Ingredients:

1 packet of skinny oven fries

Taco Beef:

1Lb of Ground Beef

1 jar of gluten-free Taco sauce

1 med-large onion cut into small chunks

Sauce:

4 Tbls of Mayonaise

2 Tbls of gluten-free Tomato Ketchup

2 tsp of gluten-free white distilled vinegar

1 packet of grated gluten-free Cheddar Cheese

Method:

In a large fry pan place a little oil over a med heat add chopped onion and sauté.

Remove and set onion aside add mince to the pan and fry till it has changed colour to brown (stirring to avoid sticking)

Add onions back, and the jar of chilli sauce and mix well.

Cover and turn to lowest and allow to simmer, for 5 mins stirring occasionally.

Place oven chips on a tray and bake according to instructions.

Meanwhile, prepare the sauce, stir ingredients together until a uniform pink colour is achieved.

When chips are ready, place on plates, pour over the Taco Beef.

Top with the sauce and scatter on shredded cheddar, place plates under griller

to allow cheese to melt slightly.

Best Regards,

David

David, we call these chili cheese fries. We use sour cream instead of Mayo. Yum!

Welcome to the forum, @yellowstone! The most common ones seem to be dairy (casein), oats, eggs, soy and corn. "Formed" meat products (because of the "meat glue" used to hold their shape) is a problem for some. But it can be almost anything on an individual basis as your sensitivity to rice proves, since rice is uncommonly a "cross reactor" for celiacs. Some celiacs seem to not do well with any cereal grains.

What foods can trigger a response in people with gluten sensitivity? I've read that there are foods that, although they don't contain gluten, can cause problems for people with gluten sensitivity because they contain proteins similar to gluten that trigger a response in the body. I've seen that other cereals are included: corn, rice... also chicken, casein. I would like to know what other foods can cause this reaction, and if you have more information on the subject, I would like to know about it. Right now, I react very badly to rice and corn. Thank you.
