Is there any kind of small card that you can give to your server w/ a basic description of the problem (celiac disease) and how the food needs to be prepared (plain, no marinades, no contact w/ wheat, gluten products, or a surface where wheat, gluten had been ect) I am finding the servers mean well but like the game of telephone information is not presented in its original form! My friend said she knew someone who had something like this that she handed to the server which was shown in the kitchen.

Any ideas? It is for my son which if he is w/ friends or another family at a restuarant he can pass it off himself. Peace of mind for me I guess!! lol

Yes, there is. Triumph Dining Card are a series of laminated cards in several different languages. They are running a promotion currently. You can find it at www.triumphdining.com.

I have used mine frequently and I highly recommend them.

PM me and I will send you their promotional information.

I second the endorsement for Triumph. They hold up well, are translated into a bunch of different languages, and I've had a great response to them. Just used one this weekend, in fact.

Oops now I see MommaGoose already answered.

But what the heck, I'll copy here what Laura (Happygirl) posted elsewhere for the promo.

Another (free) option is to go to www.foodallergybuddy.com. You can customize your information and print out a whole page of food allergy alert cards. This is sponsored by the National Restaurant Association. I have used this with success when I can tell my server isn't familiar with food allergies or Celiac issues.

I bought the inexpensive laminating covers at Staples so that my card always comes back to me after the chef has been made aware.

Hope this helps!

This is really helpful  I had not considered sugar alcohols or inulin as triggers. Thanks for the practical baking tips too color coding and baking G F first makes a lot of sense. Thiamax (TTFD) plus a B-complex, and if you want benfotiamine, the Life Extension formula covers that at ~100 mg.

High fiber can definitely cause sudden GI distress especially if it’s a new addition but accidental gluten exposure can feel similar. Keeping a simple food/symptom log and introducing new gluten-free foods one at a time can really help you spot the pattern. Thanks for asking  I’m mainly looking for gluten-free staples and snacks. Any recommendations for brands or go-to items would be appreciated.

sorry a bit confused so I should take my B complex along with Objective Nutrients Thiamax for TTFD but what about a Benfotiamine to take. The Life extensions contains Benfotiamine and Thiamine together or im confusing myself. I am trying to see if I take Thiamax what should I take for Benfotiamine. Thanks EDITING after further research I see ones water soluble ones fat soluble. So I guess 100MG as you suggested of Life Extension contains Benfotiamine and Thiamine Hydrochloride. and the Objective Nutrients Thiamax contains TTFD.     would work for me.

I put on over 12kg by eating protein with every meal, 3 to 5 times a day. Eggs, Chicken, Tuna, Turkey etc. I stay away from too much red meat as it can be inflammatory. Scott is correct. I've come across a bunch of Coeliac PT's on Tiktok and Instagram. They all say the same thing, the key is getting enough protein and consistency.
