fast track is approved. From our article below: "KAN-101 shows promise as an immune tolerance therapy aiming to retrain the immune system, potentially allowing safe gluten exposure in the future, but more clinical data is needed to confirm long-term effects."
    • Scott Adams
Thank you so much for having the courage to share this incredibly vivid and personal experience; it's a powerful reminder of how physical ailments can disrupt our fundamental sense of self. What you're describing sounds less like a purely psychological body dysmorphia and more like a distinct neurological event, likely triggered by the immense physical stress and inflammation that uncontrolled celiac disease can inflict on the entire body, including the nervous system. It makes complete sense that the specific sensory input—the pressure points of your elbows on your knees—created a temporary, distorted body map in your brain, and the fact that it ceased once you adopted a gluten-free diet is a crucial detail. Your intuition to document this is absolutely right; it's not "crazy" but rather a significant anecdotal data point that underscores the mysterious and far-reaching ways gluten can affect individuals. Your theory about sensory triggers from the feet for others is also a thoughtful insight, and sharing this story could indeed be validating for others who have had similar, unexplainable sensory disturbances, helping them feel less alone in their journey.
