  1. BTW- I just re-read my post, and it sounded like I was soliciting business. That wasn't my intent, I only mentioned it to show I had plenty of experience. I'm happy to answer questions for free!
  2. Websites are very hard to protect. You can protect your design, and your pictures/text. But protecting your idea is nearly impossible. Many places that host websites (servers) will also register your domain name, but it can make switching servers harder. I've been happy with 1and1.com, though doing a google search shows plenty who aren't. Yahoo...
  3. Mine was almost three weeks to the day from when I mailed it. Geoff
  4. That does seem like words fo someone who is not very sensitive. The nice thing about restaurants is you rarely pay for a meal before you've eaten (assuming we're talking about places with waiters!). I'd simply refuse to pay for a meal where I was told to "pick out the croutons" Geoff
  5. Sounds like it could be a suspect. I went through a lot of testing to try and figure things out, but you can very simply try a gluten free diet for a few weeks. If you feel better, then you know you are on the right track. Some people stop there. I personally wanted to know as precisely as I could what was wrong with me, so I did blood testing, and endoscopy...

    ARCHIVED Olive Garden

That's great. But why no tomatoes? Preference or is there something I should know?
  7. The pain is in both my hands and feet. It gets pretty bad at times. It's not my only symptom, I have GI symptoms as well, and insomnia. Since going gluten free 2 months ago, I have seen some improvement in my GI issues, and I sleep like a rock. I'm starting to suspect that I might still be having other food issues, I need to try cutting corn and or...
  8. I don't have anything to offer but my sympathies! Sounds like she's having a tough time, but it's lucky she's got someone like you to watch out for her. Geoff
  9. my last clear glutening I new within 20-30 minutes...ugh. You have my sympathy! Geoff
  10. Sure. Texture was weird. The got this weird slimy texture to them, with little spots of crunchy. Not just soggy, but slimy. They stick to my teeth and get stuck in my molars. It's like they are forming glue in my mouth. UGH. And they taste bad too. Hard to describe, but they taste like licking stamps. I think they are going in the trash. I've...
  11. Well, I just ate a bowl. Let's hope I don't get sick, because it sure wouldn't be worth it. These things are gross! ugh. Another GFGF. (gluten free gross food) Geoff
  12. Oh Sorry. It was obvious to me, since the box is right in front of me! It's the cereal.
  13. It does not appear on their gluten free list. The Allergy warning doesn't mention wheat. Even in the statement about good manufacturing processes. Ingredient list: Rice, Cane juice crystals, Salt, Caramel Color, Ascorbic Acid, Reduced Iron ,Niacinamide, Vitamin A Palmitate, Pyridoxine Hydropchloride, Riboflavin, Thiamin Hydrochloride, Folic Acid...
  14. That's horrible. They should have offered some alternative to your daughter. Geoff
  15. Try these links: Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link here are some recipes: Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link Of course, if you make it yourself it won't come in a little foil covered cup. Geoff
  16. It's huge in LA. There are Boba restuarants all over the San Gabriel valley, all the cousins on my wife's side are really into it. They go to Boba like my friend and I would go for coffee. I've tried it, and it was OK, but I never really got into it. I'd rather have a Mocha.
  17. I've been dealing a lot with patents lately, for a start-up I'm working on. I wonder if Dr. Fine's reluctance to publish or lack of published work is due to patents and difficulties. Follow me here. It's hard to get a process patented, and without a patent, if he publishes enabling material, others could start offering the same test. Patents and...
  18. I'm 31. I have a disease. It requires me to be VERY careful about what I eat. I have a hard time with it. When I do a good job, the clearest, most immediate symptom of my doing a good job over the week is in the restroom. Thus, when I do a good job, and it "shows" I'm quite proud of myself. Meaning I derive satisfaction from...
  19. I love cereal. For years I had Granola, Raisin Bran, or some type of flakes-fruit-nuts type cereal fro breakfast, beleiving it was healthy! Ironic huh? Now, it seems all the cereals I can find are either boring (Rice puffs) or sugary sweet kids cereals. I was pretty excited to have an excuse to eat Fruity Pebbles, but the novelty wore off quickly. ...
  20. I'm still not getting the results I want from gluten free, so I'm thinking about an elimination diet. What's the best way to do it? Any great websites that really explain how to do it effectively? Geoff
  21. That's exactly the type of info I'd want to capture. I live near Folsom and I didn't even know that!!! Geoff
  22. "3 Pepperoni Pizzas $29.97 + $66.95 SH 5 Pepperoni Pizzas 5 Pepperoni Pizzas $49.95 + $66.95 SH 10 Pepperoni Pizzas 10 Pepperoni Pizzas $99.90 + $90.34 SH" Thanks for the heads up Tim! But OUCH. I don't think I miss pizza that much. Geoff
  23. I had an idea for a new website. I love eating out, and it's so tough to do now. I also travel a lot. I had an idea that would combine some of the features of this forum (not celiac.com, but the restaurant forum) and do a google mashup for mapping. Key Features: Users can add restaurants Users can rate restaurants on a variety of things, including...
  24. Hmm. Stir Fry. Sushi. Vietnamese food. Pizza made with toasted rice tortillas Pamela's Ginger cookies (I'd eat them even if I was magically cured of Celiac.) Those are my favorites. Oh, and I've always loved omlettes. My current favorite is asparagus and some kind of unusual fun cheese, maybe mushrooms. (sorry about the last one all...
