woot! thanks! it works! (sorry for the excessively bright colors... I don't much bother with fashion sense when I go to yoga... ;-) )

Wow...I think I would die trying to do that Tiffany!!!

tarnalberry Community Regular

nah... it just takes a while to get there. I've been working that one in particular all year, and have been doing yoga for over four years now. (I also had a wall there to help me get into it...) another student in my class can do it in the middle of the room (no wall), and hold it pretty well... it's amazing to watch.

I just want to see if I figured out how to work the avatar stuff...

Jnkmnky Collaborator

Well, that avatar is toooo small!

Hah...I just noticed something under another post that would be more fitting to post here. It's so funny to read the posts now, cause you have Tiffany congratulating someone, and I imagine her with her legs in the air like that saying congratulations and then right after her Stef posted (she's also diving through the air)....

Good avatar...I still don't think I've seen your face, though

Tiffany's or one you put in? Because Tiffany's looks fine to me--definitely on the larger end than the smaller end.

Jnkmnky Collaborator

Sorry. I tried to put an avatar on mine last night. When I checked it, it was tiny. Now I don't see it at all. It was there last night. It must have disapeared-that's how small it was! I'm notoriously useless with technology. My proudest moment was figuring out my IPod last week. Now I'm working on *bum-bum-bum-buuuuuum* my avatar.

Jnkmnky Collaborator

Is it ok to post my attempts here? There may be a few...dozen. I didn't want to start a new topic since Tarnal had one about avatars going already.

Ha...okay :D

Tiffany-love the new avatar. Dang--did it take you a while to learn that pose? Hmmm, maybe when everyone leaves for lunch here at work I'll try it :)

Tiffany, I love your new avatar! The bright colors attract attention!

<-----This is me, by the way!

Jnkmnky, keep trying! This thread is an excellent place to work it out!

celiac3270 Collaborator

Yay! :) Nice to see you.

I also like Tiffany's avatar...bright colors are nicer here than duller, more neutral ones

Jnkmnky Collaborator

There's nothing to read here...I'm checking to see if my avatar is working...

Jnkmnky Collaborator

Oh, so now my new avatar is on every post I've ever written? :) This avatar isn't special to me, I went to one site, picked the first one that made me laugh and tried to put it up....I didn't expect it to pop up on all my posts and be my "signature" avatar. Well, I'm off to find a more mature one. But I did think this one was funny. :D

tarnalberry Community Regular

Congrats on getting it working! ;-)

I like it! ;-)

celiac3270 Collaborator

I know, me too. I laughed when I first read it. :D

I thought the quote was pretty cute and funny B)

Jnkmnky Collaborator

Well, I'll keep it up for awhile! I've got an aresenal of avatars in my photo folder now. I love figuring stuff out!!

Hi Guys:

Can someone lead this computer dense person step by step on putting a picture in the avatar?

Thanks

Carriefaith Enthusiast

*First... Make sure your picture is 150 pixels by 150 pixels in size or less. No bigger than 50KB. And in gif .webp .webp or .png format.

*Click on your name on the message board, Click on "Avatar Options" on the top right hand corner between "Edit my Signature" and "Edit my Profile". If it is on your computer just click on "browse" in the grey box at the page or typ in the address if it is on the web and then click "Update Avatar".

*And Voila :)

Rikki Tikki Explorer

Thanks for the information Carrie. The part I can't seem to comprehend is how to get the picture out of my pictures and make it go to the avatar. :)

I copy and paste my picture onto my desktop and then I go into the avatar option hit browse, find desktop, and then look for the picture and click on it (you may have to double click, I don't remember) and then click update avatar.

I have trouble with nausea. It often starts when I’m anxious about something (home repairs, sick dog) but continues long after the home is repaired or the dog is healthy again. When it happens I eat less and lose weight.  My gastroenterologist suggested ginger or peppermint tea. I don’t know if that will work or not because I haven't had the problem since she suggested it.

Hello  I'm not sure what to think . Seems no matter what I do I get sick. I had some yogurt with only 2 grams of sugar and is labeled gluten free ...the strawberry version seemed to really set me off My jaw is burning as well as my stomach and my feet.  Horrible pain..plus acid reflux and nausea... sensitivity to touch pain. ..yikes !! I don't know if it's from the lactose in the yogurt or if I'm getting an ulcer  This condition can make you question yourself quite a bit.  Then if you are not sure the anxiety comes 😞 Does any of these symptoms sound familiar to anyone? The neuropathy is quite intense.  What do you eat or drink after this happens  Open to suggestions  Thank you

Of course my son is on a 100% gluten free diet.  I wish his symptoms were not debilitating as there are right now.  He cannot work, even when a miniscule of cross contamination occurs.  It's not just GI distress, but intense fatigue, brain fog, depression, anxiety, insomnia, etc.  It's literally neurological inflammation.  Not to be taken lightly here.  We have sought out many other possible ways to cope during this window of time (8 months!!!!)  without success.   AN-PEP does not help and seems like studies on this are not well researched.  So, we are trying this out because research shows some promising results.  And, all participants showed no cravings afterwards, no signs of addiction.  The patch is different than the oral route such as smoking, vaping, gum, pouch, etc.

Have you tried AN-PEP enzymes, for example, GlutenX (who is a sponsor here)? A lot of research has shown that it can break down small amounts of gluten in the stomach, before it reaches the intestines. It might be a better approach than risking nicotine addiction, and the questionable research around this. I also hope that he’s trying to be 100% Gluten-Free.

Hi all  I was diagnosed Coeliac a few years ago and follow a gluten free diet. The list of foods that I can eat without a problem grows shorter on a weekly basis. [I also have diabetes and asthma also].  BUT the reason I am posting this is because I seem to struggle with nausea quite a lot, which is really quite debilitating, and I was wondering if others suffer from nausea, even if following a gluten free diet.
